Jakks made some absolutely atrocious figures, and even their best ones look ridiculous when compared to Mattel's. Also, for those complaining that Jakks is an old company, Toy Biz was making far better figures at the time for the same price/sometimes cheaper than Jakks

Hall looks like Steven Ogg. Very obscure reference I can't help but see him whenever I look at that scan D:

A MattelDesignTeam version of the jakks CS outsiders with the same color in ring gear and everything would be amazing.

Mattel=young Kevin Nash Jakks=Barry Gibb from the Bee Gees Those aren't even the same look tho. Attire yes but they we're going for different eras. HOF5 is Michaels' bodyguard and CS11 is Big Daddy Cool. I own that CS Diesel but I never found E16. But I like the Mattel scan better

I only own 4 Jakks figures, an autographed Bret Hart, autographed Chyna, Owen Hart, and a Blue Blazer. Three of those I can't buy from Mattel.

BCA figs were the best EVER to play with!
Jakks CS had some kick ass figs and GREAT head scans. wish someone could do a thread with every legend comparison side by side. you would see the detail in Mattel is awesome, but the some figs look a bit skinnyish. ex: Bundys head went on diet without him. some (like Paul Bearer) have those arms of a 29 yr old fitness girl with the kinda muscular/toned arms/shoulders (a turn off for me with women and the figs). and you'd see sometimes the bulky cartoonish Jakks was right for the fig. I f'n LOVE BOTH!

They're $20 figures (retail). How much detail do you expect? The same as hot toys, sideshow, or enterbay?
Enjoy the figures for what they are. If you want every minute detail on a figure, go have a custom comissioned by someone with a 3d printer.

Mattel=young Kevin Nash Jakks=Barry Gibb from the Bee Gees Only that's not the head I was referring too. I said the hesad in oP's post. Not this random Diesel figure.

Obviously Mattel > Jakks but I was a huge jakks fan. Especially the CS line.

They must have done something right since they stopped making wwe figures almost 8 years ago and still get threads on mattel boards about their stuff...
I was in uni when they lost the line, and im now a father. Some people dont seem to get the perception of time going by...

Youre on a board where members want the most obscure jobbers of all time made. People will clamor on about anything that held their attention for at least a minute.

PS: Flash news: Figuarts > Mattel ...and cost about 3 times as much... So do elites compared to RA days. Its so silly to compare... Just like figuarts are an adult line and should not be compared to Mattel, a line that showed up in 2000 or so should not be compared with Mattel.

My favorite figures of all time are the BCA's. Boy they were so special when I was a kid and felt very collectible. Once the TTL's were introduced WWE figures lost their magic and they just looked so boring and most shared the same bodies.
I just felt that from 1999/2009 WWE figures were lame ass action figures that I only collected because it was a hobby.

Hall looks like Steven Ogg. Very obscure reference Not really, he has branched out from being just Trevor from GTA. He was a key character in the most resent Walking Dead episodes as well as a prominent character on Westworld. Two of the years biggest shows. Like I said with Walten Goggins, 2 more years and the dude will be a household name.

This thread needs a pic of Naked Mark Henry. WWE should have booked him in a Triple Threat Diaper Match with him, Big Show and Akebono.

I just felt that from 1999/2009 WWE figures were lame ass action figures that I only collected because it was a hobby. Same here, except I stopped buying wrestling figures completely (and shortly after stopped watching wrestling altogether) when the switch to TTL happened and just started buying figures again this summer when I ran into a couple Flashbacks while shopping. I don't know that I ever looked at BCA's as collectible, but as a kid they were perfect to play with. To me, the hard plastic era Jakks figures just aren't that visually appealing. But I also wasn't buying figures during that period.
