I really think she will either be really good or really bad in wwe. No in between. If she is anything less than really good, people will bitch about wwe ever bringing her in. There are very high expectations.
Like a lot of others, I'm also hoping she isn't a female Lesnar. Winning the title, showing up 5 times a year, having boring matches with 2 moves... if she is a Stephanie project, I wonder if Steph will be the Paul Heyman to Rousey's Brock Lesnar? Oh God lol.

People are already bitching about her and all she’s done is point at a sign. When she appeared at WrestleMania 31 everyone wanted her to have a match in WWE and now that she’s an actual signed talent, she’s already facing backlash after one appearance lol. Wrestling fans are some of the most bipolar people on the planet.

But they never drew nearly close to the men. Especially in the Attitude era where you had Austin/Rock/Foley/Angle/Taker/HHH/Jericho all operating at once. Sad but true. They drew some, but a small fraction of what the males did. ESPECIALLY in the Attitude Era. They could if they were given better booking and storylines.... No, they couldn't. I want you to read those names I just said out loud and think about WHO in the divas division at that time even if booked in all their Mary Sue glory could come CLOSE to outdrawing who. Chyna was a big name, but when you took her away from Trips she floundered quite a bit (and I hate to say that, because I loved Chyna) Chyna's allure was mostly connected directly to Triple H and to DX (Shawn/Trips and '98-'99 DX) Lita? sure she was great, but without the Hardys she's not close to what she becomes. Trish? Well, she came out to be the bigger star than all of her charges but still. Not even close to the seven I mentioned previously.

Which is why I feel she should stay away from the women's division and be the Stone Cold to Stephanie's Vince. ehh I don't know about that. It isn't a bad idea but the heel authority figure is just so played out. They've been doing for, what, 25 straight years now?

You can’t make a silly statement and then, when asked to back it up, offer vague nonsense about a magic wand of booking. Unfortunately, Hogwarts grads are not booking WWE, so that magic wand doesn’t exist in those creative meetings. No amount of magical booking would make any combination of the women’s roster draw more attention than one of them fighting Ronda Rousey would. She’s very, very famous in a way that none of the WWE Women are - heck, none of the men besides Cena and Brock, either, and those two aren’t bringing attention to women’s wrestling the way she is. The attitude era saw some (well, one) of the women draw ratings via T&A. But none of them were drawing Stone Cold money. And Stone Cold wouldn’t have been drawing that money without the Mike Tyson angles bringing in new wrestling fans. Now Ronda will be ensuring more people become aware of Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka and so on. Then we’ll see if the booking and performances can draw money going forward.

Just another example of WWE not being content with their current roster so they have to bring in someone to be big deal.
Maybe if you actually cared about your weekly TV show and storylines and put some sort of consistent effort MAYBE you wouldn't have to go out and sign a Ronda Rousey.

As a WWE fan first and a MMA fan after that, I can only feel completely disinterested in seeing her. Like what are we expecting here? In terms of in-ring performance, her to be on the level of Kurt Angle or Brock? I mean she’s also a movie superstar right, so she’s gonna have those promos to shame all others, right? She can do it all huh. That’s what I’m being told to expect by WWE. Except common sense suggests she’s gonna be clunky as , protected by smashing people with one move and have an “oh please don’t hit me!” attitude as that’s part of her persona. Add to that she’s awful at engaging an audience, she can’t act at all and has the personality of a wet toilet roll. The protection could be valid if the millions of people who saw Rousey/Holm and Rousey/Nunes have amnesia, she got beat so badly and then ignored her audience afterwards. Gimme Asuka vs Charlotte 60000 times before seeing “Hot Ronda!!” *pukes* Exactly. If the millions who saw TUF, also have amnesia, seeing as on that show, she proved she is completely devoid of personality and character - unless being a miserable, whiny, bitch counts as personality. This is not a McGregor, Rampage, Sonnen or Bisping type personality they're bringing in here. Her complete turnaround in personality after her losses was astounding and I honestly expect to see it happen again should she fail in WWE. At the same time though, this keeps her off of movie screens for a while hopefully. I can't complain about that.

Divas, women, female wrestlers, whatever you want to call them will NEVER draw as much as men do in the WWE. Period. The fan bases male to female ratio would have to change drastically and then on top of that a miracle would have to happen causing them to be a lot more interesting and entertaining. The casual fan might stop and look at them but I've never met anyone who got into wrestling and became a diehard fan for Women's Wrestling.

THAT's what I'm asking you. HOW!!! No matter how genius the booking was, that would NEVER happen. I'm sorry to say it. I gave a more than in depth explanation. Now I'd LIKE to see if you are actually competent to do the same (I really don't know that you are.)

Not saying I disagree with some of these points, but Brock doesn't exactly ooze personality or character either. He simply has an aura of being a legitimate and, at one point, dominant fighter who also got waxed a few times on his way out the door. I understand his medical issues, simply stating that he has lost a few lopsided UFC fights himself. He is also shielded by Paul Heyman who carries 99.9% of the build and hype for any Lesnar match. WWE will protect their investment in her at all costs. They'll give her time to improve her in-ring ability. If she needs a mouthpiece, she will get one. They aren't looking to throw her out there to look bad neither do I think they're just going to have her decimate the entire division. The hope is that her presence and the mainstream exposure she generates will help take women's wrestling to the next level while simultaneously lining all their pockets with fat stacks of cash. Let's give this a chance at least.

3 of Ronda Rousey's 8 fights drew over a million buys...she good for business. And it's not like WWE is bringing in Jennifer Aniston and having the whole lockeroom lay down for her....Ronda Rousey is legit one of the best fighters in the world, male or female. This is not going to be a situation where the will have to be a suspension of disbelief if/when she beats people like Sasha, Alexa, Bayley, etc...The only thing that's going to be a stretch is if STEPHANIE MCMAHON tries to have a match with her, which she probably will and we'll be asked to believe that Stephanie, a 41 year old mother of 3 stands a chance against a legit (former) MMA fighter. And WWE has a problem because at the time periods the guys that you names were at the top, UFC either didn't exist or wasn't more popular than WWF. UFC and MMA is more popular than WWE and drawing more money and getting better buys on their PPV's. So what is Vince McMahon and the WWE supposed to do? Turn down an opportunity to make a astronomical amount of money just because people on the internet think Sasha Banks or Nia Jax should be at the top? Everyone in the world knows who Ronda Rousey is. Ronda Rousey is going to bring in NEW fans who have never watched WWE. Rousey was never a good fighter. She fought soccer mom's and ducked real competition until she got her head caved in and then ran away from the sport in a suicidal rage only to come back and get beat by a can (Nunes). If anything, this will push some MMA fans away from WWE.

I’m not against bringing Ronda in, but this just shows how big of an issue there is with the WWE not making their own stars. They have to depend on people who were build in other sports/entertainment fields.
Why did Steph decide that Ronda would be her project? Why couldn’t she decide to help one of her full time stars and help build them up?

Had she stayed or if she goes back, her career would have probably looked like Tates. Plus she avoided the big fight with Cyborg.

Why couldn’t she decide to help one of her full time stars and help build them up? Well to be fair, they did the same thing with Mike Tyson many moons ago. And though he was only there short term, many contribute him to helping the boom that put RAW over the top. Same thing with Mr T. He is credited for getting more eyes on WWF's product and getting them to the next level as well. If used correctly as celebrity can help immensely.

The problem I see is that Tyson never actually had a match with anyone so nobody had to take the fall to him. Mr. T worked a few matches, but one was a tag match and the other was a boxing match so his appearances didn’t hurt anyone either. With Ronda, she’ll be a full time worker which is great, but like Lesnar, if she is put on a whole nother pedestal, the rest of the roster will look bad. In all it makes the “WWE” stars look bad in comparison to the “MMA” stars when they come in and dominate. Cena has never been viewed the same way as he was before he jobbed to Brock at SS ‘14. Imagine how bad it’ll look if Charlotte or Asuka get dominated like that just to make Ronda look good. I’m not saying they’ll take the same booking approach with her like they did Lesnar, but either way it won’t look good if Ronda dominates the whole women’s division that the WWE has been promoting as a revolution since 2015.

I love women's wrestling, I think it has potential to draw. anything has the potential to draw. Two bananas fighting over a monkey has the potential to draw given the right tools, time and effort put forth into the story but drawing and beating men's wrestling are two entirely different things. Women's Wrestling will never draw more than males wrestling. At least not in the WWE. Most are not nearly half as entertaining in the ring or out of it. Rousey will change that a bit I hope but that's a long ways to go. She will DEFINITELY help them draw but I doubt she will make them on par with the ratings of men's wrestling. Just how I see it. Plenty of people use the women's matches to get drinks and take a piss break. Its like halftime for a lot of people. Not saying there arent men who are literally a commercial break either lol but currently it is what it is. As far as drawing in the Attitude Era goes, EVERYTHING drew numbers in the Attitude Era. Especially Women who were being used as eye candy. It wasn't until the end of the AE into the beginning of the Ruthless Aggression Era when women started being more than T&A.
