Yep 10-10-95 to be exact. The infamous Steve Austin promo. My favorite wrestling show? Without hesitation WWF PTW for me.

ECW Hardcore TV 10-10-95
Your Host:Joey Styles
We kick the show off with the infamous Steve Austin promo in which he basically rips into Eric Bischoff and WCW.You could tell he running on real emotions as he was fired from WCW just a few months prior so I'm sure this was Paul Heyman saying hey the mic is yours say what you gotta say. He then starts rippping on ECW in classic heel fashion calling it ''bunch of violent crap''. He ends by deeming himself ''Superstar'' Steve Austin. Fantastic promo here as it felt real the whole way and was a precursor to the Stone Cold character he would have in the WWF just months later.
We next get a hype central segment with Lance Wright(Member him??!!) hyping up Mikey Whipwreck vs Sandman for the ECW World Title.
Promo by Sandman and his manager Woman focusing on impending debut of ''Superstar'' Steve Austin.
Taz promo up next. We got a lot of these in this episode. His sights are on Jason and 2 Cold Scorpio. Beat him if you can...Survive if he let's you!!!!
Next promo is The Eliminators Saturn and Kronus calling out the Steiner Brothers who had a brief run in the company during this time.
Steiners with a response to the challenge. basic promo here.
''Bealuah's Box'' segment. Moving on...
Taz vs Jason- Finally a match!! just a squash here with Taz winning by tapping out Jason with the Tazmission.
Jason stays in the ring post match complaining and saying he built ECW and all this jazz. Debuting El Puerto Ricano comes out and sends Jason away from the ring in quick fashion. Pointless segment here.
El Puerto Ricano vs Cactus Jack- Fun little match here as Cactus at this time was trying to dismiss the hardcore stuff and go to straight up classic wrestling. Raven (who was in his corner) DDTs Ricano on the floor to allow Cactus the win with a cradle pin.
Post match Tommy Dreamer comes in with a brawl and all hell breaks loose. Dreamer gets put through a table to end this segment. BANG BANG!!. I really liked the pairing of Raven and Cactus. Good stuff here.
Quick interview segment with 2 Cold Scorpio dissing Dreamer. Ok then...
Hype central segment hyping up Dreamer/Cactus.
We end the show with a promo from Raven/Cactus Jack. Great stuff here as Cactus goes all anti-violence as he says he cant go back to WCW as he's ''damaged goods'' by this point to the nature of ECW. This was during the time period where Foley was just gold with his promos. Some of his best promos were right here in ECW and this one was no different.
Overall Thoughts: The 2 matches on this episode are easily skippable but man those 2 promos from Austin and Cactus Jack are must see. They literally save this show from being total crap. Final Verdict:Recommended
Until next time humanoids....Stay Classic.

I could never sit through an ECW tv show. First off it didn’t air here until 2am and I had to work the next morning. But even if I didn’t have work the next morning it aired like a late night informercial and I couldn’t sit through something like that either.

Really? I was living in Essex county and Passaic county NJ back then and I only remember it being on at like 2 or 3 AM. One of my coworkers who worked the later half of my shifts used to talk about it all the time.

IIRC I believe they replayed it here during the early am hours because I do recall seeing it once in awhile that late at night. I didn't watch it as much when it moved to 11pm here as like yourself I had to get up in the morning.

Maybe because you were in Philly you had it on a local channel earlier?

Maybe because you were in Philly you had it on a local channel earlier? Yeah I'd assume so. I'm surprised though it wasn't on earlier in Jersey and NY considering they were the other 2 hot spots for the company.

I discovered ecw here in Northern NJ on MSG network. It was on late Saturday/early Sunday at 1 am. I actually thought ecw was real wrestling because of the blood.
2 things Heenan guy- do you remember what the music was that played when Lance Wright would advertise the ecw shirt? Also you should review the episode where it opens with a Beulah video to the song "Heart Shaped Box".

Also you should review the episode where it opens with a Beulah video to the song "Heart Shaped Box". If I'm not mistaken it was a different song each time. I remember for one ad they used Public Enemies theme and for another they used RVD's theme ''Walk'' by Pantera.
Do you have the exact date for that episode? I remember the music video but can't remember the date.

ECW Hardcore TV 10-17-95
We kick off this episode with a music video on Beulah Mcgillicutty to the tune of Nirvana's ''Heart Shaped Box''. Her showing off for a few minutes? No complaints from me.
Promo time with the Dudley Boys. No D-Von here until the following spring.
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs Psicosis in a 2/3 falls match- I was never a big fan of lucha style wrestling but this was fine.Rey wins the 1st fall quickly with a hurricana after only about a minute and a half. Psicosis wins the 2nd fall after a tombstone. We are tied at 1 fall apiece!! Psicosis with the 3rd fall and the win after a twisted moonsault on a chair that was on Rey's body.Cool looking spot. Again if you're into this type of wrestling then watch this one as it's pretty much non stop the whole 12 minutes.
Lance Wright with the ''Hardcore Phoneline'' plug. Next...
Raven/Stevie Richards vs Pitbulls for the ECW Tag Titles-2 refs here in Bill Alfonso and ECW Pres Todd Gordon. Not the full match here as they clip it down significantly. Match is your typical ECW brawl match with Raven/Richards winning the belts after Cactus Jack comes out and DDT's Pitbull 2 on a chair.
To end the show we get the traditional ECW promos to the tune of ''Miserlou''. We even get a cameo by Legend Lou Thesz endorsing Taz!!
Final Thoughts-Overall IMO this was a very forgettable episode. The lucha match is worth a look for you fans of that style but it's a match I can live without even though it was still entertaining for the most part. Highlight for me from this show was Raven/Richards winning the belts(even though it was clipped to death)Verdict-Mild Recommendation
Until next time Humanoids...Stay Classic

The Beulah Heart Shaped Box video is my favorite music video ecw made of a talent! The match in which the Pitbulls beat Raven and Richards was awesome despite not being a 5 star technical classic. It was 5 stars in its own way.
I've suggested a lot of reviews. Let's see what others suggest.

King of the Ring 1993
Your hosts-Jim Ross,Bobby Heenan,Randy Savage ( one of the very few 3 man announce teams I liked)
KOTR quarterfinal match:Bret Hart vs Razor Ramon- Good match to kick us off here. I prefer the match these two had at the Rumble the previous January but this was still a fine opener. Bret with the win after reversing a belly to back superplex off the top rope. Hitman marches on in his quest to be King!
KOTR quarterfinal match:Mr. Perfect vs Mr. Hughes- Perfect did what he could but at the end of the day it's a Mr. Hughes match. Hughes is DQ'ed after hitting Perfect with the Undertaker's urn(which he stole on Superstars right before this event). Perfect vs Bret in the semi-finals humanoids!! As far as Hughes goes he would stay in the WWF until the end of the Summer before leaving for ECW.
KOTR quarterfinal match: Bam Bam Bigelow vs Jim Duggan- Another bad match here but at least it was kept short. Bigelow with the win after his signature headbutt off the top. Duggan like Mr. Hughes would be gone be the end of the Summer. One more HOOOOOOO!!! for the road.
KOTR quarterfinal match: Lex Luger vs Tatanka- Not a great match here but still wayyyyy better than the previous two matches. Both are eliminated as the 15 minute time limit expires.Tonto I mean Tatanka gets knocked out post match by Luger's loaded forearm. Just a few weeks later Luger would be repackaged as the All-American babyface which is a shame IMO as I really liked the Narcissist gimmick.
All advance-Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect, Bam Bam(Who has a buy to the finals)
KOTR semi-final match:Bret Hart vs Mr. Perfect- Oh yeah you know this was going to be good. I personally have never seen a bad match between these two. Bret with the win after a small package even though it looked like Perfect's shoulder was up. Definite best match of the night but I still prefer the SSlam match. Still check this out as it's still a fantastic match between two pros.
Bret Hart vs Bam Bam in the finals!!
Hulk Hogan vs Yokozuna for the WWF World Title- Hogan's lash hurrah here for a good 9 years. Is it just me or does Hogan mouth ''So long'' during his entrance? Yoko with the win after a ''Japanese photographer'' flashes Hogan allowing Yoko to hit a legdrop(irony) for the win. Big moment here for Yoko as he would unofficially kill Hulkamania and would go on to have a decent run with the belt in the process. Hogan would have a few house show appearances after this but this was his last televised WWF show until 2002. Not a very good match here but a big moment.
Steiners/Smoking Gunns vs Money Inc./Headshrinkers- typical run of the mill 8 man tag here just to give a fans a breather after the last match. Babyfaces with the win after Billy Gunn gets a small package on Dibiase. Moving on...
Shawn Michaels vs Crush for the WWF IC Title- standard power vs speed match here. I was never a Crush fan but I'm surprised they never did anything with him as he was way over here. HBK retains the belt here as Doink distracts Crush allowing Shawn to hit the superkick.
KOTR finals: Bret Hart vs Bam Bam Bigelow- Good main event here to end the show. I liked the story told here of could Bret who was tired and worn down from his previous 2 matches come back and beat a pretty much fresh Bigelow. Luna Vachon makes a cameo near the end to aid Bigelow but in the end Bret with the win after a victory roll. Bret Hart is KING!!
We get the post match coronation with Gene Okerlund presenting Bret with the crown until Jerry Lawler comes out and attacks Bret kick starting not only a classic feud but my favorite feud of 1993. Lawler as a heel here was awesome. Good way to end the show.
Final thoughts- You got 3 great Bret Hart matches and a big moment in Yoko winning the belt. That in turn awards this show a passing grade. Verdict-Recommended

The 93 version is one of my favorite of the King of the Ring ppvs. What I thought was weird was the announcers weren't trying to speculate who the camera man was that burned Hulk Hogan. I was hoping Hogan would win here then lose to Bret Hart at Summerslam 93. Hogan refused to lose to Bret because "he was too small". Ugh, imagine what an uproar the internet would be today if Cena refused to lose to AJ Styles because "he was too small". Say what you want about Cena, but his ego wasn't as big as Hogan's.
