If there was ever a time to sell your action figure collection and get the most money for it, it is now. SELL SELL SELL!!! I just like the figs. This part continues to make me laugh.

Didn’t pull the chase, but very happy with the latest offering from PWT. I miss Owen! also noticed the DSOTR logo in the corner, I wonder what kind of deal was worked out.

I wish that shade of blue wasn't so light...His actual tights were a darker blue. Now I'm hoping for the chase red.

Maybe it just appears that way under the lighting above the ring, but I could be wrong. It's been years (like 15+) since I've watched any Stampede.

We think one day will will buy the Honus Wagner of figs. But let me tell you something...it’s a rare condition this day and age to read any good news on the newspaper page and it’s also just as rare to get a fig that will be worth anything substantial. Collectors buy multiple of each and keep some MOC. There will always be inventory of whatever your looking for. The toy business has changed. Love and tradition of the grand design, some people say it's even harder to find.

So, assuming the license continues, we'll eventually get AEW Micro Brawlers of wrestlers like Kenny, the Bucks, Cody, Hangmann, and etc. who've had previous Brawlers. I wonder if they'll be repaints or totally different molds/poses/etc. (For guys who have basically the same shaped attires and general look). I'm honestly a bit torn as to what I'd prefer.

I need to watch more stampede, what I’ve seen was great. The tights with 3 stars were worn by a few stampede wrestlers, I expect they just used the same gear maker

Soooooo there are four people who have the Owen chase on the bay....well they also either sold or still have the Jake chase....just gonna leave this right here and let you guys figure this one out. Pulling 1 chase is about a 20:1 shot(based on the 5000 crate total and 250 chase brawler theory), 2 in a row would be 400:1 that’s if PWT does insert them randomly regardless if your a previous winner and the monthly odds remain 20:1. So not unfathomable. For at least 4 people to get it really starts to stretch the mathematical probability but again not statistically impossible. Could be other factors in play here other than lucky crate receivers. Based on PWT Instagram “250 crates will get chases.” That does not necessarily mean only 250 were made, we would need that specific language to be sure on the math. The first Owen Hart Microbrawler was “250 numbered”. MajorPod said last week that this is not the case with their crate, no extras are being made. One could be what I call a ‘SMSD’ (Secondary Market Strategic Drop) used to gather intel. Gifted Chases which are being used as money basically (Upper Deck scenario). One eBay account buys multiple crates, or buys the chase to flip(the quick turnaround however brings that into debate unless they bought the Jake and pulled the Owen) Will need to do more research! Could be a nothing burger. It’s really important for transparency to individually number items with low quantities in the collecting business. A sticker just doesn’t cut it.

There are also a couple of Brawler guys who I'm convinced do nothing but try to buy and flip Brawlers all day. When I started collecting, I using Mercari to fill out my collection. Every time a decent lot would drop, it would literally sell within a minute or two and it was always the same guy buying. Any time I see a chase Brawler posted to social media, I see them swoop in and try to buy it. Pretty crappy overall, but it would be better than backdooring chases or the same people getting them every month.

GREAT post. A lot of people are going to be out a lot of money with not much on their hands...
They'll have exactly what they paid for - some fun 3 inch PVC figures. I've always been a big believe that you should collect assuming everything will be absolutely worthless. Which is to say put your money in 401k, IRAs, etc and save for the future. If you've got some fun money and want to speculate in collectibles, knock yourself out. But I've seen people burned way too many times thinking their collectibles were their retirement fund. Unfortunately I agree with you that from what I've seen, a lot of the Brawler crowd are probably going to end up on the wrong side of this. Reading this made me think of Figpins. I remember seeing Figpins at Gamestops here and there, and thought it was a neat idea. A pin...but also kind of a mini figure you can stand up and display. Fun. I distinctly remember nobody really giving a damn about these things though and them usually winding up with the big yellow clearance sticker on them. Well, fast forward a couple years and I'm noticing more and more stores carrying these things, the price seems to be higher, and they now release limited and store exclusive variants out the wazoo. Reading up online (from what I can gather anyway), I see people wanting to dump their collections because Figpins aren't selling out as quickly, and the company stopped releasing runs in very limited quantities (or something or other), probably because they rose in popularity and the company is trying to get their product into as many hands as possible. But now people want out. I guess I just don't have the gambler's spirit. I don't understand taking up room in your house with stuff that MAY appreciate in value, or that you MIGHT be able to flip down the road. I collect too much crapas it is, so my space is already taken up with things I actually DO want. I bet I'd be shocked at how much some of the stuff I have is worth because I've never cared to check.

I think almost everyone really wants that Owen in pink/black. It's kind of exploitative of a man's death for PWT to keep that version artificially rare. I guess Owen's family doesn't know or care

I guess Owen's family doesn't know or care That's a bit much to suggest they're exploiting him. I'm sure they'll release variations of almost all of his attires, and charge a higher cost for them. They're creating artificial demand, as they control the rarity.

It's the same strategy Mattel uses - release the least desirable attires when demand is highest, and then slowly put out the more desirable looks to sustain sales. More will come.
