Anyone else hoping Hasbro get the licence back the next time it’s on offer? I think I’m done with Mattel now. That ring ‘thing’ just sums up exactly where Mattel are at with their handling of the WWE licence at present.
From day one to now it’s all been weird attire choices for highly anticipated elite figures, glaring attire omissions, glaring character omissions, the killing of basics and BP’s, the sheer amount of exclusives (not to mention most of the exclusives being the figs people actually want). Sizing issues (Ciampa, Nakamura, AJ etc...), International market is dead. Some very strange and annoying choices/decisions made. It all feels half arsed now.
Other than articulation and proportioning I don’t Mattel have really excelled as much as others seem to think. It’s been a weird ride but I’m ready for something new now.

Yes Repo Man, i was thinking Hasbro, the black series star wars figs are pretty awesome now, as are Marvel Legends, bring it on Hasbro, dig deep and win that license

When I first clicked on this and saw the first box image of this I was excited, because I thought this was going to be Mattel’s answer to the Jakks BCA Monster Ring. But then after seeing the other pictures that excitement went away.
I don’t collect the 12 inch figures anyways, so it doesn’t matter to me.

HAHAHAHA OMG it's not even a ring! It's like that rope thing that forms the line at the bank! Mattel is on drugs. What a joke. The sooner this company loses the license the better. Bring on NECA, Diamond Select, ANYBODY. Mattel is losing it. I have a feeling they know theyre losing it, maybe theyve been told they will be already. Hence, them trying to milk it for all its worth quickly Could explain the sudden push to get exclusive lines with any and all retailers possible.

This is terrible. I can't wait till my son is home from school so we can laugh at this together.

It's fine for what it is. The 12 inch line is geared towards very young kids, and making a full ring big enough for those figures probably isn't realistic. Not only would the cost be signficant, the box would be so big that there's zero chance any retailer would carry it.
With that said, my toilet paper tube and elastic band on an upside down laundry basket wrestling ring circa 1991 looked better than this. But it's not a product I'd have any interest in either way.

This the single most Schyttist concept for a ring I have ever seen. Ever. EVER.
You can post any picture, gif or video saying “Mattels insperation for this ring” and whatever has been posted - will still be infinitely better then what Mattel has produced.

Did you ever play with the WCW Nitro $9.99 ring? It was the biggest piece of crapring ever. Hollow inside that warped out of the box with shitty peg hole turnbuckles and the tightest ropes. After 1 week of assembly, the turnbuckles warped the ring into a bowl.

How the hell does this cost 20 dollars? I really do not see how this is any more than 5 bucks.

I'm gonna have to disagree. The Goldberg and jinder rings with taller posts would work just fine. Dumb down the quality to that of the $20 rings and maybe charge $35. Infinitely better than this shit.

First of all, this is not even a ring, the packaging is way to big for Just Straws and ring posts, this is something i'd expect to see at the Dollar tree, and WHY IN THE WORLD IS IT 19.99 FOR JUST RING POSTS AND STARWS, THAT'S ALMOST THE PRICE OF AN ELITE
