Clay Buchholz is compared to a right handed Hole Camels.
I'll take it.
With Zambrano getting 18.5$, theres no doubt Santana gets 22+

Brandon Webb is SICK. 38 scoreless innings in a row now. That's what, the equivalent to 4+ shutouts in a row?
What's the top-5 look like? I think Webb is the closest anyone has been to Hershiser in a long time.

Tell them NO sometimes This was supposed to be one of those times where Gagne could pitch the 9th so Pap can get rest and he still doesnt get the job done. This is not the time to be blowing games. Gag Me wouldnt even have saved the 8-4 daygame. Is there any way they can cut him? Either that, or the team should just get together and beat the $#!+ out of him behind closed doors.

Francona should have let Gagne pitch with the 4 run lead earlier, but no Gagne should be pitching in the 6-7th innings to get his crapright, he has yet to do that.

The Red Sox are just a recycling bin for last year's Dodgers garbage.

I don't understand how you guys can actually get all over Francona for bringing Gagne in for the save opportunity. You make it sound like it's a foreign method of bringing in your setup man to pitch in a save situation when your closer needs the game off. Francona went with what should have been his best available option in his bullpen. This was the exact reason the team got Gagne in the first place. It's not Francona's fault Gagne has sucked, but you can't just expect him to stop using him in close games altogether. If he had to do it all over again, I'm sure he still would have trusted Gagne.

i made this joke to my dad the other night at the game when he came into welcome to the jungle, i said "they're playing the wrong GNR song for him, they need to go with "knockin' on heaven's door" because that's the only person that has faith in him now, god"

It is Franconas fault that Gagne has sucked, why do you comment if you havent seen the games?
Theres a 4 run lead, you use your 2 best relievers, game over. Why even bother with Papelbon? Save him for later, give Gagne the easy close.
Gagne should have been eased into the earlier innings til he got his stuff ready, but he has cost the Red Sox 3 games this week, 3 games taht would have put the AL East lead at 8, but no Francona keeps putting him in close games when it is obvious he does not have it. He needs to work out his kinks in the earlier innings.
Papelbon got the 1 out in the 8th, you are up 4, let Gagne finish it, or some other scrubs and save Papelbon.
You guys blame Torre for stupid moves, but Francona beats him nightly.

This happened with Lidge, and Gagne isnt even a closer.
You take him out of his pressure role, let him get right, and put him back. It's been done, except for Francona and Gagne. God knows why

It's not like Francona just decided he wasn't going to use either of them for no reason at all. I have no problem blaming Torre when he makes intellectually- disabled decisions, but blaming Francona for how crappy Gagne has been for you guys is ridiculous. Do you see me crapping all over Torre when Farnsworthless would come in for the 8th inning and give up 5 runs? Gagne was probably the best option Francona had in the bullpen for the 9th inning. Do you want him to overwork Papelbon to the point where you risk having a repeat of last September?
