Haha this would have been better though as the ropes are actual ropes, and not ridiculius straws

Anybody saying “this is for children” isn’t understanding that a child wouldn’t even want to play with this crap.
Any kid over the age of two would open up this box and immediately ask “where’s the rest of it?”

I'd just like to point out, that 12 in, is 30.48 cm, not 40. It does seem like a bit of an over-reaction, lol... stuff like this is primarily for younger kids anyway. As long as they're still making awesome Elite figures, everything's good. Yeah, they're still making them... and making most of them exclusive to US stores. True... it's the same if you collect lines like Star Wars or Marvel Legends though - lots of series and store exclusives that aren't available in the UK. Unfortunately, we're probably too small a part of the overall market to matter...

Crappy ring ropes and post with garbage cheap made figures. I tell you what they should do...they should kill this line and the Monster and Zombie line, and just put that money into Elites! Oh, wait, you mean that's NOT how any of it works? Really though, you realize that they get rid of this 12 inch line they just go to another 12 inch line. It's what toy companies like to do now. They try to get every ounce of mileage out of a property as they can. It's like that with any of the BIG toy companies.

Also, for those doomsaying the Mattel contract and thinking that the license is in danger. There's only one other place that WWE would do business with toy company wise due to the size of the company (they aren't going back to Jakks, they aren't going to NECA...) and that would be Hasbro. But keep this in mind. Hasbro has, right now, Marvel (which they pour so much into) Star Wars, Transformers, Nerf, My Little Pony, GI Joe (and there are rumors that they are going to start revisiting a lot more of that). So, with ALL of those lines do you think WWE is going to want a company that might not be able to put the priority that they put into Star Wars and Marvel (which like it or not, are bigger properties) Mattel can put more of their resources into the WWE line. And they actually do.

Mattel have HUGE lines, hotwheels, barbie, monster high, DC, fisher price, jurassic park to name a few, none of which affect the amount of resources used for the WWE line, just going by your own theory on budgets

I'm just saying, Mattel and WWE are going to be in bed for a LONG time so everyone can put away the tinfoil hats. Do you see the protos and the figures Mattel are putting out in the Elite line? Does that look like a company coming to an end of their run? Now, remember Jakks' offerings? Mattel is killing it. And trust me, it get MUCH worse. Thank your lucky stars we have Mattel, and Bill.

Most, not all of the elites are fantastic, but, basics are shocking, i hope Hasbro do get the license and show them how its done, but yeah, elites are mostly great

I tend to think those lines are marketed more towards kids and casual buyers. The Elite figures however (ie. the "collector's line") are still fantastic and I doubt Hasbro - or any other mainstream company - could do much better. Plus, I'm not sure how many fans would fancy "starting again" with a new company, after investing so much time/effort/money in the Mattel line... remember the failure of the Mattel Legends line and how long it took some people to "come on board" after being with Jakks for so long?

I mean, sure, the Basics/Battlepack figures aren't as good as they used to be - but (as MDT said) they're trying to keep the costs down with Basics, so sacrifices have to be made... there are still some good figures in there. And the Elite figures (for us "adults") are, for the most part, still fantastic.

Like I have said before mattel makes good wwe figures that you can never find in store. Getting there product into stores is like pulling teeth. Meanwhile hasbro is killing it with there marvel legends line if you compare the two. The quality is on par or better than wwe mattel line and you can actually find them in stores. The only marvel legends i bought on ebay in the last 3 years where ones i didn't want the baf pieces for and still paid less than retail prices.

Next Mattel will release an empty box and market it as an Imagination ring. Wonder if you could use the Slurpee straws for velvet ropes for various celebrity-themed setups? Lmfao

When I first clicked on this and saw the first box image of this I was excited, because I thought this was going to be Mattel’s answer to the Jakks BCA Monster Ring. But then after seeing the other pictures that excitement went away. I don’t collect the 12 inch figures anyways, so it doesn’t matter to me. I thought the same thing. Man are kids going to be disappointed to have this for Christmas.
