I’ll never understand the “I haven’t watched in X amount of time, but let me tell you how bad it is every week”.
Think about that for a moment.

Just speaking for myself, because I am one of those people. I'll still occasionally check out segments or flip over before I inevitably get annoyed and turn away (or fast forward the next day at 8x speed on the DVR to see the segment order); I can't remember the last time I tuned in and was able to make it through an episode or even multiple segments. I listen to the Observer radio recaps so I'm still in the loop with all the shoddy booking.

Well, as a journalist/columnist myself I spend $11.99 a month to support wrestling journalism/anaylsis and 10+ entertaining podcasts a week. I'd pay that much for Bryan and Vinny's retro Raw/Nitro recaps and the Granny podcast alone. And Raw isn't free. It's part of a $150+ cable package. EDIT: To show that I'm fair, I heard the end of Raw was good this past week so I checked out the final segment. It was, in fact, pretty good! But with so many better wrestling options available these days -- Rev Pro! Stardom! NJPW! AJPW! Progress! NXT! -- I'm not gonna waste my time on a show I don't like 90 percent of the time. I'm clearly not alone, because Raw hit a record low 2 million viewers this past week, so it's not just me.

And if I was just going by hearsay, I certainly wouldn't be going online to rant about how bad something is. But to each their own.

We're arguing over semantics here and could probably go on forever, but I just want to say I feel pretty comfortable in forming my own opinion on this. I don't need to watch every single second of Raw to do so.

I honestly believe that it's cool to hate Raw and no matter what the bookers do fans will always nitpick. People watch Smackdown through rose tinted glasses and ignore the fact that it's a badly booked mess and I fully expect New Day Vs The Bar for the hundredth time in a Miracle in 34th street fight next week.
At least Corbin Vs Rollins in a TLC match was unexpected and something different.

(I came up with that opinion on my own after watching all 5 hours myself)
But I keep hearing people on podcasts claiming that Vince has lost touch and that SD is better because Vince doesn't bother with it. Which is stupid because we've heard the contrary many times. Then they're praising SD for using all their talent. All because Truth & Carmella come out and dance for 7 seconds. But the thing is, that's not really the case. Sanity, The Club, Almas, Shelton, & Tye Dillinger all are being wasted. Hell even the US champion Nakamura goes weeks without TV time.

I tend to only watch PPVs now and NXT. I haven't watched Raw in over 3 years now.

Boring beyond belief. No star power, I notice that even more after watching some late 2003 Raw on the Network, it's absolutely insufferable. We need more Angle, Triple H, Owens, Wyatt, Lesnar and anyone else immediately. I'd love to see Jericho return in 2019 too. And The Rock is overdue an appearance, he hasn't appeared since WrestleMania 32. Hopefully Vince's announcement is much needed Superstar Shake Up. They need to switch guys like Orton and Styles over to Raw. Matt Hardy seems to be campaigning for a role as Raw General Manager too so I'd totally love to see that! There's also so many first time matches they could give us, Apollo Crews vs. Rollins, Crews vs. Balor, Roode vs. Balor, Roode vs. Rollins, Roode vs. Ambrose, Ambrose vs Balor, yet we get the same Balor vs. Corbin every ing week. The roster is weak right now with all the big names absent and the injuries. I'd also like to see more of what they did on SmackDown with Cruiserweights fighting main eventers and upper mid carders rather than being exclusive to 205. It's not unusual for this time of year to absolutely suck though, I'm just hoping that things pick up as we approach Royal Rumble season.

Hopefully Vince's announcement is much needed Superstar Shake Up. Vince isn't shaking up nothing unless he announces he has parkinson's.

RAW sucks while Smackdown Live if anything has become the A show in terms of ratings. Smackdown Live is clearly miles better than RAW because Smackdown is actually entertaining and they have the better talent roster-wise but also better writing for Smackdown Live as opposed to RAW which is supposed to be the A show right? Clearly it isn't and why? Corbin is sucking the life right out of RAW and not to mention seeing the same old crapof him, McIntyre and Lashley...it is no wonder why Smackdown Live is loads better right now and that's saying a lot.

Guys like Amas are super talented but have no chance of getting over due to their lack of feuds ond tv time. General fans aren't going to care about guys who only fight in random matches every few weeks.

I think WWE in general and Road Dogg has said this that wins/losses don’t matter when that is so far from the truth. WWE routinely kills so much momentum of so many guys that it does permanently damage them. Samoa Joe can’t lose four times to AJ before he becomes an afterthought. What is so wrong with a short one month reign before switching back. It worked in the Attitude era during your brightest period. Give AJ 10 months out of the year and give one or two contenders a short reign for legitimacy purposes.
