I did the unthinkable and bought a Stone Cold skull head figure. I would never have paid retail, but I couldn't pass on it for only $1 at a bargain store. Being a huge Stone Cold mark, it is the only one of these figures I would buy. I really like that figure as well and bought it at walmart for full price. The problem is whatever walmart or target store could not sell it and sent there and wrote it off as a loss. That is the definition of a failed toy line.

because who honestly cares about Big Show at this point? It was an example... the point being we always get figures with wrong parts cos they cheap on new tooling yet these zombies get unique tooling for every single figure. If you don't like Big Show then anorexic Kevin Owens basics can be another example. your point about Big Show and Owens doesn't particularly work in this case considering Kevin Owen's basic figures usually give him a gut and Big Show is well... you do the math, and besides. Ever since Bill stopped overseeing the Basic production line, that was when i stopped caring about purchasing Basics and focus solely on elite figures

I bought The Undertaker one with the idea of re-painting the head. I don't know why that head hasn't come out prior. Never did though.
The zombie line, per Bill, has its own budget. Each line does. They get unique tooling because one series is released a year unlike basics, elites, etc. That have multiples per year. Bill is also not in charge of how much Mattel wants to spend on each line, just making sure they stay within the allotted budget for said line. Without being there and doing the statistics and math on profit margins per cost to make/distribute etc... I dunno how one can think they know what's best for Mattel's bottom line revenue. Its a product for children.
I would have loved these as a kid, same as I loved all the weird versions on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I didn't just want the regular Michelangelo. I wanted surfer Mike, prehistoric Mike, Monster Mike, Wacky Mike etc.

Well I am going to disagree with you there. I bought a few of all my favorite wrestlers, but almost no one else did. Walmart and target had to mark these down to get rid of them, and then walmart got new ones in only to mark them down 6 months later. I can say quite confidently kids did not want or buy these. 5 below can't sell these at 1/3 there original price. The line was a nice concept at first, but the demand was not there at all. So what you're saying is that kids don't want them because your stores around you are discounting them? Mattel are still making them, so I'm going to disagree with you. Obviously someone is buying them.

I kinda dig this line. I was able to pick up all of series 2 from 5 below and now I’m getting ready to start picking up S3, I really like the Charlotte and Kane. It’s a fun and unique twist. Hopefully we get another series or two out of it. A Zombie New Day box set would be awesome.

Doesn't goodwill get everything by donation? I thought they did, but I don't know. If so that's a little different scenario.

My Kmart cannot keep these stocked outside of Finn. They sell like hotcakes like the retros and retro ring there.

I think these are cool and hope they keep making them. Would love Becky, Bliss, Bret Hart, Diesel, Velveteen Dream. So many different options here.

I’m only guessing that it makes kids want variations of whatever superstar they have as a zombie form. It doesn’t bother me that this like exists. I think it’s miles better than flexforce or those other hideous figures mattel has made in the past.
