You are overreacting. They are only potentially being purchased and even then will probably continue on. Maybe, maybe not. It just appears that Gamestop isn't in the best shape right now especially according to the aforementioned article. And let's face it, the retrofest, the package, the naming and everything was alluding to videogames. The reason they did that was as a special thing for Gamestop...a *gasp* VIDEO GAME STORE! Hence the package being made to look like an old arcade cabinet. |

Not surprising. Gamestop rips people[mostly kids] off. Their prices are insane. I can buy a brand new game for $60 then the next day get $10 in trade for it.Then they will price that used game at $54.99. Seems fair. Lol. I really want that Honkey Tonk man hopefully it still sees the light of day.

They need to reach more than just a gamer. With Toys r us going out of business they need to find those niche lines no one will
Carry. Most video gamers like those because they are related to video games. And price them fair

They are being bought out.
Stores will probably remain open.
This may actually be a good thing, as the new parents company may focus on more collectibles
