Was anyone else hoping we would get to see this match before Brock inevitably drops the belt to Roman? Yes, I know Finn is, like, a hundred pounds lighter than Brock, but we're just talking about the story arc itself here. This is wrestling, after all. I think a demon Finn with Gallows and Anderson in his corner would've been phenomenal against Brock, especially if the Balor Club was treading the line of going heel going into the match with Finn being desperate to do anything possible to get his title back that he never lost. Plus, if anyone was going to be able to beat Demon Finn for the first time, Brock would've been the most believable. At this point, Vince will probably have his first loss come at some random throwaway PPV after Roman is holding the belt and gives everyone a Superman punch for the 45th time in a match, followed by a spear. I just think as much as people hate on Brock, the man knows how to work. It's not his own personal choice to suplex guys a million times in a match. He could've gotten Finn over way better than anyone else Finn has faced to this point because when Brock beats you, it looks believable.

Nah. Finn hasn't been nearly built up enough for the match. If they were going to do it, they would need to book him like Roman-lite for about 6 months, imo. And make the Good Brothers look legitimate ag... for the first time in WWE.

Personally I was hoping Finn was going to win the Royal Rumble and go on to face Brock at WrestleMania. And when he came out #2 I felt it was going to happen and believed it all the way up until the final four. lol

Everyone and their mother has known that it's Lesnar-Reigns in the main event of Mania since like, May of last year.

The match would do Finn more harm than good.
The last thing he needs is to get mauled by Lesnar.

honestly...i couldnt care less about this match. every single brock match has been a tremendous let down tbh. like, theres always a spot or two thats cool but the rest is just meaningless filler and suplexes. brock is not the wrestler he used to be....not by a long shot
i dont think the match would have been anything special if it happened. it would have been a cool Finn entrance, then a bunch of suplexes and 25 near falls, ultimately finn would lose and on to the next.

The build could have had potential, but the match wouldn't have lived up to the hype. Ultimately Balor would've lost to Lesnar if this had taken place during Brock's march toward Lesnar-Reigns II: Electric Boogaloo: It's REALLY My Yard Now. Him donning the Demon paint in the match could have jeopardized the entire gimmick he needs to remain a mainstay in WWE. Personally, I never believed his striking style would've matched well with Brock. Daniel Bryan's technical/ submission acumen would have been a much better matchup, and some people weren't buying that when it was still possible.
Maybe if Finn hadn't had p*ssed in Vince's Corn Flakes by getting injured in his title match in 2016...

If the match happened, the same people would be complaining that Brock beat Demon Balor. The loss would harm Demon Balor’s unstoppable aura, or at the very least, would do less for Finn than the great showing in the Rumble match did. So there’s no upside to it yet. When Balor Club is more established, it could be great.

Ha ha ha, yeah.... a guy that should be on 205 Live - but isn't because he has a Demon character - should face the monster that is Brock Lesnar??
Balor should be in an intense feud with Drew Gulak over the "no fly" zone situation. Not being handed Universal Title shots. And believe you me, Vince remembers Balor getting injured, he isn't gonna try that again.
AJ Styles has been lucky, if the day comes where AJ gets injured while holding the WWE Title or Universal Title, that will be the end for him too. Just take a look at Seth Rollins and Balor as examples.

Lmfao. Nope.
How you gonna miss the boat on a 275 lb legit badass beast vs a tiny 170lb cruiserweight when there was never a boat to catch?

The question started out strong, but then somehow turned into another Roman rant. BUT....
I personally don't need to see Balor rag-dolled for ten minutes and then pinned clean by Brock. And unfortunately that is all Brock really wants to do nowadays. Look at the Ambrose match as a perfect example. The build was fun, the match was not. Same with Joe. Strowman. Unless Brock wants to go (like he did with Goldberg), you don't get much from him.
I also think Balor accomplished much more in his Rumble performance than he would have losing to Brock. And IMO it feels like Balor is on the cusp on breaking out to the next level.

I fear that Finn is just going to get lost in the shuffle. He is never getting that Universal title rematch. If he does get it, they better not emphasize that he is FINALLY getting it because getting a rematch for the belt you never lost nearly two years after the fact really makes the logic of your booking look really bad.
I am extremely grateful that Demon vs. Abigail never happened. That would have been a joke of a match that Demon Balor would have never recovered from. It would have been such an embarrassment.

I just can't take Finn Balor seriously as a viable opponent for Brock Lesnar. The guy has absolutely no intensity and there's absolutely nothing intimidating about him.

Fin was booked so strong on his debut, getting injured really set him back in a major way, so far he hasnt been as impressive as his debut match on raw, his booking style has totally changed, maybe he needs a fresh start on smackdown. as for Fin vs Brock, no they havent missed the boat, if Brock carries on his part time schedule he'll be able to compete well into his 50's and Balor is still young. At this current point in time, Fin needs to be built up in a huge way if they want to pit him against lesnar.

I guess Brock suplexing him with one arm would be cool.

The size difference would be too much to get over. It would look like Brock was fighting a child.
