I've only ever met one professional wrestler, and he's not retired but certainly a legend. I went to a book signing of Chris Jericho's and thought he was very nice. He asked me what my favourite episode of his podcast was when I mentioned how much I listened to it, he shook my hand and said thanks for coming. It was a short interaction and I should have brought something else to get signed as others did but I'll always remember it. Was really cool. Awesome book too.
Enjoy!

I've met Ted DiBiase, Virgil, Sunny and Mick Foley and I've got tickets to Wales Comic Con next month where I'll hopefully meet Mick Foley again, Kevin Nash, Lita, So Cal Val and... Bobby Heenan!
Ted DiBiase is huge, when we shook hands, I felt like I had Donald Trump's tiny hands. I really don't know what to say to any wrestlers or famous people other than to tell them how great it is to meet them. I got a picture with him and Virgil. Virgil was just kind of wandering around trying to sell his autograph but it was good to meet him too, he was being funny teasing my sister who came with me. Sunny was lovely, I got a picture with her and she autographed my 1/3000 Bodydonnas figure. I was a little lost for words around her having had a crush on her since I was 6. This was back in 2009 when she was in a better way. Dawn Marie was at the same event but I didn't go over to meet her, which I kind of regret. Scott Hall was also there but he wasn't around when I actually went up to get pictures, I spotted him from a distance at the bar and by the time he went back to his table I had no money left having visited the wrestling figure stand... I really should have gone up just to shake his hand.
I think I met Mick Foley in 2010... he was signing copies of Countdown to Lockdown. The lines were huge and by the time me, my brother and sister got up there, we could hear the agent talking to him about how much time they had left and how long the lines was. We thought we might just get rushed through at that point but no, Mick took his time to talk to us, sign our books and we gave him a wrestling figure sized wrestling figure of CS Cactus Jack. He loved it and said he would take that home and that his kids would love to see it too. The 3 of us got a picture with him and I managed to get a look at his ear...
I'm really looking forward to meeting Bobby Heenan.
There is also an event coming up in June which I'm hoping to get tickets for, it's the WWF Night of Legends with Marty Jannetty, Bushwhacker Luke, Tugboat and Brutus Beefcake. There is a drinks reception, 3 course meal, meet and greet, talks and an auction.

I don't really ever go to any type of signings unless they are my all-time favorites. (Exception being certain sports/movie signings for my in-laws) but as far as wrestling personalities go I only went to meet Roddy Piper & Sting. I might meet Bret Hart in early April, but I am not sure yet.

It's a shame he passed away so young as he definitely would of been at one of these Icons of Wrestling here in Philly for sure.

I've met Roddy Piper three times and he was awesome each time!
As for the convention, is it the Icons of Wrestling one? If so I suggest meeting Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat if you haven't already. Flair to me was kind of quiet though. I expected him to be his happy self when I met him the two times I did. I've met Ricky Steamboat once and he was nice. I told him that I loved his wrestlemania 3 match and told him "I'm sure you've heard that a million times before" and he said "and I never get tired of hearing it".

Yup so now I have met Sting, Piper and Bret where I got things signed. But I also met and shook Snuka hand back when I met Piper, but didn't have anything for him to sign. And when I met Sting I did talk to Hacksaw and shook Animal's hand.

-- Ric Flair Tully Blanchard Bobby Fulton Kevin Sullivan Little Beaver (RIP) Fred Blassie (RIP) Fabulous Moolah (RIP) Bob Backlund Honky Tonk Man (wrestled on a show with him) Buck Zumhofe (wrestled him, it's on YT) Chyna (RIP) Faarooq & Bradshaw Referee Tim White Lenny Lane (wrestled on a show with him, not sure if he's still an in-ring guy or not) Konnan Pat Tanaka (toredown a ring for him & drove him around, he hooked me up Wendy's hah) Johnny G (not really a "legend", but he was a WCW guy back in the day, owner of the ring I tore down for Tanaka)
Legends who still wrestle: Dan Severn (trained by him) Triple H Scott Norton Shane Douglas
As for autographs, every once in a great while will I ask for an auto, I prefer a pic with a star over an auto (you can buy 8x10s with autos on them, but a pic with someone is a rare opportunity). Just be cordial, be cool, everything is fine there after.
EDIT: oh and D'lo Brown (last time I was in a ring, was for IMPACT and he was holding a Gutcheck seminar).

My local indy fed always has some sort of WWE alumni or obscure legends at their shows every month. Most of the time they aren't really legends I guess you can say that the Biggest name they had there was Booker T. Other than that they have the Washed up ones

Iv'e met Ron Simmons, Bob Orton Jr, Undertaker, and Kane
Funny story about Ron Simmons. I was at a WWE house show, this was during Ron's "DAMN" Gimmick, and I went to go get a popcorn while they were at break. So I'm in line getting my popcorn and I look over to the left of me and standing in line, in the middle of all the fans, was Ron Simmons buying a pretzel. He took the pretzel and walked back down the arena stairs.

Met Piper three times and he was the greatest person you could ever hope to meet. I was in line back when he was with the XWF, the one Hogan owned, and he took a call on his cell phone and then it was my turn and he told me that he just became a grandfather. He gave me a huge hug. What a class act he was. I miss him.
I've met Bobby Heenan and he told me to call him "Brain". Great guy.
King Kong Bundy twice. Just a great dude.
Capt. Lou Albano. Told me what kind of prick Dynamite Kid was.
Brutus Beefcake. He was nice.
The Iron Sheik. He was great. Making jokes and yelling all over the place.
Billy Jerk Haynes. He was cool.
Mr. Perfect. This was when he just started with being Flairs "advisor". I told him how great it must be to get advice from a world champion, he went "yea, Ric is great". I told him no, I mean you. You were AWA world champion after all. And I smiled. The look of appreciation on his face was..well...perfect! He had such a huge smile on his face.
Scott Hall. Cool dude,
Butcher Vachon. He was in the ring after one of my matches. Very nice man.
Sunny and Candido. They were very cool.
Jimmy Hart. He worked a show with me and we talked about Andy Kaufman. It was awesome it talk to someone who knew Andy well. We also talked about Adrian Adonis and how much he was underrated.
Virgil. He was delusional. Followed me and my friend around saying how he taught Chris Benoit how to wrestle and how popular he is in Japan. We couldn't shake him!!
Raven. He was hilarious.
plus there are many more. lol

When I go to events like Axxess and WrestleCon, it's usually to meet the legends. I've met The Undertaker (old school), Hogan (very humble), Foley (nice and chatty), Sting (quiet), Mean Gene (chatty), Lita (jaw dropping beautiful), Jake the Snake (fun), Iron Sheik, Jim Ross (old school, he actually sung to me), Kurt Angle (quiet) and Jericho (he told him he was the greatest entertainer of all time, he signed my poster GOAT 😂). Recently during Mania33 week, I met: Hogan, Booker T, Road Warrior Animal, Hall and Edge and Christian. I usually get this signed, which always gets a pop from the wrestlers themselves. Hogan said it was the coolest thing he'd ever signed. Here are some videos of my experiences

Severn, Al Snow, Ron Simmons, Rhyno, Hogan, Slaughter, King, JR, Hall, Nash, XPac, Punk, Austin, Shiek, RVD, Angle, Hardys, Flair, Mean Gene, Rikishi, Animal, Undertaker, Sting, Bray, Bret, Backlund, Genius, Vader, Sabu, Bryan. Worst: Snow I met when I was a kid. I didn't care about a picture or a signature, so I asked him to write "HELP ME" backwards on my head. He muttered "Great, another ing one." I was ten. that dude. Best:Either Ron Simmons or Severn. Both just the nicest guys. Al has been my only bad experience so far.

My son (5 at the time) my wife and I went to a TNA show 6 or 7 years ago. The lights went out Stings music hits and some bunghole almost knocks my wife and son over down the stairs. He was crouched down and came to me and I pushed that bastard and told him to chill out. It knocked him off balance and he almost went flying down the stairs. The lights come on and It was Sting. He points his bat and the lights go back out and he comes running back by crouching again. He says "I'm really sorry about that" as he runs by again.
