I don't think my comments were harsh — I was trying to be constructive because the guy works his ass off. But for those saying "he's fine where he is" or "he's playing his role — not everyone needs to be a main eventer", you're ignoring what Zack Ryder wants. He's constantly posting that he wants more. I think there is still a chance for him to gain more. His IC win at Wrestlemania was great, yet I can still see more potential in him. If you think this: is constructive criticism, then you need to find out what constructive criticism actually is. Speak less, add moves, and stop talking about toys, is not constructive...it's just criticism. That's a little harsh. I know he collects and probably reads these forums. When are folks going to realize that you need all kinds of wrestlers to make a great wrestling show: jobbers, mid-carders, and main event stars to name a few. They can't all be in the main event. Guys like Hawkins and Slater play their roles very well and do what they need to/are asked to do. Does he need to work on his promos? Yeah I agree, the jersey shore stuff was a decade ago, evolve! New move-set? Probably; he's got such a great physique now he should really utilize more power moves to sell it Child-Like character? I don't fully agree; wrestlers have to sell merch - keeping a beard and buzz-cutting doesn't make him stand out, he'll just look like another Karl Anderson. He may need a new gimmmick/new right attire. But if he's a babyface and his appeal is to a younger demographic then so be it.Look Zack's no where close to world-title contention, unless he surprise wins the next Royal Rumble or MitB. His employer is paying him well (because he gets super rare Hasbros!) so I think he's happy where he is. You should be too. But unlike Hawkins and Slater, Ryder makes it publicly known constantly that he believes to have more to offer. I don't think he appeals to any demographic anymore. You never see kids with his merch on. If you read his Twitter Feed, I doubt he's happy where he is. His Twitter feed plays right into his underdog role. I just think it's no longer up to booking to help him. Rusev Day's popularity is not a result of booking. Zack got himself over in a big way back in the day...and it took him to where he is now. Also, in case you haven't noticed, Rusev keeps getting himself over too and he's held even less titles than Zack has.

I think Zeke Ritter should show up in the Impact Zone.

Also, in case you haven't noticed, Rusev keeps getting himself over too and he's held even less titles than Zack has. I'm being constructive because I'm adding solutions. I'm serious about the talking less. I think he has charisma to not feel the need to rely on longer promos like the ones he posts online, or the ones that come on the second screen before matches. Rusev is actually a good example of this. he talks very little because, frankly, his promos are goofy... but he has a lot of character. I'm being constructive because I was specific about the types of moves he's missing, and how much more specific can I be about losing the toy gimmick? I'm not making fun of him — I just notice these are things that none of the other guys do who are actually involved and over. How bad does it look now that Randy Orton ends up laughing at him over the toys and Disneyland stuff in a public forum like Twitter. And I don't think anyone else believes his depressing tweets are playing to his character — there is no underdog role anymore. That's been gone for years. He get's called a veteran more than an underdog. And your last comment is totally correct. It lends itself to my original point — he needs to do something new.

They could put him in a feud with AJ, or at least a few matches like Tye Dillinger got. The ratings with KO and Sami in the main event are very unimpressive. Zack wouldn’t harm anything. Maybe he’d do better.

Him and some of the other squandering guys need to go back to NXT, they keep adding to the main roster and the only way they subtract is by firing.

He get's called a veteran more than an underdog. The Kayfabe is strong in this one Lord Palpatine. Ryder is making over six figures I'm sure, has a body most guys envy, is with some of the most beautiful women in the world - and if that doesn't appeal to you, as a fellow collector he has a Hasbro collection most can only dream about. He's got 6" action figures of himself. He got his own WrestleMania moment and posed with one of his heroes Razor Ramon afterwards. The dude is a solid hand for the company. Do you really believe that his depressing tweets are real? Really? Really? If he hated his character so much he'd choose to leave like Cody Rhodes did over "Stardust"; something tells me Zack is just fine.

He should honestly look into a little acting. Has the leading action man look to a T.

Maybe a little edge to his current character would help. He needs a feud that matters, with a few wins going his way. Either that, or put him with Ziggler and call them “Zig- Zacked” or something. Come up with some crazy finisher that catches on, and away they go.
He would have worked perfectly in Bo’s spot in Miztourage - but not to be. No doubt he still has value, but won’t if he can’t get a win at some point.

I'd pair him back up with Hawkins and let them go for the tag titles.

WWE needs to start marketing hard to try to capture that New Jersey audience. Have him really embrace his Jersey heritage. Say everyone hates him because he’s from NJ. Put the world title on him with little to no build up. Give him a couple of flunkies from Jersey. Then have him beat everyone on the roster including Mojo Rawley who just beat him clean a month earlier.

He should have been the one to turn heel not Mojo. Zack’s gimmick needs to be revitalized and making him the heel would have down that and not have a one and march with Mojo, have a decent feud with him.

Crazy to think he's only 1 Championship away from being a Grand Slam Champion.

If he's happy being a high paid, super popular jobber then he's fine where he's at. What are his other options realistically? Impact Grand Champion?

What do you think this guy needs to do because he is drowning fast now. I don't think quitting and going somewhere else is going to help him because something tells me after McIntyre, the WWE is going to put a stop to hiring people back who improved their name somewhere else — That's why I think Dolph hasn't left and I actually think Cody has peaked (by riding the Bullet Club's coattails) and would still be a mid-carder if he comes back. In my opinion Zack Ryder needs to evolve, not change, his character. Changing the character rarely helps someone in the long run. I think Ryder needs to identify his weaknesses: His promos — They just sound corny and non-believable. Mojo smoked him bad recently in their Twitter promos. He needs to speak less and stop overdoing it when he does. His lack of impressive moves — Lot's of people have unique moves that people get impressed by. Ryder needs to add one or two moves because that flip to the outside doesn't really impress many these days. His child-like character — Stop posting about action figures and Disneyland already! Who's going to treat you like a draw that way? And even though the beard is a 10/10, buzz that little kid haircut. The dude has the physique of a monster, yet presents himself exactly the opposite. I feel bad for the guy, but he hasn't done himself any favors lately. "Stop posting about action figures" *writes this on a forum dedicated to action figures*
