Hey guys, just curious to see if anyone here has a RA collection? I'm recently been getting some of them back as they were my childhood and I'll tell you, sure the scale wasn't great and jakks cheaped out at times, but finding these figures in the stores as a kid was amazing and so much fun. They gave us so many different characters. I am interested in seeing any collections you guys might have. Any recommendations for must haves for RA collections? I'm rebuilding, but starting around the 2003 or so period. Just grabbed Brock,2 Rey's, Christian, edge, and Hogan.

Living in Canada, I can honestly say that collecting Jakks RA or Classic figures was a lot more fun than collecting Mattel figures. For one, we would get many series of Jakks here. Where as Elite 39 has been sitting in our stores for almost two years now.

I still have my Ruthless Aggression 2002-2008 collection displayed on my shelf. The funny thing about my collection is that I have figures of Matt Striker, Shannon Moore, Jimmy Wang Yang, Funaki there but I dont have HHH or the Undertaker. Some must-haves IMO are
John Cena Batista Edge Rey Mysterio Jr Eddy Guerrero Chris Benoit Booker T Rob Van Dam Shawn Michaels Goldberg Ultimo Dragon Stone Cold in T-shirt and jeans Kurt Angle Randy Orton Tyson Tomko

That being said, I look at Tyson Tomko as an example of how out of control I was 03-08 when it came to buying figures. Because in all honesty, Tyson freaking Tomko? I use the phrase "Tyson Tomko" to describe things that I don't necessarily need to buy. For instance, just the other day a friend of mine was going to pick up a Jack O' Lantern Marvel Legends figure. This friend isn't particularly into Spider-Man, nor was he buying the whole line to build a figure. I said, "Do you really want to pick up a Tyson Tomko?" and he put it back. Fast forward 20 minutes, and we run into the whole Netflix Marvel Legends line and he happily picked up that Castle figure instead. This is why I still can't bring myself to buy a Ryback and/or Brodus Clay figure.

Plus, he is a guy who has a Jakks figure but Mattel will most likely never make.

Oh, haha. Didn't mean to make it seem like I was coming down on Tyson. For sure, a great look for a (early to mid 00's) pro wrestler, and a great looking figure.
I stand by my Tomko/Jack O' Lantern comparison though! In the way that they're both (or were) 3rd-4th tier guys to pick up. Because the only people buying 3rd/4th string figures are either little kids who don't know any better, or hardcore, dedicated collectors.

Oh yeah, one time I was at a Toys R Us and I told an employee there I was looking for the RA15? Mark Jindrak figure that was coming out soon. He laughed and said I might be the only guy who wants that figure

Haha, to be fair, Jindrak had been around (counting WCW) for 5 years at that point! I ended up getting the gold Jindrak, I think he came in a 3 pack, but I'm not sure.
Still, Jindrak, another must-have Jakks figure.

Would never part with them. The 2002-2005 era of RA figures were the best.

I still collect them. I'm buying customs and making fixups all the time. I don't have the room to display, but hopefully will in the not too distant future. I have hundreds.

Jakks are mostly all I collect. Any Mattel I buy are used to convert to Jakks. I've slowed down tremendously because of my schedule but I still display my collection.
