Sucks. 205 Live really doesn't get the credit it deserves quality-wise. That said, it was pretty obvious these live events probably wouldn't do too well.

That's a shame. Seems like every time they try to take a step forward, they end up taking two back.

I just watched the CWC since I woke up way earlier than I usually do, and I'm left astounded. What happened? It's a shame that such talent comes off as nothing but an afterthought these days.

The CWC was incredible, everyone who got through the first round, I thought were top talents and the division would be awesome. The main thing I dont like about the Cw Division is the segregation from the rest of the roster, I think the reason Neville and Enzo have been as successful as they have been is that they were a part of the main roster first, they have more history the fans know them. Everyone in the CW's end up part of team heel or team face, other than the champion and his challenger, the rest of the CW division just have meaningless tag matches just to get some TV time.

205 isnt great, I watch it quite regularly and dont see much happening, story wise. Sure they can do plenty of high spots and athletic moves but theres only so much of that you can watch. Tony Neese is a top babyface waiting to happen, Im looking forward to seeing how he develops in the near future.

That's definitely holding them back. It's almost as if anyone that weighs less than 205 is automatically at a disadvantage and can't hang with the big guys. Goldust cleaning house was a clear indicator of that. Let them interact with the roster but don't let them come off as inferior. I remember loving the cruiserweight division on Smackdown back in 2003ish, guys like Tajiri, Rey Mysterio, Chavo, Billy Kidman... If they weren't competing for the cruiserweight title, they were involved in mid card storylines sometimes for tag titles or US. Completely isolating them from the roster and having sanctioned slots on the card for "the flippy guys" is disrespectful and would be the first thing I'd change. There's a tonne of talent being wasted there.

Agreed with all of the above. There is a lot of room between segregating 205 live talent and turning them into jobbers for the main roster. There are lots of midcarders that could do some programs with the CW'ers. Some that come to mind are Apollo Crews (who has CW ability, along with lots of muscle like Neville and Nese), Balor, Xavier, Kofi, even AJ Styles once in a blue moon.

I'm not gonna lie but I stopped watching 205 a long time now, surely others did too?

This is BS there isn't a scheduling conflict. Kingston did around 3000 people in 2016 for NXT. They did a gate of 400 tickets several months ago for NXTs return to that venue. They weren't selling well.

Yeah, if this truly is a scheduling conflict, it’s a happy one. There’s no way this thing was selling. The Lowell show had front row available weeks after it went on sale.
Hell, I went to the Lowell NXT house show in September and they didn’t even sell 70% of the building.

Like others have stated, they need to stop having the Cruiserweights exclusively wrestle each other. It's one thing to do it on 205 Live, BUT we see pretty much everything we need to see on Raw. It's the same thing. But featuring these guys with other superstars, at least on Raw, will help everyone in the long run.

I think we all predicted that these shows wouldn't sell, even with the inclusion of Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt. Nobody is debating the wrestling ability of the Cruiserweights....they bust their ass and the match quality is A+.....but as far as name value and character development....except for Enzo and Drew Gulak.....who gets a character? What is the difference between any of them?
I can go to an Indy Show or watch NJPW or ROH and get the same, maybe better MATCHES, but if you don't care about the guys and are not emotionally invested in the characters....it's just hard for a lot of people to get into it. I guess the bottom line is that most people in this day and age don't just want to watch "anybody" wrestle....people want stars and awesome characters...and 205 does not provide that.
I think Enzo as Champ might have something to do with this loss of interest in 205, also. He has "X-Pac heat" where I think people find him, in REAL LIFE, too obnoxious to want to watch. I know I can't stand him, and no, it's not because he's a heel and "doing his job". He's a schmuck in real life and I really can't stand the sight of him. I'd much rather see Neville or Austin Aries be Champ...but WWE forced them out of the company because Enzo sold some "cuppa haters" t-shirts.

I'm sorry, but the cruiserweight division is bland. I'm sure those matches are the lowest rated segments on raw. I'm not surprised in the least by the cancellation. I don't know why they thought having a match that would be a midcard match on any other show as the main event here would help draw in people.
