Iconsfest is an AWESOME show! Ill be there saturday as well. I've been doing conventions in general for quite a few years but only been back into wrestling since last july and doing wrestling conventions since then. As far as wrestlers go Ive met Ric Flair, Ryback, Harlem Heat, Demolition, Sting, Nasty Boys, Raven, Matt Hardy, Bret Hart, Dolph Ziggler, Finn Balor twice, Becky Lynch, Cody Rhodes, Young Bucks, Adam Cole, Shinsuke Nakumura & Enzo & Cass. All were great and very kind. Stevie Ray was the only odd one. My son had a John Cena shirt on and he felt the need to explain to my son that his hand was so huge he can knock Cena out. to me it was a little odd but whatever he was still very nice as was Booker. I plan on meeting quite a few at Iconsfest this year The Hardys, Hall, Nash, Rey Mysterio, X-Pac, Bubba Ray & Pentagon Jr. are on my list to hit at this show. If you're close to the Philly area in June theres a Legends of the Ring convention in Monroe, NJ (about 1 hour away from me here in South Jersey) Edge and Christian are the headliners and theres quite a few really cool guests that will be there.

I need to to hear this story for sure! My son (5 at the time) my wife and I went to a TNA show 6 or 7 years ago. The lights went out Stings music hits and some bunghole almost knocks my wife and son over down the stairs. He was crouched down and came to me and I pushed that bastard and told him to chill out. It knocked him off balance and he almost went flying down the stairs. The lights come on and It was Sting. He points his bat and the lights go back out and he comes running back by crouching again. He says "I'm really sorry about that" as he runs by again. This has to be one of my favourite stories I've ever heard. Glad your Wife and Son weren't hurt though - that could've been nasty.

And why is he running in the dark crouched down." I have another that is one of my favorites. The time Owen Hart ribbed me. Owen was a hilarious person. I saw him, Mick Foley, and Paul Bearer at a WWF event in 1998 in Seattle just standing next to me. No body else even noticed them. I walked up and asked Owen to sign my program. He told me "I'm not who you think I am". I said yes you are Owen Hart. Owen shook his head, Bearer and Foley were cracking up. So he said "no, I am not. That guy sucks" I told him he was, once again Owen said "no". He then said "don't yoi know the worlds most dangerous man when you see him?" At this point Mic and Bearer are laughing so hard. (In my 17 year old brain, I was confused what was happening) so he took my program and signed it "Owen Ha" he then crossed that out and signed "the worlds most dangerous man Ken Shamrock" we all started laughing and as I walked away I said "thank you Owen." He responded "you're welcome. Wait..I'm Shamrock damnit." I still have the picture of Owe.... Ken Shamrock and Mic Foley with a beer (and Fanny packs) with Paul Bearer.

That is an awesome experience Patrick! In the DVD on Owen by WWE the wrestlers tell a lot of great stories about Owen. He would actually befriend fans and their families and would have them drive him to shows or he would stay at their houses.

I've met alot of legends over the years and i usually have them sign an 8x10 or a magazine cover. Some of the people i met are;
Roddy Piper (Super nice guy, probably the best interaction i had with a wrestler) DDP (awesome to meet) Christian (extremely nice, was genuinely interested in talking to people) Ric Flair (was nice) Sting (quiet but polite) Victoria (super chatty) Lita (nice but quiet) Hulk Hogan (awesome guy)

I've shared locker rooms with so many over the years. I'd have to write a book. But by far my favorite meeting of all time was hanging with Roddy Piper for a whole weekend. I'll never forget it and was one of the top moments of my life. I actually smoked some Mary Jane with Roddy at his request. 10 years ago next month. Wish I could go back in time and relive that awesome weekend.
