I hope the Cubs do win the Central because if they don't im gonna be the first one laughing at all these August 2nd Playoff bound fans. All of these? tell me Asia, living in New York City or wherever a Houston Astros fan like yourself resides in, where do you encounter cubs fans on a daily basis? or are you just trolling the cubs.com message boards? cuz if that's what you're reffering to, im sure if i browse asstros.com i can find a plethora of idiots... jason jennings, woody williams ftw! cubs have a 300 mil dollar payroll woe is the astros who spent 10 mil less than the cubs. wahI have alot of friends who live in Chicago Nick. just because i live in NY doesn't mean the only people i know are people who live in my state. I also travel for alot of Astros games a Season so don't use the "omgz u live in nyc s0 ur n0t a reel f@n" B.S. that you used on Jimmy. Im not defending the Astros fans, we are just as dumb if not more than the Cubs fans on MLB.Com Forums, however its the Cubs fans that think August 2nd is the end of the Regular Season all of a sudden when even Sweet Lou himself is saying theres still baseball to be played. but then again if the Cubs do collapse you'll just go into the usual "aww man i knew this would happen" phase after every time the Cubs blow it or choke.

She should be so embarassed about her outburst with Clemens. yeah because whats his face doesn't crap his pants during every game when the Red Sox do something good...not jerry remy, that other clown that announces with him. Who cares, she's a Yankee announcer she announces in the Yankees favor, the Red Sox announcers root for the Red Sox, the White Sox announcers root for the White Sox....thats life. You can't come on here and criticize somebody for doing what EVERY announce team in BASEBALL does for the team that they announce for.

Hazel Mae, Kathryn Tappen and Erin Andrews. 10 seconds total, 3 happy endings I told you about that time I was in a bar in Springfield and Hazel Mae came in with a posse of Asian midgets and started throwing down Irish Car Bombs right? That was ridiculous.

28$ million dollars for a guy who got booed off the mound. Insanely dumb heheheheh what is insanley dumb is throwing that kinda money at a 44 year old thinking he can save the day. Dont worry, the Yankees will have a longer offseason this year, they can work on the pitching Yeah, I can already tell this is one of those "debates" where you're just going to act like a dick, so whatever. Your last comment just proves what I've always said all along, that being the fact that you're as big of a homer on this board as you insult everyone else as being. Bottom line is I'd rather have Clemens this year than no Hughes or Chamberlain next year. The dollar amount on Clemens' contract means nothing to the Yankees.

Whoever thought Roger Clemens was going to be lights out was gearing up for disappointment. I figured a high 3.00's ERA for the season(around a 3.85), 7-8 wins or so... Some of his starts have been really good, some have been not so good. 28 Million Dollars is for the name, not the production. There is not a starting pitcher in baseball worth 28 million dollars. Not Jake Peavy, not Roy Halladay at his best, not your boy Josh Beckett... no one. I'd need to see Steve Nebraska-like production(see the movie "The Scout" now if you don't know that name) to warrant that type of money.
The fans have every right in the world to boo Roger Clemens or any other player if they don't meet their expectations. The main problem is that 95% of Yankee fans are bumbling morons who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. Their expectations were probably a low 2.00's ERA, and winning every start. That is simply not possible in the American League... especially for a 44 year old man, past his prime. He is still a very productive pitcher when he is on top of his game... but you can't go to the ballpark expecting the Roger Clemens of 1986... or even 1996 for that matter.

Exactly, I'd rather lose money and give people like Clemens huge contracts rather than have to lose prospects having to go out and get somebody.

The Scout is a great movie, Clemens should have had in his contract an entrance like Nebraska had in Mexico

Right now is about the time where Ralpho will come in and agree with Brian, even though he tried to insult me when I pretty much said the exact same thing, lol.

Im not saying they suck because unlike the Astros they have less holes and have pitching besides one person. They spent the money needed and its paying off unlike Drayton who is a cheap bastard and sits on guys like Burke,Lane,Everett and Ensberg for years instead of upgrading. Like i said im not bitter because you guys do have the better team and i have no problem admitting that.

Nah I wont agree cuz my point was the Yankees should have fixed their rotation in the offseason, I dont care what the Yankees spend their money on, but going into the season with Pavano/Igawa/Mussina was just a disaster, I mean I thought Pettite would have been garbage and thank god for the Yankees he wasnt.
Thats all, if the Yankees didnt have 3 Joe Jerkoffs in the roation, that wouldnt have to spend 28$ on a guy whos ERA is gonna come close to 5 when its all through

While i dislike the Cubs and Cards i will always love Nick and Krush if not only for the fact we all hate the White Sox. When we can come together like that, all is right in the world.
