Dogs > Babies
No doubt about it. After a long day of work you can come home to your furry little buddy and be welcomed home to an excited fur ball happy as hell to see you. Waiting to go home to a baby after work is like getting ready to do another 8 hour shift. Dogs are less work and mostly fun to have around. They're loveable, smart, and good company. Babies cry, shyt themselves, and can smell just as bad as a wet dog after doing so. lol.
I dunno, I love dogs. Very few things in this world I love more than 'em.

Sorry, my dog fell asleep halfway through your rant. I can't say my dogs eagerly anticipate Christmas, but I do enjoy giving them hilariously oversized rawhide bones as presents every year.

Ok so sorry for the dramatic title, but there has to be at least one other soul on here who can identify with me. But the truth is I hate dogs. I cannot stand them. I find them annoying, dirty, smelly and I am sick of having to walk through a mine field of dog crap when I go for a run through the park! I also hate dog owners that compare their dog to a child. You can love your dog I understand that, but a dog is in no way the same as a baby. Ugh it just drives me insane I really cannot be the only one who cannot stand dogs can I? My breaking point was my neighbour. We would make small talk, but when ever he asked me something about my kid it was always followed up with a comparison to his dog! The worst was when he said that his dog was excited for Christmas..... how the hell can a dog be excited for Christmas? Also you could say "I do not like kids" and that is socially fine, no one bats an eyelid. But if you say you do not like dogs, you are looked at like you are some kind of monster! EDIT Just wanted to say I get that people can love their dogs and that is cool, but I just cannot stand them or when people compare them to kids that was the point of my rant. I did not mean to disrespect any dog owners on here..... just me ranting lol I agree with you on EVERY point you made. I also hate dogs. I dislike the way they smell. I dislike how they carry fleas/ticks/lice/parasites. I dislike their dander. I dislike how they slobber all the time. I think it's disgusting when people come in contact with a dog and dont immediately wash their hands afterward. I think its disgusting that people let their dogs lick them or share food with a dog. I think its disgusting the smell in the pet food isle of a grocery store, they should keep that stuff outside away from human food. I think its disgusting that people carry around bags with the sole purpose of picking up dog turds. I think its extremely disgusting that NO ONE ever cleans up their dogs urine. I hate when people let their dog roam free in public spaces with out a leash. Everyone assumes their dog doesnt bit until the day comes when it bites someone, dont fool yourselves folks a dog is an animal. And I hate when people treat a dog like a person. You arent a dad if you bought a dog. I cant stress enough how much I hate dogs. I know many of you here love dogs, good for you. Im just sharing my views, im not attacking anyone. We're all entitled to our opinions.

I LOVE dogs. Have 3 myself. But, I hate when people bring them into my work as "service dogs" (I work at a grocery store). You will not believe how many piles of crapI've had to clean up.

There are certain aspects of dogs I dont like, but I love dogs, and ive never even had one. Like my best friends dog shows me more affection the few times I go over there than my cat does when i'm at home lol

You have obviously never raised a pup from birth. I've raised 3 generations and trust me when I say they are better than a baby.

I'm an animal lover but its understandable that some dog owners can sour you on dogs, the guy next door to me is a proper arsehole when it comes to controlling his large boxer dog, he lets it crap all up the street and sometimes allows it to run free around the street and it has been known to attack smaller dogs and their owners.
I think half of the problem is owners getting the wrong dog, like when they're puppies its all fun and games then after a few years youve got a massive dog that still behaves as if its a pup, jumping up at people etc.
As for the dog - kid comparison thing I'd rather have a Dog than a child, I've never caught anything off a dog but kids carry illnesses and the like like rats in 14th century London. And they dont answer you back.

I love animals I would rather be in their company over selfish, back stabbing humans that treat you like dirt.
Did you ever hear the old saying. Don't trust someone that doesn't like Dogs?

But when I take her out for a walk I always get dirty looks from small dog owners who believe she's a vicious because she looks like a wolf and yet their dogs are the ones that are barking and showing their teeth at her. I'm involved in many animal rescue charities and the pounds in my area are completely overflowing with unwanted dogs and it breaks my heart.

When I worked at a dog kennel I came across every breed and the one dog that bit me was a freaking chuwawa. I was putting food in its pen, and that little chit charged at my hand.

Pretty much always had dogs (and cats) during my 40 years, and the only "aggressive" issues I've had have been with the smaller dogs we've owned. No trouble from the APBTs, German Shepherds and Rottie/GSD mixes, just the Scottie, Pomeranians, and poodle mixes. Same thing with pretty much all my family. My neighbor across the street, though, his big male Rottie is kinda nuts.
