When I started I had the intention of keeping them MOC. But the boxes started piling up quick, so I decided to open them. Now I mainly buy to open and pose on my shelves. I still have a small MOC collection, but I have no issue opening them. So much more fun to open hem in my opinion.

I don't open my figures. The box is part of the art. To each their own though. This. The box art is part of the overall experience when collecting figures. I keep my figures MOC in case of a signing or convention. |

I keep all mine MOC.
I have a Rockers two pack which has barely seen the light of day...it’s still in the white box from Mattel.

I do a bit of both, if they’re posed cool in a different package like Roman Reigns from when he won the WWE Title at WrestleMania, I’ll keep him like that.
I’ve been debating if I want Chainsaw Finn Bálor because it’d specifically be MOC, no interest in playing with him.
But now that they come with stands, I can confidently say they look better displayed with those out of the package.
The poses always leave a bit to be desired in package compared to how they can be posed outside of it.

I think a lot of moc collections look cool, especially when they're categorized etc. I however, tried that once and ended up opening my figures and then closing them back in only to open them up again. I can't keep my figures in packaging I pose them and do photography with them. Another reasoning is because everything has a shelf life and it would be nearly impossible to keep it in pristine condition so might as well get use of it imo.

I play with my figures so I open them. I buy doubles of people I really like and keep the extra MOC. If I didn’t play with them I would probably stop collecting

I always open mine, don't have any room for them MOC. I store my figs in gym bags keeping them dust free.
