I dont care to see Shane in the ring, is this a case of Shane'O Mac feedin his ego by making himself part of the SS team? I cringed real bad when he came out at WM with his kids strutting about with him on stage, no one wanted to see them no harm to them but he needs to seperate himself from the ring action. His match at WM sucked btw. When you have a roster packed full of talent like WWE at the moment someone else could have easily taken his spot for SS. Times are changing and the fans have little respect for guys that cant wrestle anymore. Anyway thats my little rant over, im a fan of Shane McMahon but I really dont want to see him wrestling.

I think it's pretty likely Taker ends up taking his spot.

Billy Gunn fan... Doesn't like seeing Shane McMahon wrestle... Hmmm. There's something up with that.
Let's look at SmackDown right now, besides Cena - who would you put in that place? Personally I'd pick the UnderTaker. I mean seriously, c'mon.

I would've preferred Luke Harper or keeping Baron Corbin (unless they took him out for a legit injury?).

In the storyline, Daniel Bryan made him part of the team. In real life, he isn't running the show at all. He's a paid performer and because he was a big draw at Mania, they're paying him to wrestle at Survivor Series.

It's not a case of "feeding his ego." This is a guy who only came back to the WWE because Vince had zero star power left for Wrestlemania and Shane wanted his kids to have a chance to see him do one more run with the company since they weren't born yet when he put used to wrestle. Shane has zero creative control as far as I know. Vince most likely asked him to wrestle because, again, he doesn't have enough stars to draw one of his supposed biggest PPVs of the year. Shane was the most logical choice looking at SmackDown's roster. For everybody saying why not make the last member The Undertaker; for one, we don't even know if Taker wants to/is cleared to wrestle currently. He was using crutches a few weeks/months ago, so he clearly had some sort of procedure done on his leg or hip. Secondly, unless the plan is to have Taker be the sole survivor, it would be a waste to use one of his select few final matches on a Survivor Series tag match that he's not booked to go over in.

Why not? He's the not the best wrestler but has always entertained me in the ring. Also Corbin got hurt so Shane was a good replacement.
It's better than someone like Crews who doesn't draw a dime.

Not my first (or second) choice either. But it could be worse I suppose.
Before anyone asks... Harper, Kane, Miz, Crews would all have worked fine IMO. Someone like Crews, Corbin, or Harper could have benefited from a strong performance in the match. Hell, Corbin would have benefited from just walking out on his team.

Youtube is full of videos of dads doing stupid things to impress their children. Sadly I see Shane botching a spot and getting hurt like Balor ending up in the playlist rotation if he keeps getting in the ring.

He also posted his arm out and destroyed his shoulder. Shane could do the same silly thing, take a simple but hard hitting bump and make a mistake hurting himself. Ringshape is different than being in shape and Shane is far from being in ringshape.

If you want something done right, sometimes you gotta do it yourself. Shane is by far better than Corbin anyways.
