TRW, I'm sure you'd like this, if you haven't seen it yet already. All about Mark Teixeira.

Anger issues in a WF topic puzzle me. i'll remember that next time wf doesn't like an article you write and you get TICKED! I wasn't swearing my head off, though, fella. I was mildly bemused and disappointed, but I didn't want to burn up anyone's wrestling toy collection for it. I mean, there's nothing more I kinda want to do right now that light a Chris Benoit figure aflame, but that's besides the point.

tonights yankees game is a game that they need to win, granted, they need to win as many games possible but if they win tonight, there is a good possibility that they may gain ground in the east as the red sox are playing a double header today. i know that its tough to win games against the red sox but i dont think the red sox will win both games today. so with a yankees win, they will gain ground in the east. time will tell i guess

It would also be nice to see Chicago find a way to win one of those games, they have been so bad lately maybe they are due and will have a good series. Seattle has to lose eventually, last night was ridiculous. Jeff Weaver has no right winning 4 games in a row. Unbelievable. It just goes to show you how hot Seattle has been, the Yankees have been playing .750 ball since the break and we are still 3 games back in the loss column.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Braves have designated closer Bob Wickman for assignment. This is quite a surprise, but if the Braves don't think Wickman is good enough to close any longer, it's likely the right move. It's doubtful he'd be of use in any other role. The Braves will likely go to a closer-by-committee for now, with Rafael Soriano and Peter Moylan becoming the favorite for saves. Octavio Dotel, who is out with a shoulder strain, could take over as the primary closer next month.

Damn, I am surprised by that, especially since Soriano hasn't been too hot either. Honestly, just demote him, because we can use the warm fat body.

in other news, TRW commits suicide after learning bob wickman's fate. don't worry, i'm sure he'll create 15 threads about it and sticky them all so we know just how he feels about it.
