I like it that you think I will actually be able to find the chase figures on the pegs before someone else sntaches them up to resell elsewhere. If there just regular figures, I could order them off of rsc. Now I can't because they are store exclusive and there "chase" figures double bonus !!! (Sarcasm) If that were the case, I know there would be complaints about RSC being overpriced and/or shipping charges. One way or another, there would be something the forum would complain about. Just keep an eye out for the recently found in your state, just stop by when you are going to the store and eventually you'll find them. For all we know these could be in cases more than just 1 per case. Give the concept a chance to take off before craping on it. This may be more effective than the completely seperate exclusive lines since they are included in the standard elite assortment. To be honest I would much rather pay Ringside’s prices than put money in the pocket of the neck beards.

Big fat zero. Scalpers are just the excuse some people use if someone buys a figure before them I live in a town full of scalpers. There’s three rival scalpers plus a ton of collectors, so don’t tell me it’s some magic tooth fairy bs What wrestling figure(s) is the Triangle of Terror scalping?

If I was Ringside I would be pissed. Arguably the most popular figures are first time in line figures and Mattel is making them exclusives to stores. Therefore Ringside when they buy their cases are getting shafted as they're getting "base" figures that usually end up having to be sold for net to nothing when they usually raise the prices for these to make up the difference. Congrats, ya shafted your #1 online retailer.

Can’t say I’m too thrilled that Dunne and Wolfe are exclusives. Oh well, I guess it keeps me hitting up Targets.

Hmmm very interesting. I wonder if they will be available on line to like the Shark figure.Only interested in Wolfe & Dunne but my Targets have only had E56 since March.

Based on every other Walmart exclusive that ends up sitting on the shelves in my area for some reason, this can only mean one thing.
Papa’s finally getting a Bob Backlund.

I'm just at the lowest point I've been with Mattel since 2010. I've lost my passion for the line. This doesn't help. Ditto. I still LOVE the figures, but it's just becoming so difficult to keep up with all these exclusives - not to mention expensive too. It's getting to the stage where it's stopped being fun and I'm seriously thinking about stopping altogether.

Oh FFS, Mattel... this is getting ridiculous. Rather than "enticing" customers, I'd wager you're actually driving a lot of them away... Yeah I’m out. 20+ years of collecting wwe, done with this shit.

If this is their way of getting out more figures that might not work with a wider release, then so be it. I understand the frustration of overseas collectors if they don't end up getting some of these but the alternative might be that they didn't get released at all. They released an Adam Rose elite figure en masse... worldwide. There are many other examples of figures getting out by them that would fit that alternative category. This “genius” business strategy will only serve eBay sellers who want to extort collectors.

Yeah there's plenty of figures they released that were head scratchers but apparently something has changed and they feel they need to switch up their tactics when it comes to some of these names that might not be hot sellers. I didn't say it was a great strategy or say I agreed with it, I simply said "so be it" and tried to look at the positive that they're at least releasing these figures rather than putting them on the back burner for a series 4 years down the road.

That whole gimmick was huge for a while, he was on tv and kids probably loved the whole entrance and stuff. Mattel releasing chase figures does not only serve ebay sellers, its ridiculous to say that, if a figure sells, it serves Mattel, thats all they want, profit, they dont care what the buyer does with it, if Mattel sell figures they couldnt care less who buys them

It's getting to the stage where it's stopped being fun and I'm seriously thinking about stopping altogether. My problem is the diversity in characters. I’m a huge fan of late 90s WCW and ECW and we’re not getting any of those guys. I feel most of the Legends we are getting are repeats. There are definitely upgrades we can make or add, like that new Dusty, but it’s turned into the current roster where we largely have everyone they can make and we’re just getting different attires of the same faces. Which largely makes the NXT figures about the only thing I can consistently get excited about. Which then brings us to the issue of them being exclusive. So now you’re making the Legends and NXT figures exclusive and harder to get/find. I collect a ton of other lines, Marvel Legends and the Star Wars Black Series included. Both lines do exclusives, damn near all of which I’ve been able to grab online for retail price. I just walked into Walgreens for the very first time to try and find the exclusive Veers figure yesterday and I found 6 of them. I just don’t get why Hasbro has so much better of a grip on this stuff than Mattel. Silver Surfer and Thing were Walgreens exclusives and I had two of each shipped to my front door. Both amazing figures and took absolutely no work to obtain. I have no clue how international fans keep up. You’re paying more for the figures to begin with. Then for stuff you can’t find you have to pay for crazy shipping on top of those prices. It’s not like they’re Figuarts. They’re not premium format figures. It’s just an roi deal of is the work/money worth what they are putting out and for me that answer is mostly no, at least not anymore.

Great my walmarts and targets just stocked elite 59. Also no HOC series 2 or flashback series 2 yet. So I may have a shot at these in 2020.

Mattel releasing chase figures does not only serve ebay sellers, its ridiculous to say that, if a figure sells, it serves Mattel, thats all they want, profit, they dont care what the buyer does with it, if Mattel sell figures they couldnt care less who buys them There are other cases early on like Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Dh Smith and those types and then there’s the whole NXT run through the 40 series where they did Finn, Sami, KO, Asuka, Sasha etc. That’s the level a Pete Dunne is on or the entire line-ups for the NXT line and Hall of Champions lines which are also US store exclusive. Why place exclusivity on characters that fans have been waiting for? Precisely they don’t care that the secondary market is broken beyond repair... yet they seem to like to dress these announcements up with this “Elite Squad” rubbish, like they’ve done the fans and collectors favours and this was “THE ONLY” way we could have these figures, that’s true for The Shark figure and that Sherri one but not prominent and popular stars like Aliester Black, Andrade Cien Almas, Pete Dunne, Gargano and Ciampa and I wouldn’t expect to find Backlund or new to line faces like Woolfe in that position either, it’s ridiculous to say that. This is what offends me and many other previously devout collectors.

I’m only needing Sherri...maybe Backlund. I’m glad Sherri is at Walmart instead of target as I feel target is slower with stocking exclusives. Still a big meh on store exclusive chase figures.
Wanted a WM7 Sherri but this one will still stand nicely next to the HOF Macho King.

At the very worst, these should be no harder to find than the HOF Lawler and Steele figures that were shortpacked. I'm just not seeing the argument that store exclusive figures are hard to find or at scalper prices. I've seen copies of HOC 1 and Flashback 1 on Amazon for below retail, and the most recent HOC and Flashback lines can be found on ebay for at or slightly above retail. Obviously that doesn't help international buyers, though.

My Walmarts SUCK. Like 'miss an entire line' type suck. So this is not very good news for me, as I collect legends and I have been foaming at the mouth to get Sherri and Backlund. This is some bullsheet.

It is night and day when you compare how easy it is overall to find marvel legends in store, even exclusives. Mattel is slapping wrestling fans in the face and laughing with this crap. "Oh you think distribution for wwe figures is bad ? Ok lets have chase figures with stores exclusives to make it even more difficult. My local target store still has elite 56 clogging the pegs, I am never gonna see any of those "chase figures". Maybe i will see the walmart chase ones they seem to sell better there. The problem is walmart and target are so unreliable that i just order a bunch off of rsc when i can. I want to buy the sherri and backlund figures, but i don't have a lot of confidence i will be able to find them locally. Target is the absolute worst i have no confidence them at all.

I want to poop on this, but I guess I'll wait until it's actually a problem to find them. Pete Dunne will probably be a B to get, but who really knows who he is besides superfans? Scalpers. And i can just hear them licking their lips already. Dammitall, Mattel, way to be part of the problem.
