Ya boy Sykes got a job finally. This is gonna be a test run to see if I can write and work. I get off at 5 everyday and will go to bed around 10, hopefully I can. Ya boy Brennan leaves the house at 6:30 each morning and usually doesn't get in until 6:30 each night. You learn to write on the can. I leave the house at 8 AM and don't get home until around 9 PM. While I don't have time to write any more, I do full production and social media for two major indies, with a third starting soon.. 2 DVDs & blu rays produced a week. Somehow I still get these visions of stepping into Schneider, at least once more.. |

I for got about the show. I'll have to get a start on the RP tonight and have if halfway finished, work kills me, I have to get 8 hours sleep or I seize out (quite literally) so waking up at 7, working from 8-5, then sleeping at 11, not including showering and eating when I can't really eat, I have about 3 hours a night. God. I don't like facing Tyler like this.
Plus next week I have a sleep study Wednesday night until Thursday noon.
Jayson Sykes is still the man though. Even if he does have seizures.

How's everybody doing with their RPs? I'll be watching to see if we have anybody asking for an extension as I scheduled the deadline for midnight Sunday so everybody gets a full weekend to finish up... or get started if you like to procrastinate.

Bully on me for allowing the sands of time and age to alter my frame of mind. If someone wants to make a concerted effort to squeeze this in, I've got enough going on in the background in my own right to not feel too put out by an additional 24 hours leeway. I've also made no bones in the past about taking my lumps over a no-show. I think it's a bit lofty to assume that if someone has to let their participation in an e-fed slip, given the wealth and variety of backgrounds we've got here, ranging from the minutiae of high school and all it's associated baggage to chronic illness to households and families and kids and such (haha), they don't care. Then again, perhaps I'm just a bit put off by comments like this since shy of a few minor degree slips, I feel like King Richius and I have run a pretty well oiled machine thus far, adjusting for circumstance while still not allowing too much breathing room from piece to piece. As always, however, if someone actually thinks there's a legitimate cause for concern over my end of the weight here, I fully endorse anyone willing to step up and do better. I took this on unexpectedly, largely at the request of a guy who's never done wrong by me and has always treated me with the utmost respect, but I absolutely do not need to be doing it. Consider that an open invitation to anyone willing to put forth more effort than I have - I'll go to the higher ups myself and give 'em your name if you wanna take the reins and show us how it's done. |

I also get that many times someone asked for an extension they specifically mentioned needing the time off that the weekend offers from their normal weekday schedule. We often say that real life takes precedence over the WFWF so this is an attempt to cater to people with more hectic lives. I'm trying something a little different to see if my theory plays out in actual practice. I'd rather be an optimist and an idealist until proven otherwise. It worked last show as we had full participation with zero extensions. |

At any rate, he got something in, which I'm totally fine to spot someone on, assuming they deliver. Just 'cause I've gone soft in my old age doesn't mean I'm fixing to start handing out the brand of extensions Josh Dean used to take, but 24 hours (even if it happens *gasp* literally every show) isn't anything I'm about to lose sleep over. Would it be cool if it could be avoided? Sure. Are extensions more often than not bandaids for those who lost track of time? Probably. Am I going to keep handing them out in good faith seeing as the ones generally asking for them are, on the whole, still more contributory to the on going health of this fed than this entire conversation every time it comes up a couple of shows into each new ownership tenure  ? Another update: the Riot on Broad Street show is pretty much in the can (as they say in Hollywood). Just waiting on one segment to set up the main event for the Madison Square Garden show. The show will be posted tomorrow night at the latest even without the segment, which we can present later as a special WFWF.COM post instead.

I took a bath this weekend on Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby. The horseracing Gods did not want me to end the weekend in the black. Betting on horses is the devil. I would like to say I would just stick to betting on sports but I can't even pitch that lie to myself. The 76ers are also going to cost me some money if they let the Celtics sweep them. This is why I hate Philadelphia. I bet on a Philly team to win, they lose. I bet on them to lose and they win. They always screw me on the point spread. F~ck Philadelphia. Sh~t city in a sh~t state.
