Living in NH, I've driven into "the big city" (Boston) on a fairly regular basis since I was 16. I generally think people afraid to do so are kind of a puss and personally revoke their Townie cards whenever they b*tch about how scary/overwhelming/frustrating it can be. Like, the Boston House of Blues is next door to Fenway Park, and unless the Sox are playing, I'd much rather drive straight into Kenmore and pay the $15 to park in the Landsdowne garage than pay the same amount to park in Cambridge and hike a 45 minute train ride in (and back at the end of the night). As you may or may not know, I lived in Davis Square in Somerville for ten years. I used to go to the various clubs in Central Square all the time for shows, taking the T into Boston. Real pain in the ass though because the shows would end after the T stopped running for the night meaning I'd have to take a cab back home if I couldn't hitch a ride with a friend. One and only complaint I have about mass transit in Boston. Yeah, NYC definitely has the leg up on mass transit over Boston, for that matter. Before I got wise to the con, taking the T into Kenmore was no big thing because whether it was the Axis, the Avalon, or the eventual HoB, all those joints had club night so shows'd be getting out well before you had to worry about the trains stopping. Anywhere else, though? I never even bothered. I can park Central like the back of my hand from my days driving in to go to the ManRay. I'll actaully be at the Middle East in a couple of weeks, come to think. Driving right in.

and this is signs that if you do it right, kayfabe can be obtained within even efedding. I still don't know who of E and Thunder was Kraig and Napoleon so, I mean, a lot goes over my head. I'm a fan. Kraig becoming a central character in EBR story lines was a tip off, no?

You guys are talking about moving some stuff off this site, which is great and all, but I'm beyond glad the general discussion title is back to our current times. Thanks Drakz and bad guy™ for making it 2006 in the old thread in retaliation to my slight OCD. I mean, I can still change it. I have the authority. But not the audacity to stand up to Brennan. Not after we've become such great friends... I swear to god.

Deep Figure Value Love the new sig. What are we going to do tonight? Same thing we do every night. Try to take over the world! The best. See the first part of my post about going to New York. We were there to see Rob Paulsen (the voice of Yakko, Dr. Scratchensniff, Pinky, etc.) perform "Animaniacs: Live" with Randy Rogel, who wrote like 90% of the songs for the show. My wife and I have met Rob and Jess Harnell (the voice of Wakko, my #2 character on the entire show) a handful of times. Still on the docket is Tress Macneille (who's like finding the golden idol since she's got that Simpsons gig and all) and Maurice Lamarche (Brain). I never appreciated the show as a kid, but it was my wife's favorite, so I've come to really love it in my later years. It really was ahead of its time.

For those of you who didn't see my post in the Back to Basics card, an extension to Saturday has been granted for all. I think for future shows we may make the deadlines for RPs always end at midnight on a Sunday so people have that last weekend to get them done.
Didn't stop me from posting my RP today. My way of getting the ball rolling for the show.

I don't know how many (if any) of y'all write on the go like me via mobile device or anything like that, but if you do, I can't tell you how much Google Docs has changed my life. I'm sure I'm way late to the party, but god damn, I've never felt so unstifled by when and where I can write. On a more serious note, I want to take this time to point out that King Richius has posted his RP for Back to Basics. For our tenured members, this is old hat, but I wanted to take a minute to personally invite/encourage our new blood - in particular Kill Em' All and @nwf, who've already graced us with character profiles and some material for this upcoming show, to take a swing over and read what he's put up. More notably, I'd like to see you guys (and you old timers, too) respond with some thoughts. I'm guilty of having fallen off this habit myself recently, but while myself, Rich, and bad guy™ can bend over backward trying to inject life into this place, a lot of it falls to all of us, and to me, nothing is cooler as a writer than putting my stamp on something and seeing what people make of it. Nobody's work here is off limits for criticism, and while some of us (HI!) might get a bit defensive, there isn't a writer here who's opinion on someone else's work isn't valid if the time is taken to read and absorb it. Reading makes you a better writer, critiquing can often times help you find your way out of some of your own hang ups, and no creative worker has ever come off the back of constructive criticism worse for wear. Myself and Rich will absolutely get around to every piece, but at least for my money, every word counts. There've been times when I've been called to bat cleanup for a tie-breaking vote in past ownership reigns, and I've got no problem telling you that when put to it, I read the entire piece and every word that came after it - sometimes other readers pick up on things you miss.

Gonna' second what Deep Figure Value said and add one more reason for everybody, particularly new members to read and absorb everything. One of the best ways to succeed in the WFWF is to fully incorporate your character into the WFWF, become a part of the bigger picture. It takes time, several months at least, but if you're going to do that you need to know what is going on with everybody else. As for the replies so far, thanks guys but don't get too excited. The cream of the crop hasn't posted yet. If you thought my RP was any good, wait until you read the David Brennan RP. There's a reason he has all the damn gold right now. Even on an allegedly bad day he can write circles around most of us. On a good day he's been virtually unstoppable going on two years. Not that I won't try if and when I get my chance... heh heh.

So I am a liar. I kept rewriting and rewriting things last night because I couldn't get things how I saw them in my head, eventually I passed out from exhaustion, anger and drunkness.
I have never been great with deadlines around here and I am sorry for letting people down. Hopefully I will not have an anger stroke when I try to finish things but we will see.

"So much for our first tour - two no shows, and one sick Triceratops."
"It could've been worse, John. A lot worse."On an unrelated note, a tentative roster page is up. I'm gonna be tweaking this over the next couple of weeks, namely because I wanna completely retool the championship identifiers, and I think I got too ambitious with the size of each picture, but for the time being, if you've expressed a desire to stay active and you've posted a profile, you're up there.

I think the new roster page looks great. Brandon Bison is coming back soon so there's the first edit. And a suggestion that I could do as easily as you if you'd like would be to link each person's name with their character bio. Let me know...

Hey just thought I'd drop a quick message. I've not been in an e-fed for around seven years since I was in College but I'm currently doing English Lit at Uni and thought this would be a nice break from the writing I'm currently obliged to do. I've not put much information in my characters bio, simply because I plan to reveal a lot of this in my RP's. If there's any advice for me though please let me know as like I said I've not done this for a while. It looks like you have a great fed here with real top quality writers so I hope I can bring something to what you already have. I plan to make your next show following Back to Basics but there will be a period from mid-April to mid-May that I'll be inactive due to assignments and exams. Hope this is going to be as enjoyable for me as it seems to be for you lot!
