I didnt know the Blue Blazer was Owen Hart during his original WWF run, so the first time I saw him as Owen Hart was a couple of appearances on WCW Saturday Night in mid-1991 and when Owen came in as part of the New Foundation a few months later, I didnt think he was going to be any good, LOL. Natalya has said that Jim the Anvil hated his yellow/teal taxicab attire but the outfit cost more than $1000 to make. The New Foundation theme was later reused for The Heavenly Bodies.

I really liked this pairing, I don't think Anvil had what it took to be a singles star so pairing him with a high flyer was a good choice. Their match versus the Orient Express at RR92 was great and showed they had real potential. Shame they didn't last, 1992 was the start of the tag team division going down hill for the WWF, they could have had a good run during this time. I didn't mind the look, it was different, I hope we can get a Mattel Anvil figure in this look even if we won't be able to get an Owen to match.

They would've made good challengers against Money Inc. for the belts. I could've seen them working well together.

PN News
This colorful attired ''rapper'' would make his debut in WCW during the Spring of 91 and right off the bat would get a small push as he feuded with then TV Champ Stunning Steve Austin. He would come up short in winning the belt but the feud didn't end there. This would lead to the infamous ''capture the flag'' scaffold match at GAB that year with PN teaming with Bobby Eaton to take on Austin and Terry Taylor. Just an awful match all around as all four guys refused to take a bump on the scaffold leading to stalling and slow movements. Following this, the big man would drop down the ladder and remain in the low card for the remainder of his run here.
At Halloween Havoc that year he would team up with Big Josh against the Creatures in a nothing match. He would try his hand at the TV Title more time at Clash XVII but once again would come up short. The gimmick was clearly running on fumes at this point. At Starrcade, he would try his luck in getting in the Lethal Lottery battle royal when he would team up with Steve Armstrong to take on Ron Simmons and Tommy ''Wildfire'' Rich but the end result was a loss. His last big match would come at the Clash that January as he would defeat DDP in quick fashion. He would be taken off TV soon after this and would be gone from the company by March.
Overall....I was never a rap/hip hop fan so right off the bat I couldn't stand this gimmick but I can understand why the company went with it considering the time period.Still better than Oz though *shudders*

PN News was one of the more memorable characters of early 90s WCW, but for all the wrong reasons. I get they were trying to capitalize on what was popular at the time, but he was one of the first examples that showed rap gimmicks were a kiss of death in wrestling before John Cena made it work.

Imagine if they got PN to be Cena's bodyguard instead of Bull Buchanan in late 02/early 03.

He was briefly apart of the Baldies stable in ECW circa late 99 and spent some time on the indies after that so he was out there. Thing is I doubt the crowd would've remembered who he was.
