Ok so sorry for the dramatic title, but there has to be at least one other soul on here who can identify with me. But the truth is I hate dogs. I cannot stand them. I find them annoying, dirty, smelly and I am sick of having to walk through a mine field of dog crap when I go for a run through the park! I also hate dog owners that compare their dog to a child. You can love your dog I understand that, but a dog is in no way the same as a baby. Ugh it just drives me insane I really cannot be the only one who cannot stand dogs can I? My breaking point was my neighbour. We would make small talk, but when ever he asked me something about my kid it was always followed up with a comparison to his dog! The worst was when he said that his dog was excited for Christmas..... how the hell can a dog be excited for Christmas? Also you could say "I do not like kids" and that is socially fine, no one bats an eyelid. But if you say you do not like dogs, you are looked at like you are some kind of monster! EDIT Just wanted to say I get that people can love their dogs and that is cool, but I just cannot stand them or when people compare them to kids that was the point of my rant. I did not mean to disrespect any dog owners on here..... just me ranting lol  |

Wet dog hair can be an issue at times, but the love you can get from a dog is like no other!
A dog will always be there for you, is happy to see you, will follow you, and just want to be around you.
To say you aren't a fan of dogs must mean you are an alien, the devil, or a reincarnation of Hitler himself.

I mostly agree with you about people who treat their dogs like kids. But on the other hand there are some women who can't have children so I can understand them filling a void that way.
I do not understand people who dress their dogs up though. "My princess loves wearing her pink outfit." Really? She told you that did she? A fun halloween costume on a dog is fair enough but they don't need their own year round wardrobe.

I have a dog. I hate him sometimes, he sheds all over and he smells. He ruins my house too and is generally hard to look after (German Shepard/border collie mix).
Still I am happy to have him more often then I'm not. I don't think I'll ever want to own a large dog again though.

I love dogs. I do not love dog owners. Most are okay, but the ones that thing they can waltz in to the grocery store with their dog can piss off. Dogs have an innocence about them that's just awesome. They spend their entire lives to make their owners happy and get some pettin'. It's great.

Nothing better than taking a hike in the country with mans best friend by your side, watching them run about chasing squirrels and enjoying life.
The dog fouling isnt the dogs fault, the owners should pick it up.
