I don't think anyone needs to be released. What WWE needs to do is make Main Event and Superstars their own brands too. Guys like Swagger, D. Young, Bo Dallas, The Colon's and such can appear on those shows. It would give them TV time each week and they would have meaningful spots and matches since that's their brand. I would have these guys on the WWE Superstars roster The Miz Xavier Woods Kofi Kingston Big E Luke Gallows Karl Anderson Big Cass Sami Zayn Heath Slater Darren Young Titus O Neill Mark Henry R-Truth Apollo Crews Natalya Nikki Bella Naomi The WWE still makes some, but not a lot, of money with them so they shouldnt be released outright. The Intercontinental or US Championship should be moved to this brand and be renamed the WWE Network Championship, where the title is defended in a match that can only be seen on the WWE Network The Miz ? Feud with me.

I don't want anyone to get fired, and there needs to be jobbers, so I'm not going to name everyone that isn't a star or is low on the card
but
Mojo Rawley is a waste of roster space. Zack Ryder has also had his time, but Mojo is just annoying. The Hype Bros are the worst tag team on the roster, and that includes the Shining Stars...speaking of whom
The Colons are nothing without Carlito. Carlito has a ton of charisma, Primo and Epico have none. I'd rather have charisma over ability. The Shining Stars can go, but I couldn't care less. This is failed tag gimmick 3. The first time they were outshined by Rosa, the second it was Torito. Now it's their brochures.
Apollo Crews is awful. He's athletic, maybe he's a good wrestler, but I don't care. He's like the bizarro Titus O'Neil. All athletics no charisma. The roster only needs one Titus, and you see how great he's doing. Still I'd rather see Titus be funny and then get beat than see Apollo Crews do anything at all. I said it before, Apollo Crews SUCKS.
Curt Hawkins. Why did they even bring him back? He isn't even on the show? I gave him another chance, I still don't see it.
Kallisto. If he isn't in the cruiser division, why is he here? He's literally the least interesting masked wrestler ever.
Jack Swagger. I like him, I do, but he should have a chance somewhere else. I don't even know what show he's on. Has he even wrestled since the draft? He should've gotten the Backlund gimmick.
Tamina. I'm sorry, but there's already a Nia Jax. Tamina has the better body, but Nia has a hot face and some potential. Tamina has been around for like 10 years and done jack squat besides been somebody's bodyguard.
Summer Rae. Where is she? What show is she on? Has she wrestled in the last 6 months?
Rosa. Probably the most useless person on the list. She's basically collecting a paycheck for sitting at home and raising a child.
Darren Young. Boring. He actually would've been better off being the stereotypical gay wrestler instead of bland-as-ever Darren Young. How do you make someone who was never even decent before, great 'again'?
Bo Dallas. Appear in Rumble '12, eliminate Barrett, beat Barrett on Raw, disappear back to NXT, pushed to BO-Lieve for like a month and a half, job job job, disappear, come back fat, job for a year, disappear, come back with creepy Santino singlet with the Social Outcasts, Adam Rose gets fired so the entire angle is derailed, disappear, circle of life, pushed for like 2 weeks, job week 3, appear in weird vignette backstage with Jinder Mahal and others, suddenly a face in a tag team with Darren Young in a match where all 4 competitors get killed by Braun Strowman, and everyone rejoices that they didn't have to sit through a garbage match. Yeah, that entire match needs to be fired. Fire the ref too, that match was that terrible.
TJ Perkins. Terrible choice for CW tournament winner. Awesome music, silly glasses, no personality. Once his entrance is over, I'm done watching. Kendrick should have won and still be dominant champion
Rich Swann. The homeless champion. Terrible look, awful 1980's thrift store dumpster jacket, bad talker, weird dancing, boring wrestler.
Curtis Axe.....oh wait, I forgot, we need jobbers. I like Axel, so he can keep getting paid.

I don't think any of them need to be released , well except Rosa, she is worthless.
I love the idea of Superstars returning on the Network with a TV title or Network Championship. You could put all those low card guys on there. Let them work with call ups from NXT, the low card guys get tv time and get to work on their gimmicks ect, maybe something takes off that gets them back up to RAW or Smackdown and it gives guys like Bo Dallas and Apollo Crews to develop more while working with the main roster.
Bo Dallas was amazing in NXT with his character, but he was never given the time to work it on RAW. Apollo should be feuding with Joe , Nakumara and Roode and Aries in NXT still developing a character.

I'm thinking these people:
Konnor: I expect The Ascension to break up after WrestleMania 33. I expect Viktor to be repackaged as a result. Summer Rae, Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes: These girls' days seem to be numbered now that the focus in the women's division has shifted from models to serious talents. Fandango Jack Swagger Tyler Breeze Darren Young Sin Cara A few NXT talents

'I can simply not decide...' ...especially when the title specifically says need to be released...how do you play it? Especially when this seems to be a yearly (of not quarterly) thread topic... Either list the jobbers and 'stars' who have no worth to you as a fan, or the other side, and bemoan the fact 'people will lose their jobs'... I can only suggest one: Kevin Dunn. This isn't a 'Bucky Beaver-Jim Cornette' bashing of the guy, but the amount of stroke he has to shut down certain stars' careers (some before they can even begin) is woefully detrimental to anyone who manages to even get their foot in the door at WWE...the constant focusing on stuff that isn't remotely related to wrestling just so that WWE can seem as mainstream as Entertainment Tonight is beyond cringeworthy for me... ...but no...by all means, he can whisper into Vince's ear about how he feels about a certain talent and before long they've lost all steam and momentum, purely because this guy has insecurities... Christ. At least we can all agree that Rosa Mendes is literally the biggest waste of space in WWE right now...and has been for years...

-- If Hunter's true to his word, about NXT someday becoming a 3rd equivalent brand, it should start with "call downs" (moving the unused, over to NXT).
Jack Swagger - his first match on SDL sealed his fate and put emphasis on Baron than it did him. And since, he's right back to where he was when he was apart of RAW. He might actually shine in NXT, and if he sinks.... then he sinks out of the company.
R-Truth - Now is the time for the E to let Dustin Rhodes just be himself to finish up his in-ring career. Sort of like a "farewell tour" and he can dedicate it to Dusty. But this can only happen if R-Truth is out of the picture. Ron is an entertaining guy, but his best stuff was when he was heel. I believe he's got one more solid run left in him. But it wouldn't shine that bright on SDL or RAW.
Alicia Fox - granted she's involved in a current storyline to help elevate Cedric, but once this fizzles out, a move to NXT could rejuvenate her value (as well as giving some experience help to the Women in NXT).
-- As for actual releases:
Rosa Mendez - why she's still on the roster, when she hasn't done anything in a very long, long time - is beyond me. If 'Black Friday Firings' becomes an annual thing for the company, her name outta be placed in the next batch that goes.
James Ellsworth - the novelty's worn off. It's like the Tough Enough entrant from the very 1st season, who's gimmick was "Vince's illegitimate son"; it can only go so far and James has peaked.
Darren Young - he's good in the ring and they could've continued pushing him and I would've been all for that. But the moment they stopped featuring him on RAW, it instantly killed his momentum. With the E trying to push Titus solo, Darren's been given enough chances to succeed. The only way I could see them keeping him around, is if they pair the 2 up again and I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Eva Marie - a table can only stand with 3 legs; Eva had 3 things going for her: her looks, the nuclear heat she drew, and the 'all red everything' gimmick, were ingredients of making her a great heel. Now that she's dropped the whole 'red' gimmick, her table doesn't hold up. If she actually knew how to work well between the ropes, I wouldn't mind seeing her repackaged, but at this point, there's not a lot more purpose she could serve (other than doing a backstage interviewing gig; Maryse & Lana are already doing the heel valet thing).
Tom Phillips - Mauro and JBL can carry SDL, just as a tandem. They added Otunga, I wasn't for it, but fine, the 3 man crew started growing on me. Then they added Tom. And last week, it finally happened like I knew it would: they started stepping over eachother's commentary. Either put him back as a backstage guy, or just let him go. The 4-man experiment is a fail.
Tamina Snuka - Probably won't happen unless she asks for her release. But unless she's injured and still recovering, I don't understand why they're holding out on letting her go. Perfect set-up would be a feud with Nia, and just have Nia destroy her (ie, the way Dudleys were taken out).
Shining Stars & Sin Cara (Hunico) - It would definitely kill the chances of seeing Carlito return, but it would be better for all accounts at the end of the day.

^ I like Tom Phillip's commentary with Corey Graves on NXT so I definitely wouldn't release him. The issue is more that there are FOUR people trying to call one match and one of them is David Otunga.
I think Shining Stars, The Ascension and David Otunga are dull beyond the point of repairing and really don't need to see them on TV at any point. I'd like to see a few of the guys many have mentioned to possibly be repackaged or used in a different way and just simply wrestle decent matches where they tend to lose.

I'm going to go with someone no one has said yet. Michael Cole. He's been around since 1997. How is he still so awful as a commentator? He is the most outwardly obnoxious commentator I've ever heard and actively ruins WWE products. And yet, he's still constantly around. Commentators need refreshed and on their roster they have so many better play by play commentators, guys who actually call play by play wrestling rather than laughing at what's going on and burying the talent. The angle with Bryan killed his momentum dead for years, but the angle truthfully just shined a light on what Cole does, did, and continues to do; bury talent. I don't know if there's someone in his ear or if he's just doing it, but no one will ever get over because of him. Ever. The play by play commentator's role is to call the action, explain why things hurt, explain what's going on to the uninitiated and do so in a way that doesn't insult the intelligence of the initiated. Michael Cole does none of these. You want to talk about social media, fine, find down times in the matches to do so. That's what down times are for, to talk about other relevant things. Not just power talking over the matches, then during down times laughing about nothing like an idiot. Michael Cole needs to go He's overstayed his welcome

Darren Young is borderline useless. They could've put anyone in his spot with Backlund and it would've gotten over.
*edit* Just gotta add David Otunga. Percy Watson is already better than him and he's only been doing it for a month or so. Whoever made the call to put Otunga on the announce team and completely take Lawler off of tv is a master troll. Sure Lawler is a shell of his former self, but he was getting back into it over the last year.

Definitely Titus and Bo.
Maybe they can be successful elsewhere.

The Miz is the only person I ever want to actually be released. Keep Maryse though I was thinking about this the other day.. I'm in no way a fan of his work or anything really that he does but I've come to accept that this dude is an absolute workhorse in the business.. He has consistently worked his butt off for the last 7 years and he does deserve the spot he's in right now. For that I respect him. But I really can't stand his style of wrestling, he is 100% a product of WWE's system and it shows in his matches.. They are slow, uneventful, repetitive and boring.
