Interesting too that Carmella beat Asuka once again. I know Vince loves to tear down people and rebuild them himself, so maybe that's what he is doing with Asuka?? It seems he did that with Nakamura as well and now he is a champion, so I guess time will tell.

That's cause the Unforgiven 98 and King of the Ring 99 crowds were GARBAGE! Greensboro crowds have been fun to be in at recent TVs/house shows. Starrcade was very, very fun to be in that crowd. The Starrcade crowd was fantastic. We were on fire pretty much the whole night (and I was only a day out of the hospital). Plus they drew 15,000 for a house show! The fact that they still haven't put a PPV there after than night is crazy. I'd also disagree about the 98 and 99 crowds, but that could be my nostalgia thinking they were better than they were. I'm going on memory of being there and not having seen it recently.

Just now getting around to watching the show. Checked the last few pages and am already a bit aggravated after reading the crowd poo-poo'd the ME with Rumble chants. Let's just not even have matches at this point. Let the moronic fans pay to chant at an empty ring if they want the show to be about them so bad.

These stupid ass moronic fans are THE reason WWE ignores them and do and push whoever they want

I dont usually get on a crowd for being bad, but they should have been embarrassed for that main event. Those guys did nothing wrong and deserved that spot. People complain about Reigns in the top spot and are given something fresh and act like that. Totally uncalled for.

Having Carmella/Asuka and Jeff/Shinsuke back to back made the show feel very weird since they didn’t feel like actual matches.
But the show finished good with the last 4 matches being solid.
Summerslam is going to be good I’m hoping we get Lesnar/Lashley and Roman/Taker?

Watched to show on a bit of a delay and I have to say that I felt it was one of the better paced shows WWE has presented in recent while. I was only disappointed with Reigns/Lashley match as I felt they didn't have much chemistry in the ring.

Just got back from the show, here are my thoughts.
Enjoyed it, felt it was better than it had any right to be. The biggest pop of the night was Angle threatening to strip Lesnar of the title. Didn’t see Orton’s return coming. Glad Reigns vs Lashley didn’t main event and that Lashley won. Braun killing KO was obviously the Holy crap moment of the night. Taker and Foley I’m sure smiled watching that.
Now, as far as the main event goes. I loved Seth and Dolph getting that spot, they earned it. That being said, it’s a damn shame the match was hyjacked. At least when we did it at Royal Rumble 2014, that match/PPV deserved it, Seth and Dolph didn’t and I’d be beyond pissed if I were them. Good match, but the ending fell flat and was more of a Raw ending.

Was the crowd at least into the match the other 50 seconds of each minute? I can't imagine that they would've been upset with anything going on with the match. Finally got a deserving main event with Reigns bumped more in the middle of the card, so I really hope WWE doesn't view it as giving us what we want and rejecting it. If they do tho, then eff that crowd for screwing it up.
But hey, PFJ lost to Styles, so it was a successful show.

I found what the crowd was doing during the main event no different than the RAW/SD after WrestleMania crowds. I don’t care if it is the main event of a PPV or any match on RAW/SD I find it just as disrespectful to the performers whenever they crap on a match with chants that have nothing to do with the match going on. Someone said it was OK when it was don at the RR ‘14, but not last night...well, honestly it wasn’t ok at either.
As long as the performers are giving it their all and not phoning it in then they don’t deserve that. You want to cheer/boo what the performers in the ring are doing fine. Counting down the clock the last 10 seconds of every minute within a match or chanting “CM Punk” or “JBL” or anyone else’s name like they do on RAW after WM is nothing but disrespectful to the performers inside the ring and anyone else who wants to enjoy the match.

That was in my opinion a hell of a match put on by Rollins and Ziggler and the way the crowd shat on it was a ing shame.

I found that Rumble countdown and buzzer sound from the crowd to be extremely annoying and disrespectful. Every. Single. Minute. And sometimes mid-minute! I heard them make the buzzer sound at 22 or 23 even.
If they wanna push Ziggler, stop having Drew interfere in every single match. Heels CAN win clean, believe it or not.

I still think Ziggler is buns but He didn't deserve to have his match crapped on like that, thought it was pretty great.

I was at the show and hated the idiots in the crowd that did the Rumble countdown. It was funny the first two times but after they took down the clock it just got worse.
I think they lost the crowd after Reigns/Lashley because Rusev/AJ wasn't a crowd captivating match.
It also didnt help things that the main event started off slow and didn't hook the crowd right away.
Personally, I though the match was horrendous and a reflection of the show overall. Had absolutely awful booking and a headscratcher of a finish.

They both put on a show stealing match, deserving of the main event slot. I hate when fans try to make the show about them. It's come to be expected on Raw the night directly after WM. But we're 3 months past Mania. Stop trying to hijack a show.

If the crowd chants ruin a whole show for you, I feel like you need to re-evaluate you being a wrestling fan.
Give them something that will suck them in and you won’t hear these random chants. The crowd was fully invested in AJ/Rusev and Bryan/Bludgeon Bros. We didn’t hear any random chants during those matches.
Give them a main event in 2018 that includes Dolph Ziggler at the end of a 4 hour show, and add to it an Iron Man match where it was telegraphed from the beginning that there’d be heavy interference in the outcome, and of course the fans will tune out.
I like what Dolph has been doing the last month, but most fans still know him as a guy who’s been booked as a looser for years. They simply were not sucked into the match as noting mattered until the end.

I honestly think had they left it, it wouldn’t have lasted the entire match. That said, the match itself was average at best. I agree that the chants were terrible/disrespectful, but let’s not pretend that a five-star classic was going down and the crowd didn’t give a crap.

I don't think it was the 30 minute main event match that tuned them out, it was the fact that the WWE put the clock on the screen, fans seen it, and counted down like they do at the Royal Rumble because it always gets such a strong reaction.
If the WWE hadn't put a clock on that screen for that match, not one fan would have done the Rumble count down because there would have been no incentive to do it.

My 2 cents: The show was a 4 hour trainwreck that drained the crowd after the Owens/Strowman match, and the match was not that good to begin with, which left the crowd to entertain themselves.
I hated the chants, but didn't enjoy the match either.
***EDIT*** You know what, the more I think about it, too bad if the crowd crap on the show. Maybe just maybe, if WWE gave fans reason to care anything they wouldn't act like asses. Start to finish that was one of the worst booked shows ever, and one of the most mind boggling.
Orton coming back...awesome......then attack Jeff and not with an RKO? Made no sense.
Carmella retaining over Asuka yet again? Made no sense.
Balor v. Corbin on the main card, but a 6 man tag table on the kickoff......Made no sense.
Book Ziggler/Rollins in a 30 min iron-man match (even though their match 2 weeks ago was almost 40 minutes), with the obvious tie/overtime outcome; only to end it seconds into the overtime.....MADE NO SENSE.
I probably won't go to another WWE show for a long time. crap like this makes me hate wrestling, and honestly I can't tell you the last time I had fun at a WWE show was.
