I know most of us collectors could care less about the 12" line, but I'll likely be picking up that Kane, since i'm a big Kane fan You're wrong, i couldn't care less about it, could care less suggests one cares at all in the first place lol |

This “ring” would be perfect for those big, brutal vibrating WCW figures from the 90s. For some reason my mom would always take the Kevin Nash and hide it in her dresser drawer... Probably cause the toy blew out its quad and she doesn't want you to play with broken toys. |

HAHAHAHA OMG it's not even a ring! It's like that rope thing that forms the line at the bank! Mattel is on drugs. What a joke. The sooner this company loses the license the better. Bring on NECA, Diamond Select, ANYBODY. Mattel is losing it. I have a feeling they know theyre losing it, maybe theyve been told they will be already. Hence, them trying to milk it for all its worth quickly Don't Mattel have the license until 2020 though? Btw, why is the box soooo big? I believe so, but 14 months in business is no time, so hopefully its not renewed Please Hasbro take over license, I want to be actually able to find stuff in stores. No more of this chase figures, and short packed garbage. If a switch where to happen i think an announcement should be coming in 6 months or so. My guess is sadly mattel will announce they have renewed there deal around that same time frame. |

The current deal ends in 2021. It was going to end in 2019 but last year Mattel announced that they had renewed the deal for another 2 years.
The distribution of this line is terrible and the increase in all these damn store exclusives are making it worse IMO. If they want to do exclusives then make them online exclusives where everyone has a shot at buying the exclusive figures.

Now that i've recovered from my initial comment and reaction at 1am, i'm still baffled at how this got the green light, and for anything above $5 is ridiculous.
The only possible good use for this, would be to use it on a custom stage design. Other than that...

As i said in other threads, Mattel cant be blamed for distribution, Mattel can be blamed for shoddy product and over priced product, which is the reason some of you feel they are to blame for not finding new stuff in the stores. If a line stops or slows down selling, the store, Target for example, arent going to order anymore of it, if its rotting on the pegs, eventually they wont ask Mattel for more But the reason product rots is because of the quality and/or price, the reason you dont see new stuff in stores is because folks arent buying like they used to Its stale now, mattel have had the license since 2011 and have been given no incentive to improve things, come on Hasbro |

at the end of the day, it's a product made for the 12' toy line (something of which is made for very young kids), i'd say it's not good and move on, i wouldn't get bent out of shape over a product that was clearly designed for children in mind, because quite frankly; it's not something worth harping over |

I feel sorry for the poor kid or parent who buys this thing and thinks that they are getting a ring. To be fair it is not exactly clear on what this is on the packaging (which I guess could change) and if you are a parent who does not research toys which most probably do not. It is totally understandable that they would expect a wrestling ring to actually come with a base!
Just imagine some kid waking up on Christmas morning after asking for their first wrestling ring and then they get this. That really sucks man and I hope that it does not happen.

Was really trying to stay away from this thread but man every time I see that "ring", it actually annoys me more and more.
I get the whole trying to make it affordable for parents, staying it budget, yadda yadda. BUT, this is just terrible. You shouldn't really cut corners on a scale where people are ALREADY getting the bare minimum. I would never buy this at $20, or even $15 (or 10!) Because this ring sub par. The figures are already what, 15 bucks? I would shell out 25 for a decent ring if they at least included a flat piece of plastic (as the "canvas"), 4 turnbuckle (ONE piece, like the basic ring turnbuckle with MOLDED WWE logo, to eliminate stickers.) and 4 elastic ropes. That's it. MSRP it for 24-27.99.
