Have the dirtsheets found their new subject matter in the Hardys? No they've already long moved on from that lol. Now we're on mjf being in photos with Cena, Baron Corbin, and liv Morgan so Cena is all elite while mjf is simultaneously confirmed going to WWE title in hand to madusa is, and cheating on Alicia Atout with Liv. Things move fast in this business 😉🤣

Been seeing a lot of hate lately on Twitter and everywhere. Legit don't get it. I'm always entertained. It's easy to get ... tribalism. There absolutely is some of that, but on the other end it’s undeniable that the product isn’t as good and not hitting for some folks. TK shouldn’t be booking all these shows by himself, the attention to detailed story telling that was there when it was just dynamite is gone. In the beginning it was very apparent who they were pushing and where the storylines were going and now there really isn’t any of that. Samoa Joe just dropping the tv title after a historic reign, Kenny being relegated to not really doing much of anything this year, the complete misbooking of the womens division, the constant stop and star on tons of guys. Like it’s an issue. All the metrics point out that they are having issues, he needs to let someone else take the book. Or at the very least give away some responsibilities. Their ticket sales this year were down 40%. That a problem. It just is, I want them around, I go to the shows, I buy merch, I watch as many shows as I can, but it’s at best a very unfocused product right now. Their ppv tickets used to literally disappear, now the shows don’t sell out. I’ll never stop pointing out what I like and pointing out what I don’t like.

The C2 has marked a big turnaround in quality imo. We're slowly dropping the hokey crap to a small portion of the show, the matches even beyond the C2 are starting to have some direction again, feuds feel better. Post all in to start of c2 was very rocky and I was definitely not nearly as engaged as any other point. I was starting to get really down on a lot of it during that period, and it had nothing to do with Punk leaving and everything to do with the way the rest of it was going.
That said, I loved Joe relinquishing the title. Fit well with MJF story. Mjf is spreading himself thin with the two titles, Joe didn't want to be unfocused, and he had nothing left to do with the tv title, so he made a statement by dropping it to go after what he really wants. I thoroughly enjoyed that decision.

Wake me up when 20 min matches with no build are over. Idk why everyone thinks they have to have a 15-20 min match to look strong or get over. It’s boring. No one gets over because it takes too long and they don’t finish the match when it’s logical.
I hate long matches for no reason, and so you people don’t lose it, here’s something I hate about WWE. Entrance, commercial, entrance match start, commercial, end of match. Is there no fine line anymore? Can no one have a competitive 7-10 match anymore and televise it? Or is it all ad space filler?

I absolutely despise tribalism but pretending criticism, and falling trends and lack of engagement not being valid is how you end up with a dead business.

I just hear commentators in the background going on and on trying to over explain things and make these arbitrary matches mean something.

^^ RoH and Impact are both really good for having plenty of matches in that 7-10 range. It's my favorite thing about those promotions. I enjoy long matches too, but being able to get it done in under ten and make it captivating makes for great tv matches.

I can agree with the 15-20 minutes for something with an obvious outcome because it’s an overbooked squash match. You can get someone over in 5 minutes way easier than 20 and you still have time for other stuff and don’t have to rush. Kenny coming out and having a 15 minute match with like Kip Sabian or someone is completely unnecessary and has always been one of my little things that they should’ve stopped a long time ago

Why do you feel wrestlers need to "get over"? Why can't a promotion like putting on a 15-20 match that shows outstanding wrestling? I mean, it's all personal opinion of course. Not here to argue. I'm assuming you like storyline/build and think it makes a match better?

I absolutely despise tribalism but pretending criticism, and falling trends and lack of engagement not being valid is how you end up with a dead business. I agree with down sales can lead to a smaller marketed business, but most of the negativity you find online about AEW is not smart like yours. It's bashing TK, bashing former E wrestlers, bashing flippy flops, etc. That's the tribalism I speak of. It's obvious AEW isn't for everyone. Hell it isn't for the majority of wrestling fans. And that's fine. They are fine with that. They don't want to be the E. They want to be themselves. If that means living in a smaller space one day, so be it.

Because I have zero emotional connection to them when they’re just having long drawn out fake fights with no reason for me to care. This is where this type of wrestling gets the cirque de soleil/gymnastics comparison. Without an emotional connection it’s just an ooh ahh spectacle, and that’s if they’re doing exciting moves in said exhibition. Otherwise if it’s fake grappling with no story I might as well watch another tv show or movie because Excalibur and Taz trying to sell me on whatever being so excruciating or Nigel saying everything is precarious is boring. Sorry, but a lot of people also feel this way. This has become such a weird niche hobby that accepts anything and everything because it makes sense only in the wrestling bubble and not the logical world.

I love AEW but will say their best stuff is when a good story is involved. Hangman/Mox, Mox/Orange, and Hangman/Swerve were my top matches/feuds in the company this year because I was invested in the story.
The only real interest I have in a wrestler just wrestling random matches is Danielson because even then, the story is man just wants to fight everyone because he’s got a pain kink.

Just got home from Final Battle and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. The Jay Briscoe tribute match was epic.

If I wanted to watch a gripping drama or watch some comedy I'd watch another TV show. Thankfully, both you and I can find what we're looking for in terms of wrestling with AEW and the E.
