Well crap.., Was looking forward to that fight.. and had a multi bet on ending with Nunes winning... at least it's 1 less I've got to win. ______ Anyone remember when Travis Browne was seen as a future champ years ago? God he's awful now. He has less of a chin than Overeem. Used to think he was the dark horse of the HW division just a few years ago. Damn shame. |

Well done, Mr Whittaker!! Really pleased for him. 😀 Thought Werdum won that one. Whatever though, was just hoping for a good fight. It's a tough one... Werdum definitely seemed like the winner - but going by the (as pointed out) flawed 10 point/round-by-round scoring, Overeem probably won the first 2 rounds so "won". It was a pretty poor fight either way though... |

I almost missed Johnson/Gaethje. So glad I remembered last second to watch the event. Incredible showing by both guys. I was lucky enough to catch just about all of Justin's run in WSOF, so it's great to see him come over and make a mark immediately. Though honestly, it's hard to imagine him not getting laid out cold sooner, rather than later. Regardless, I fully expect him to put on some great shows moving forward.
Definitely crazy to see how far Browne has fallen. Personally I'm shocked he got this many chances to redeem himself, but I'd imagine this is the last we'll see of him in the octagon (unless he gets a career resurgence elsewhere and returns in a year or two).
And lastly, I wanted to strangle Todd Grisham for butchering Sakurabas name during the Friday fights.

Bisping is one of the most undeserving champions in UFC history. Hasn't fought since October, and has 4 decisions in his last 5 fights. He's no Champion, and Whitaker will prove that when they fight. |

Yeah, beating Jacare, Yoel, is a total joke. Two of the best fighters in the division who people say the 'active' champ has been ACTIVELY avoiding. Whittaker fought them both like a champ should. He's on a bigger win streak than Mike too. Mike arguably lost BOTH the Silva fight AND the Hendo fight. The last two he actually did decidedly beat are Dolloway and Rockhold. The Thales fight was even a split. Say what you will about Robert but the guy has made a HUGE mark in the middleweight division and been dominant in such a short time considering he was a Welterweight just a few fights ago. |

I'm a big Bisping fan, but I've gotta disagree with you there... this is one of the few times where an Interim title seems genuinely necessary: Bisping has been injured and won't be fighting until around November, so he'll have been out over a year. Add to that the on/off/on again/WTF is going on? fight with GSP - which, if it happens, would hold the division up even further if there was no Interim title. If GSP still wants a MW title fight, I think the ideal situation would be a Bisping Vs Whittaker unification fight first - then GSP fight the winner. |

Pretty suprised to see that Gegard signed with Bellator!! I knew he hadn't signed/renewed his contract with the UFC but I figured he'd eventually be back. They really screwed the pooch. Moose is TALENTED as all hell. Dude's got one of the most impressive resumes in MMA and is still young enough to get even better. Bellator is killing it with some of these signings, good for them.

Read about that too. Bellator seems to be going from strength to strength with their signings. Sure, most are ex-UFC but it's given Bellator a lot of cred.

Sounds like Whittaker may be out until 2018. Not sure if it's got to do with the leg injury or if it's something else but that is disappointing. Think it's too late to reschedule the Bisping/GSP fight? :-p
