I can't wait to see Lex Luger roll out on that first AEW show on TNT and Jim Ross saying, "What the hell is he doing here?? No, honestly people, why is Lex Luger here?? It's not 1995 anymore, by God, we're an indy fed with money now, we aren't WCW!!"

The UK and Canada updates should be out shortly since the date and time shot for TNT is confirmed. I think there was talk of TSN getting the broadcast rights for us here in Canada. They've already had that special show air about Kenny Omega too.

Waiting for the UK update likeeeeeee Word is its gonna be on ITV 4? Be cool to actually contribute to their viwership numbers. When I first started watching WWE my parents wouldnt pay for whatever package it was on and by the time I was old enough to pay for it myself the quality wasn't there to justify the bill....

I'm not going to say CM Punk's chances of AEW are none, but I don't think CM Punk is going to AEW anytime soon after reading his interview with ESPN. I was listening to Wrestling Soup at work, and this interview was brought up, after one of the hosts was talking about the constant back and forths with hardcore AEW fans after questioning the photo shoot they had with TV Guide (which I have certain opinions about it, but that's another story for another time), and this interview was brought up as an example of how wrestling fans nowadays and wrestling sites will take one little thing, and make it into something huge. I'll paste the comments about AEW, and I'll post the link for the full interview, since he talks about more than AEW. www.espn.com/wwe/story/_/id/27250624/the-future-filled-everything-wrestling-cm-punkESPN: When you do Starrcast, right or wrong, there is an implied relationship with AEW. Do you have any relationship with AEW? Punk: No. I know they like to talk about me a lot. If I text Matt Jackson, "Hey, have a great show tonight," which I did when they had their big show in Vegas, that somehow turns into Tony Khan telling people he has a great relationship with me. I've said in the past I've talked to them, but nothing ever came of anything. ESPN: Do you feel like there's an expectation from fans that you're going to show up at AEW's show, at All Out? Punk: I think if there's an expectation, it's purely been built by them. My silence to some fans means something. They're trying to read the tea leaves, but there's nothing to read. I even feel like talking about it may feel like I'm putting some sort of negative slant on it, but I'm really not. The fact is I know they've teased me ad nauseam, and if anybody is gonna get mad it's at me because I don't show up. Well then, I don't know what to tell you. That's one of those things that's none of my business. ESPN: When you say they've teased you, what do you mean by that? Punk: They do videos where they talk about me. They're constantly talking about me in the media. And again, maybe this sounds like I'm badgering them, but I'm not. It's just something that happens. I'm a popular guy to talk about. But I'm not doing interviews talking about them. If people ask me about it, I say no, I won't be there. ESPN: Just to be completely clear, there's nothing imminent? Punk: The last thing I got -- I got a text from Cody [Rhodes]. And again, I almost don't even know how to reply to them sometimes, because if I reply, they do interviews and are like, "Oh yeah, I just talked to Punk." I'm kind of damned if I do, damned if I don't. I always think if somebody wants to do business with me, they can come talk to me. Texting offers isn't really a way to do good business, at least. ESPN: Was it an offer via text? Punk: It was texted through three people and an offer came in through text. This is like a month ago, maybe. ESPN: An offer for All Out? Punk: I think it was just a general offer. I never could have done the last one in Vegas [Double or Nothing], because I was in California for CFFC. He also does mention when asked if in 2020 he'll return to wrestling, he says he doubts it but never say never. If AEW was really serious about getting Punk on their roster, they would have gone to him personally instead of making an offer through text. Especially to a guy whose passion for wrestling has left years ago. Hopefully now the talk about Punk going to AEW could, but I doubt the obsessed fans will end it, even if they read it from the horse's mouth.

If Punk shows up in AEW at some point, great. If not, he's had one hell of a career and seems happy pursuing other projects.
I try to ignore the noise as much as you can in this day and age. I'll say this - the amount that Punk/AEW are talking about each other suddenly feels a convenient. From a business perspective, if I'm Khan, Punk is a guy I'm dealing with directly and I'm more or less bringing a blank check book. So if these stories are true, it seems like some really bad business by a new company. If they're not true, then I hope they got the rights to Cult of Personality...

what I took out of that was that he wants a real offer and he would go there, he feels used when they just talk about him and use his name to get eyeballs.

I honestly feel the doors not closed for Punk, but i don't think he's coming back to wrestling any time soon. I'm just glad he put to rest all those rumors. Though i don't blame fans for either believing that there would have been a chance that he'd go to AEW, or wanting to believe theres a chance. I laughed when Punk said "Oh, i send Matt Jackson 1 text about the show in Vegas, all of a sudden Tony Khan says we have a great relationship". I'm even seeing guys in AEW execs saying Punk was misquoted, and the guy who did the interview basically said, "Ye....no, trust me he was definitely not misquoted", and once again the super nerds who have AEW tattooed to their balls come out and attack the guy who did the interview, saying he's full of crap. I want AEW to succeed, but I'm already starting to see old resemblances of TNA on the backstage business side. They haven't put out the TV show, but from I've seen on their first few events, if they wanted to be different from WWE, how about shorten your shows a bit instead of making them the same length as WWE with their PPVs. Hopefully the Elite know what they're doing, but so far from what I'm seeing, it looks like they're gonna be just another TNA. I hope I'm wrong.

I honestly don't want CM Punk in AEW because they shouldn't repeat what TNA did in 2010, luckily Tony Khan and The Elite are to smart to not do that.

I mean, if they were "too smart" to do that, they wouldn't have made an offer through text. And plus, why wouldn't they want Punk? They need all the star power they can get with the roster they have. Not trying to knock their roster, but their roster is basically Chris Jericho as their big star power, a couple of future stars, very few former WWE stars, and indy talent they could sign, plus The Elites friends having company positions. IMO they'd be very smart to sign Punk. Should they sign every Tom D*** and Harry that gets released/leaves WWE? Absolutely not, but if they have some star power, they should grab them.

What did TNA do in 2010 that you're comparing to Punk? Is that when Hogan came in? If so, I dunno how the two could be compared.
AEW is literally the perfect scenario for Punk to come back, if he were to ever come back. It's pretty much now or never for his return to wrestling, in my opinion.

Hope Punk continues to fade into distant memory. His hardcore fans are like conspiracy theorists at this point. Full aluminum helmets.
