Um, no one is comparing Benoit and Vick, you get the Benoit lovers as the 12 year old kids on this site, and you have NO IDEA if Vick actually killed a dog, you werent there.

Killing of dogs • "Vick agrees and stipulates that these dogs all died as a result of the collective efforts of Peace, Phillips and Vick."
He admitted to it dude. I mean Benoit was kinda a role model before all this so I can see people having trouble beliving him, but Vick was a piece of crapand now hes a snitch. Come on

I don't know about you guys but I listen to alot of sports radio during the week and I am sick of hearing just about every black caller call up the station and make excuses for this bunghole. Maybe it's just a coincidence when I listen to the sports talk shows. I hear things like: "How is that different than hunting?" "It's no different than dog racing" "It's his property and his dogs" "Alot of people are involved with dog fighting. It's just the media trying to tear him down"
Guys like Stephan Marbury and Clinton Portis just don't get it. Vick has been ripped apart for the last 2 months in the media and they still come out and say stupid things like that.
I heard one caller say that the majority of the population in Atlanta is African American and that the judge better realize how much backlash will happen and the consequences in Atlanta if he comes down too hard on Vick. The guy frickin tortured dogs! He choked them to death and drowned them. Think if that was your dog. I would want to kill him if I saw him.
I'm not saying all black people are supporting him but it sure seems like almost everyone I hear is. This African American lady told me month ago at work "You know he didn't do that How's a million dollar QB gonna waste his time in dog fighting?"
Bull **** man! Just plain bull ****. And the NAACP defending him is crap too.

I know exactly what you mean. I listen to sports radio as well. And around here, its ridiculous. My personal favorite was when one black caller compared dog fighting to the UFC. John Kincade (radio show host) laid into that guy.
Its amazing, and sad even, the lengths at which some people will go to defend the actions of their fallen brethren no matter how obvious it is of their guilt. That can be said of all races.
And the things is, for myself, being a former fan of Mike Vick's, with this whole plea deal hes accepted, you just know he's gonna get off lighter than what he should really get prison term wise.
Lets put the deaths of the dogs aside for a moment...
You mean to tell me, that Mike Vick bankrolled the money for all bets, yet he never placed nor won any money from bets of his own? Bull ****.

Even though we don't know Vick personally, and some of his actions (weed bottle, middle finger) etc makes me believe hes not the best human, but him going up and talking without notes or a prepared statement is a good move by him and hopefully he sincere and means this.
Obviously, he didnt kill or rape a human, but he still broke a federal law and needs to be punished, but he does not deserve a lifetime a ban, a gang beating, death etc. Let the man pay for his crime and let it be.
I just really hope he's sincere, obviously, you find Jesus when your going to prison but with the talent he has, he needs to get his ass in order and get back to the NFL whenever and just make that money and be the role model that he should have been in the beginning.

I say he's sorry that he got caught. I don't think he sorry. If he wouldn't have gotten in trouble he would still be torturing dogs on this day Aug. 27 instead of saying how "sorry" he is. Anyone who does stuff like that doesn't change overnight. He got busted. He's sorry he got busted.
Now certain people on the radio and TV are sucking on Vick's dick just because he didn't go up there with a written statement or any notes. Anyone could go up in front of the public and say the same cliche stuff like he said. "Im sorry" "I blame nobody but myself" "I am not here to point fingers" "I will have time to think about my actions" "I am going to change"
It's the same as a sports player saying "We believed in ourselve when nobody else did" "We knew we could win this" "We never once gave up" Our backs were against the wall" "We just need to play better and go out there and execute" "
Hopefully he donates to animal shelters and gives money to orgazinations that stop people like him from doing what he did.
I hope he gets 5 years in jail and he gets raped night after night.........................................................................................................DOGGY STYLE!!

Well I can guarantee you 100% that he is sorry now, is he sorry because what he did was wrong or what he did and got caught? No one will know that until he comes out of the clink and what he does from today til he goes to jail. He needs to focus on PETA and donating money and making his image look good, I mean Martha Stewart came out of jail and got a TV show and all this. Now I am not comparing insider trading to a rackettering, but he can do it and considering that he has more talent than 98% of the guys in the NFL, he needs to wake the up and change his life, quit hanging around with knuckle heads and get back to the NFL eventually. You ask anyone, and 99% of the people will say that Pete Rose deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, and I think he does too, but what this man did was WORSE to his sport than what Vick did to the NFL. Now killing dogs is a thousand times worse than gambling BUT when it comes to their jobs, Pete Rose undermined baseball and gambled ON HIS OWN team, he deserved his ban and all that, but Vick deserves punishment...thats it, not death or banishment for life.

I am not a fan on Vick in any way, but I don't know if he deserves to be banned for life from the NFL. If he actually grows up and betters himself somehow, then I think he should be allowed to play sometime in the future.

I was watching the Bengals/ Falcons game last night. And I heard a few racial things. What the does his race have to do with the craphe did? I got pissed and changed the channel, because it is absolutely ridiculous. No race card they will pull should save Vick from jail.

If it was Manning or Brady, they would be torn apart more than Vick has, this has nothing to do with race...maybe the supporting of him through difference races, but if it was a white role model type..who hasnt gotten into many issues like Vick...it would be a disaster, Owen Wilson type disaster

Its not really a race thing, but if it was Manning or Brady they wouldnt get nearly as much **** towards them Are you serious? You...you cant be. Vick could be hot ing pink and he still did what he did. Race does not matter. Although, if it were a white player, it would be worse. Since Vick is black, they gotta watch what they say. If they were white, all the big guns would be out.
