RAW is WAR August 17th, 1998 Hosts: Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler
RAW opens with "Highway to Hell" playing and a hearse making it to the arena. The Undertaker breaks out a giant casket for Mabel (it's engraved) and "burns it". Taker chants something strange and JR has no idea what is going on and Lawler says the Undertaker isn't looking to bury Mabel, but end his life. Mabel (w/The Rock) def. Earthquake via pinfall. The Undertaker makes his way out with "zombie" Paul Bearer as the Rock runs off through the crowd in fear. Mabel looks frightened and tries to attack the Undertaker, but Taker hits the ropes for a flying clothesline for Mabel to roll to the outside. Mabel starts to crawl and starts to leave as Taker brings the whole arena lights down and in a loud voice plays throughout the arena "You're soul is mine"... Mabel looks back and runs off. After a commercial break, the Rock laughs as he talks trash about screwing with Taker by using Mabel. Suddenly Mankind jumps the Rock! He gets in the mandible claw as the Rock struggles with WWF Officials stopping them. Ken Shamrock def. Steve Blackman & Dan Severn in a Triple Threat Match after Blackman gets on an armbar on Dan, and Shamrock has the ankle lock at the same time, but since Shamrock started it first, Shamrock gets the win. In a post-match promo, Shamrock says he'll be ready for Kane at SummerSlam as he believes he knows how to take him down. "Mr. Countout" D-Lo Brown (c) def. Scott Taylor via Countout to retain the WWF European Champion. JR says it's a joke that D-Lo could be proud of countouts. Lawler says that its the best way to retain any title. Gangrel def. Brian Christopher via pinfall and "bites" him after the match to "drink" his blood. The Godfather & Mark Henry (w/Faarooq) def. LOD 2000 via pinfall to become the No. 1 Contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championships
Triple H (w/Chyna) def. Marc Mero (c) (w/No MaaM) via pinfall in a Non-title match. Sable is in the back with Luna and Marlena who is now named "Terri Runnels", asks if she could join their "Feminist" group. Sable agrees and says that they're opening up a challenge to No MaaM for a match at SummerSlam. They confront Mero who just lost his match and demand a match. Mero laughs at the idea and agrees that they can bring whoever they want because No MaaM will prove once again that women can't do squat especially when their together. Vince McMahon is out with his Stooges to recieve the "Humanitarian of the Year" award. He gets a lot of heat till Austin makes his way out to a massive pop. Vince is pissed and demands that Austin better not do anything. Austin says he is the face of the WWF and should be here. Vince is surprised by hearing this and allows him to stay. Vince gets the award and Austin thereafter STEALS Vince's wallet and throws away some of his platinum credit cards. Austin: Look at all this money, why do you carry $1200 in your pocket you know someone can steal it off ya, well I think this is a great cause and giving this award to this piece of trash is worth $1200 so here take it (gives it away) Vince: That's my money dammit...I mean...I'm happy to donate this...dammit! Austin steals the framed (glass-encased) award. Vince gets furious demanding it back till Austin "accidentally" drops it and it breaks. Austin: Ooo I'm so sorry for that Vince, I mean it was a nice award... Austin kicks Vince in the gut and knocks down the stooges! Dr. Death runs out to attack Austin, Austin grabs what's left of the award and smashes it over Dr. Death! Triple H is in the back watching and he says "let these two waste each other" to Chyna. Austin lands a Stone Cold Stunner on Dr. Death as RAW goes off air!

RAW is WAR August 24th, 1998 Hosts: Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler
The Hell in a Cell cage is hanging above the ring and even JR and Lawler have no idea why. Mr. McMahon makes his way out with his stooges. Vince: You're all wondering why this abomination from hell is hovering over this ring, well let me tell you why. What was supposed to be my proudest moment recieving the Humanitarian of the Year award, dammit Stone Cold Steve Austin not only cost me $1200, but destroyed my award. So Austin tonight on RAW, you'll be facing Kane in a Non-title match in a Hell in a Cell match dammit! (JR shouts "bah-god-almighty!) Austin you're days are numbered, the WWF Championship belt will soon be out of your hands and after tonight you just won't handle not one, but two matches at SummerSlam this Sunday! _____________________________________________________________ After a commercial break, Mankind is being interviewed in the back as a new stipulation has been created for his match as it will now be a Hardcore match. The winner will become the FIRST EVER WWF Hardcore Champion (originally introduced in Oct 98, but brought in early in this diary). Mankind says he won't disappoint his fans across the world as he will topple the so-called "Peoples Champion" the Rock this Sunday at SummerSlam. Val Venis def. Marc Mero (c) (w/No MaaM) via pinfall to become the NEW WWF Light Heavyweight Champion. In a pre-match promo, Venis wants revenge on Kai En Tai for losing his "pee pee" (as it had to be sewed back) and issued out a challenge to Taka this Sunday. Marc Mero had the early advantage as Venis was selling his "groin injury" well. However late in the match, a woman by the name of "Debra" makes her WWF Debut as a wealthy tycoon who is backing the Feminist movement in the WWF. Debra watches as she brings out Sable, Luna and Terri. The three march down the ring with a "group" of feminist protesters. Mero gets distracted by all of it for Venis to get the roll up win. After a commercial break, the feminist protesters start to use their protesting sticks to beat on members of the No MaaM with the exception of Jacqueline. Sable finally has Jacqueline in the ring and starts to beat down on her till WWF security/officials break it all up. Ken Shamrock def. Kurrgan via Submission. A big win for Shamrock who topples the giant and gets in the ankle lock to win. After a commercial break, Kane approaches Mr. McMahon. Vince: Look Kane I know what you really want. But dammit tonight I want you to hurt Stone Cold understand and I promise, I swear it to you Kane, you will have the Undertaker soon. But for now...well look at you you're the Intercontinental Champion and there are many contenders for that title. I make promises that I can keep so destroy Austin for me! (Kane nods) Kane: (voice box) When will you fix my voice and my face.... Vince: Beat Austin tonight and we'll talk. X-Pac (w/Chyna) def. Gangrel vai DQ. Gangrel bit X-Pac on the arm to drink from him making him bleed for the ref to call the DQ. The New Age Outlaws (c) def. Southern Justice via pinfallTriple H (w/Chyna) def. Jeff Jarrett via pinfall in a non-title match. Hunter gets on the mic. Triple H: Austin, what will it take to beat me? Because let's be honest, you have to take on Kane tonight, you have to take on Dr. Death on Sunday night and well Austin, the main event this Sunday at SummerSlam, you don't got a chance against me because after it's all set and done, you'll know why they call me "the Game" (first use). ________________________________________ Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) vs. Kane (c) in a Hell in a Cell non-title MatchChampion vs. Champion, though non-title, Kane makes his way out as the cell is readied. Austin makes his way out to a pop. Austin runs into the ring and starts beating up on Kane. The two go at it as Austin struggles to take down Kane. Moments later, on the outside Kane smashes Austin to the cage several times and cuts him open. Kane goes for the chokeslam on the outside and LANDS it! Austin is practically outcold as Kane drags his body into the middle of the ring and tries to go for the tombstone, but Austin lands a lowblow. Kane feels it a bit, as Austin goes for a small package to two. Kane is angry and chokes Austin, Austin fights back and kicks Kane for the stunner . Both men are down, but Kane sits up first. Austin is up till Kane kicks Austin and lands the tombstone for the pin and win!Winner: Kane via pinfall.A big win for Kane who beats Austin clean. JR shouts "bah-god-almighty what in the world will Austin do at SummerSlam!" Vince is in the back and gets excited. Austin is not invincible as Dr. Death nods saying he'll weaken Austin more and beat him so that Triple H can finish the job at SummerSlam. The cell is being lifted. Kane decides not to leave and grabs Austin for another tombstone and lands it! Kane wants to go for a THIRD tombstone, till Ken Shamrock runs out and a referee helps open the cage door. Shamrock attacks Kane saving Austin. Shamrock hits the ropes for a big take down on the big red machine. Shamrock smashes Kane into the cage as Austin rolls out and leaves the cage hurt with the WWF title with him. Shamrock continues the assault till Kane chokes him. Austin looks back and decides wth he runs back in and helps Shamrock as they both take down the big red giant and share beers to end RAW.

How many Hell in a Cell matches are we going to get in the span of this whole year like seriously? It not only gets repetitive but also it loses its significance and its meaning when this match type keeps getting booked...it should only be booked on special occasions but also the Cell should be used as a final resort to end rivalries once and for all especially personal rivalries

Mankind pins the Rock on the concrete to win. Winner: Mankind via pinfall to become the FIRST WWF Hardcore Champion___________________________________________________ MAIN EVENT: Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) vs. Triple H (w/Chyna) for the WWF ChampionshipTriple H makes his way out followed by Austin. They're face to face. JR says that Austin must be exhausted after the HIAC match on RAW and after beating Dr. Death earlier in the night. They grapple and Austin starts to brawl it out. Triple H first back, but is met with fists and kicks into the corner. Moments later the New Age Outlaws appear ringside beside Chyna. Triple H gets the advantage and throws Austin to the outside. It seems Vince and the Stooges have managed to get the WWF Championship off of Austin all be it it took all of DX pretty much to help Triple H become WWF Champion for the first time...this was not a clean win for HHH but in the span of like a few months Triple H became the new leader of DX overthrowing Michaels by turning on him and he was WWF European Champion and then won King of the Ring and now becomes the new WWF Champion all within a few months...it seems The Game is soaring to stardom in such a short period of time
I wonder if Austin will get his rematch?
Taker beating Mabel...now after that it seems Taker he has now managed to take Mabel under his wing turning him into one of his minions like he did Paul Bearer so I wonder if Taker will get Faarooq, Bradshaw and Dennis Knight/Mideon to join him in his Ministry of Darkness?
Mankind beating The Rock to become WWF Hardcore Champion...I wonder what is next for either man

RAW is WAR Saturday Edition September 5th, 1998 Hosts: Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler
This was a taped show from Monday and was aired Saturday due to the Tennis Tournament. RAW opens with Sgt. Slaughter who argues with Vince McMahon that he doesn't want to "do this". Vince says he knows how he hates the DX, but he has too. Slaughter refuses and Vince fires him as WWF Commissioner on the spot. Vince walks out with Brisco and Patterson to the ring with the WWF title encased and red carpeting for the ring. Vince: About a month ago, I defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin in this very ring and I couldn't have been more happier. And at SummerSlam, Stone Cold Steve Austin lost the WWF Championship and I was thrilled beyond belief. No one could've ever dreamed that Triple H could be the one to do the job heck some of us had our doubts, but dammit he walked out the new WWF Champion and defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin for the one two three! So what we are doing right now is presenting Triple H with the WWF Championship belt as an official ceremony. Say goodbye to the Stone Cold Era and let's welcome your WWF Champion, Triple H! Triple H (using the new "My Time" theme) and the whole DX walk out. He's in the ring and Vince hands over the WWF title belt to him and Hunter gets on the mic as Vince and the stooges step back. Triple H: You know as I hold unto Stone Cold Steve Austin's most precious thing in the world, as it hangs over my shoulder, let me tell you a story. Everyone knows that in the WWF I was part of the Kliq. I was seen as the guy who they just wanted around. Then the Kliq broke up because two guys decided to split. Then the infamous curtain call happens and guess who gets punished? Not these two guys and not even the boy toy, but I did. I was punished for that. Fast forward about a year ago, Shawn Michaels formed the D-Generation X and I knew it was the perfect opportunity to join him. You know why? Because the Kliq was a thing of the past, the Kliq was bullshit. They never saw potential in me and nor did Shawn Michaels. Michaels saw me as a guy he could just drag around and use whenever he wanted so at Wrestlemania I did the right thing. I found the perfect moment to stop the showstopper and I did just that and took over the DX. At the King of the Ring, I overcame the odds and won it all. I've been an Intercontinental and European Champion. I've done much here in the WWF and last night, I did what they all thought was impossible, I became the WWF Champion defeating the face of the World Wrestling Federation, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Vince and his Stooges are nodding in excitement. Triple H: So Stone Cold is probably sitting home at Texas wondering what went wrong. Just how could he lose the WWF Championship. I guess I'll need to explain it to your pea-sized brain of yours ha. There is a reason why I'm the Game. I knew Mr. McMahon would do anything to stop you. So I came up with the idea of a Hell in a Cell match to wear you down Austin so that Kane could beat you bloody and he did just that. And what did you have to do after? Face Dr. Death last night and how did that go for you? Sure you won, but I didn't care. All I cared about was getting you into the ring and beating you at whatever the cost, even if I had to go to hell to beat you I would've done it and I did right....(GLASS SHATTERS) Austin: (is in the ring and flips off the Stooges as the DX surround Triple H) I don't give a damn rats ass about your history son, the bottom line is your jackasses jumped me countless times last night, because you know you couldn't beat my ass if you were at your best. Vince: Now now this is enough... Austin: Shut up! (crowd cheers) I want a rematch I'm asking for it right now you sob give me my title shot right here tonight. Vince: (gets angry) There is no way in hell I'm going to give you a shot at the title... Austin: I think you forgot about a thing called a rematch clause and I know you don't want to go to court and all that litigation crap so give me my damn rematch... Vince: It's up to Triple H dammit... Triple H: Austin, what makes you think you could beat me. Austin: You know well that I can... Triple H: Fine, but it won't be tonight. Vince: That's right dammit, the rematch will happen on September 27th, at Breakdown: In Your House. Austin flips off Vince and STUNS Triple H infront of DX! DX try to jump Austin as Austin runs off laughing. _______________________________________________________ Vader def. Val Venis via pinfall

RAW is WAR September 14th, 1998 Hosts: Jim Ross and Jerry LawlerRAW opens with Vince McMahon in the ring with his stooges and Shane McMahon. Vince: We are less than two weeks away for Breakdown: In Your House and the WWF Championship will be on the line when your new WWF Champion Triple H, will take on that redneck sob Stone Cold Steve Austin. It got me thinking that this match isn't enough because Stone Cold is a rattlesnake, and you can't trust a snake. So I decided on a new stipulation. We know how Austin prevails in his matches, but he has never been in a match like this. At Breakdown In Your House, Stone Cold Steve Austin will have to beat Triple H in a Ladder Match. Austin: (is out to a pop and gets on the mic on the RAW platform) It's true that I've never been in a ladder match, but that won't stop me from opening up a can of whoop ass on Triple H and the whole D-Generation at Breatkdown. I will walk out the WWF Champion again when I climb that ladder and after I'm done I'm gonna find you backstage and whoop your ass! (Vince looks enraged as RAW goes to commercial) __________________________________________________ After a commercial break Vince tells Austin that although he may have a rematch clause he doesn't have to accept it right away and orders that Austin take on Ken Shamrock tonight to determine a No. 1 Contender. Austin is outraged that he has to put up his No. 1 contender spot for the title.
JR announces that the WWF Women's Championship has been reinstated and will be awarded to the winner of the match between Sable and Jacqueline at Breakdown. Faarooq def. Viscera (w/Paul) via Countout. Before the match, Faarooq asks for a rematch because Chyna interfered giving Triple H the win last week. Faarooq manages to clothesline Viscera hard enough for him to fall to the outside. After the match Viscera strangely points at Faarooq as Paul Bearer raises the urn high. Faarooq has a frown and talks trash as the lights flicker on and off. Faarooq has no idea what's going on till the Undertaker appears behind Faarooq and lands the chokeslam! Taker leaves as Faarooq lays still in the ring. No MaaM (Al Snow & Dustin Runnels) def. Southern Justice (w/Jeff) via pinfall to become the No. 1 Contenders for the WWF Tag Team ChampionshipsKane (c) def. Road Dogg (c) (w/Billy Gunn) via DQ to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship. During the match, an ambitious X-Pac runs in to help Road Dogg and hits a drop kick from the top rope for Kane to fall to the outside for the DQ. X-Pac tells Kane to suck it. Triple H is with Chyna in the back. He says he doesn't mind taking on Ken Shamrock, but he wants Austin more at Breakdown. The European Champion X-Pac rushes in and tells Triple H that he wants to be the one to bring in the Intercontinental Championship to DX. Triple H tells him he isn't ready for a guy like Kane, but X-Pac wants to prove that he could slow the big red machine down and wants DX's help and challenges Kane at Breakdown. The Rock def. Terry Funk (c) via pinfall in a non-title match. The Rock says he knows Funk is Mankind's mentor and he destroyed him, The Rock opens a challenge to Mankind to a Steel Cage Match for Breakdown. Mankind runs out and gets into a fight with the Rock. The Rock fires back as Terry Funk is awakened and jumps both of them. Mankind gets in the mandible claw on Funk as the referee counts it as a submission. Mankind def. Terry Funk (c) via Submission to become the NEW two-time WWF Hardcore ChampionThe Rock is on the outside talking trash to Mankind. __________________________________________________ Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Ken Shamrock for the No. 1 Contender for the WWF Championship at Breakdown Triple H watches the match closely in the back with DX. The Outlaws ask Triple H if they should get involved and Triple H says no. Shamrock is in as Austin runs out and goes for him right away. Shamrock takes Austin down on the mat and beats him down. Austin is on the outside and pulls Shamrock to the outside. Shamrock gets Austin into a headlock and drags him in the ring. Moments later, Austin manages to powerbomb Shamrock for the two and lands the middle rope elbow smash. Austin tries to go for a stunner and misses as Shamrock knocks him down for the ankle lock! Austin won't surrender and goes for the rope break. Austin first back and gets Shamrock into a boston crab, but Shamrock breaks the hold.
