Sounds like you have more of an issue with the owners than you do with the actual dog.......

i dont hate dogs (well maybe some dogs)......but i grew up always having a dog. On account of allergies....we were never allowed to have a cat growing up.
Eventually my dog died after like 15 years. Couple years later got a cat, and never turned back.
They don't smell
u don't have to walk them
they're not loud
they don't jump all over ur guests

I hope your neighbor is posting on a forum about dogs like "Ya'll get this, I know people like kids but kids suck. Especially my neighbor's kid. I hate when that bunghole brings tries comparing his brat to my little dog. Like my dog is looking forward to Christmas, I don't care what present his kid is getting. Anyone agree?"

I haven't had a dog for 13 years. I swore them off until I could own the kind I wanted. This time last year the wife and I adopted a pretty emotionally damaged 1 year old English bulldog. .... other than the cats not liking her, I don't know how anyone couldn't love this face.  |

I love dogs but there are a lot of work. I had dogs growing up and my last one passed away when I was 15. If I ever get a dog for myself in the future I'm getting one that's already house broken.

I wouldn't say I hate them. But, they do smell. Until bathed.
They lick their own balls and arse, they go outside, even when wet and pee and crap, then go out and walk in it so it's no wonder. And they are animals, animals smell. No pets for me

Having a dog is a responsibility, just like a child it looks to you to teach it. Training a dog can be frustrating but very rewarding when you have a loyal companion. |

Ok so sorry for the dramatic title, but there has to be at least one other soul on here who can identify with me. But the truth is I hate dogs. I cannot stand them. I find them annoying, dirty, smelly and I am sick of having to walk through a mine field of dog crap when I go for a run through the park! I also hate dog owners that compare their dog to a child. You can love your dog I understand that, but a dog is in no way the same as a baby. Ugh it just drives me insane I really cannot be the only one who cannot stand dogs can I? My breaking point was my neighbour. We would make small talk, but when ever he asked me something about my kid it was always followed up with a comparison to his dog! The worst was when he said that his dog was excited for Christmas..... how the hell can a dog be excited for Christmas? Also you could say "I do not like kids" and that is socially fine, no one bats an eyelid. But if you say you do not like dogs, you are looked at like you are some kind of monster! EDIT Just wanted to say I get that people can love their dogs and that is cool, but I just cannot stand them or when people compare them to kids that was the point of my rant. I did not mean to disrespect any dog owners on here..... just me ranting lol  I agree with you on EVERY point you made. I also hate dogs. I dislike the way they smell. I dislike how they carry fleas/ticks/lice/parasites. I dislike their dander. I dislike how they slobber all the time. I think it's disgusting when people come in contact with a dog and dont immediately wash their hands afterward. I think its disgusting that people let their dogs lick them or share food with a dog. I think its disgusting the smell in the pet food isle of a grocery store, they should keep that stuff outside away from human food. I think its disgusting that people carry around bags with the sole purpose of picking up dog turds. I think its extremely disgusting that NO ONE ever cleans up their dogs urine. I hate when people let their dog roam free in public spaces with out a leash. Everyone assumes their dog doesnt bit until the day comes when it bites someone, dont fool yourselves folks a dog is an animal. And I hate when people treat a dog like a person. You arent a dad if you bought a dog. I cant stress enough how much I hate dogs. I know many of you here love dogs, good for you. Im just sharing my views, im not attacking anyone. We're all entitled to our opinions. All animals do, the make medicine and what not for pets for that reason. Do you was your hands every time you shake hands with a person? Either you have a really powerful sense of smell or your grocery store staff takes care of it poorly. Would you rather them leave it there and then you accidentally step in it? So what if people treat their pet like it's their child. Like what direct affect does it have on you? None. So why let it bother you so much? |
