ROH, PWG, NJPW... anyone that would have him within reason. The guy loves wrestling.
Wherever he goes, he's going to get a hero's welcome. I can't wait to see his return.
You and me both. I'm sure he's still able to wrestle safely. Just not on the level he used to... and he's gonna show it.

It's still possible to get hurt again working a different style. That won't help that much.
There's absolutely no reason to come back. He's had one of the best careers and will go down as one of the greats.

He's the next Dynamite Kid probably. I hate to say it but I've felt the comparisons between Bryan and Dynamite/Benoit the past few years might be very accurate down the line. That being said he deserves at least one more match. But I fear that he will go full time once again. And I can't see that ending very well. Especially if he goes to New Japan, ROH, PWG, etc. I genuinely hope not. I don't want to see him become our generations tragedy.

On an episode of Total Divas or Bella's, I don't remember which, he showed his new style, which actually looked very interesting. It would protect him, and still be entertaining. I'd love to see him do it. Plus, the article says he wants to wrestle in CMLL.

On one hand, it would be smart not to... On the other, I really want to see it...
The reality is, Bryan isn't going to die the second he takes another bump. Really, his brain probably isn't in a far worse condition than the rest of the wrestlers in the world that have been wrestling for a good period of time - he's just the one who's had the invasive testing done, and the spotlight shined upon him. If they did the same testing to, say, Ziggler, it probably wouldn't look too pretty for him, either. But still, you never know which concussion is going to be the one that you don't recover from, or worse... makes you become a national news story.
If he were to return down the road to another promotion, I won't lie, I'm going to be excited for it - but I'll also be biting my nails every time he steps into the ring.

I saw that too. I think he was incorporating animal movements. It was pretty interesting.

Bryan can change his style on he wants. That doesn't mean everyone else on the planet will. Lets say he goes to New Japan, everyone knows they work considerably stiffer. Same with Mexico. Unless he plans on only being on offense, there's no way his new style can guarantee his safety.
It could only take one kick to his head. Or one hard slam. Or a mistimed leap from the top by his opponent. One hard bump. It could all be over for him instantly.

It only takes one bad bump to end anyone's career. If Bryan gets the best tests available and is cleared to go, then I wish him all the best. Only Bryan match I have a desire to see is Bryan vs Miz, because their current storyline calls for a match. Other than that, I'd be fine with him staying retired.

If a healthy wrestler is in danger every night, then a man who's had the same issues as Bryan would only be more acceptable.

Perro Aguayo Jr died in the ring from a dropkick. Anybody could go at any time. Might as well live life doing what you love instead of sitting on the sidelines.

I don't know if I fully believe this, but we'll see. If every other doctor that he's gone to see is willing to clear him as he's said, though, then I have to believe he could handle a lighter workload back on the Indies or in Japan. The WWE's doctors, from what I understand, are the only physicians who won't clear him, which if true, tells you all you need to know about what's going on. Bryan was obviously forced into retirement by the company because of the concussion lawsuit they're facing and the lawsuit they started with Punk. The WWE's medical staff has an extremely shaky history at best, so I have a real hard time believing they're seeing something in Bryan's x-rays that no other physician he's gone to is able to see.

There is no such thing as a safe wrestling style. One wrong move could leave a wrestler seriously injured or even worse. HHH tore his quad by simply falling down and Seth's knee buckled while doing a powerbomb.
If someone has a bad neck injury like Daniel Bryan a simple irish whip to the turnbuckle would be enough to cause serious damage.

I was going to make a thread about this when I got off work, I'm surprised someone didn't bring this up sooner. Allegedly he's been working on a new style that will be better in his body.

If he's been cleared by a ton of doctors outside WWE, and surely they'd know about the seizures he had, then it's gotta be OK for him to go.
In NJPW I'd be most concerned only because of how well known his neck/shoulder issues are, especially if he faces Shibata at some point.
In CMLL, he and Dragon Lee better not replicate any Lee/Takahashi matches.
He could do well on the US indie scene. Throw a kick "YES!" Throw another kick "YES!" Get someone down in the Yes lock "YES! YES! YES!" It'd be just like the Young Bucks marks who pop everytime Nick blinks.

I'm a big D-Bry fan but he really shouldn't chance getting back in the ring again. It's a shame he couldn't have a longer run but the run he did have was still great nonetheless. I say put him in the HOF next year in NOLA (how fitting) and call it a day.

I get his passion is wrestling, and it kills him to not be able to do it, but now that he and Brie are having a kid, he's got to look at the bigger picture. If there really is a higher then usual health risk, is it really worth it? If he has been cleared by numerous doctors then that's for him to decide. We can't be upset with someone's decision especially since it's their life, not the fans'. Plus, lots of wrestlers have wives and kids. What's gettin everyone so riled up? He won't be the first or last wrestler to want to do what he loves when he has a family at home...

despite what seems to be the majority in this thread, i am all for daniel bryan returning to the ring if he feels healthy enough and wishes to do that.
leave his personal affairs - rather he's healthy to wrestle or not, or rather he's having children - to him.
