I always thought Hercules was better as a heel, he looked like a threat to everyone. When he was a babyface, he just kind of seemed there, not that important. My favorite time period of his was his Power & Glory days. They started out well, but by early 1991, they lost steam and never recovered. Biggest match of his that I remember was vs. Hulk Hogan on SNME in late 1986, he almost brought Heenan home the gold but didn't get the job done - I guess that's why Heenan sold him to DiBiase. Jesse on the mic was great during that match. On the figure side of the discussion, i s he the biggest name from the WWF period (1983-2002) that hasn't had a figure made by Mattel, especially out of wrestlers from his days with the company (1985-1992)? Besides the obvious ones like Owen who won't be getting figures. Yeah he's up there for sure

It's hard for me to say much about Hercules because he was always "middle of the road" to me - I wasn't his biggest fan, but there were plenty of wrestlers I liked less.

I loved Hercules. He was one of the first I remember watching on tv as a kid and my favorite time was his face run in the light blue. Of course I liked him as a heel in black and also power and glory

Had a quick look to see who the New Breed were. I’m not sure I’ll be about tomorrow but if you close it as a tie Brain I’ll happily change my vote to them if it helps settle it.

New BreedThis ''futuristic'' tag team from the future....2002 to be exact consisting of Sean Royal and Chris Champion would make their debut as a team in Florida in 86.It wouldnt belong before they captured gold as late in the year they would defeat Kendall Windham and Vic Steamboat(yes Ricky's brother).Their reign however would only last a few months as in February 87 they would drop the belts to Tracey Smothers and Steve Armstrong. They would not regain the belts and would be gone shortly after. From there it was off to JCP.Same deal as in FL with the over the top attire and promos but man as hokey as it was was still entertaining. They even had a robot early on called ''XTC-1''.Their main feud here was with the RNR Express but before it could really get going Champion got into a car accident which really signaled the end.The feud was dropped and Royal went solo for a bit which didnt go anywhere. They would both leave by the end of 87. Overall...Not a long entry here as this is a team they didnt even last 2 years but personally I liked em as hokey as the gimmick was.Back to the Future was big during this era so smart move to capitalize on that.Champion had the better potential of the two I thought.Shame he didnt do more in the biz.Entertaining team here that I'm glad is getting some love here on the Retrospective. What are your memories of the New Breed? Share em below!
