Hi all I was hoping someone could answer this for me. Does anyone know if there is a chance we would get Buddy Rogers or Gorgeous George figures from Mattel? I know it’s a long show but Rogers did wrestle for the WWWF and George is in the hall of fame. Any insight ?

Most 80's wrestlers don't sell well enough as it is for the kids. No way they make figs their parents may not know either.

I believe Mattel has only made one figure (Bruno Sammartino) that mainly wrestled prior to the Hulk-a-Mania era (1984), three if you count the Wild Samoans (though they did wrestle during the early Hulk-a-Mania era). They probably think those figures will not sell well so they don't even bother. Though, I would buy a Buddy Rogers figure if they made one.

I doubt it, but I would buy them.
Especially Rogers as I want everyone who held the world title.

The ONLY way I could see it is if they were packed with other stars like the new Women's 3 pack with Wendy Richter.

I'd love them as well as more old school guys but I don't think they will sell.

I’d rather have Rip Rogers and George Scott

Ya I would be fine with a Gorgeous George elite with black and white variant chase figure.

I think Bill said there was no chance for a George, I have no issue not getting them as they were a bit before my time Bruno's different because WWE constantly acknowledges him (games, trading cards etc), I still can't believe we havent got a Backlund.

Rogers with that original USA shaped WWWF title would be awesome in the Hall of Champions line.

I don't know if they'd be made; but I would get them for sure, pioneers of the business.

Are they under Legends deals? If not, no chance.

When they haven't even done Bob Backlund or Superstar Billy Graham(which they've had rights to) going back even further than that doesn't seem likely to me any time soon. They'd probably need to be super limited exclusives.

I am totally aware of the classic wrestler named gorgeous george, but everytime someone says that name, this is what I think of... also I'd take this figure to go along with my TNF Macho man ![](https://cdn-s3.si.com/images/1999-Randy-Macho-Man-Savage-Stephanie-Bellars.jpg)

Agreed, but if they do something like they are doing with the Wendi, Lita, Sasha pack. it might have like a Gorgeous George, Goldust, Tyler Breeze threepack or Buddy Rogers, Ric Flair Buddy Landell three pack

I’d buy them from a historical standpoint. Buddy Rodgers with the original WWWF title would be really cool. Can we please stop with the 80s wrestlers don’t sell? It’s like an automatic response from some of you. I currently have 8 Asukas at my target and no 80s dudes. It’s a pretty even amount of classics and currents that stick around and or go on clearance. The evidence is there just open your eyes.
