Huge win for Ottawa tonight. I know the series is far from over, but there's an enormous amount of pressure for Buffalo to win Game 2 now. If they go to Ottawa down 0-2, this series is Ottawa's for the taking. sad thing is i agree, we played a very good game tonight but it wasnt enough. our power play wasnt good but it hasnt all season, only thing that really hurt us was that break away goal. i expected to sens to goal on the 3 v 4 cause they can actually score on a power play. but we are not down and out. the first two period we played good and it showed cause we went into the third tied. we just seemed tired or something or just got out played cause nothin could get going. game 2 we will see a different team, we will take more shots and will play more aggressive hopefully. if we go into ottawa down 2 it will be very hard to play catch but stranger things have happened. im just really looking forward to saturday now....

Do it up, Buffalo.
Kinda funny though how Detroit/Ottawa was "supposed" to be last year's final, and it has a good chance of being this year's.

Hasek for Conn Smythe. The dude is unstoppable and is the absolute definition of the word athlete.

Wow, what a game.
Buffalo has a gigantic amount of work cut out for them now. Obviously, they need to win at least 1 game in Ottawa to stay alive, but the Sens have shown that they aren't even afraid of playing the Sabres in Buffalo.
I really think Buffalo needs to win both games in Ottawa, which is going to be extremely tough. Emery has looked solid in these past 2 games and that crowd is going to be rockin'...

Go Senators! Go Wings! I smell a Stanley Cup final coming Do it Hockey Gods. Especially Detroit. I'm glad Ottawa and Detroit are making the hockey analysts look so stupid right now. Everybody picked Buffalo and Anaheim, but right now, its the other way.

Hey, thanks for completely ignoring the atrocious officiating. That one Sens player could have seriously injured Tallinder and he didn't even get penalized at all. Had the the first goal counted, the Sabres would have won the damn game so don't go and tell me that the Senators are a better team than Buffalo, they just got lucky thanks to the referees and the NHL.

Ah crap.. it's really turning out to be Ottawa/Detroit. Well, my interest in the playoffs is gone. I guess I'd "root" for Detroit, just because they're not Ottawa, but they have Hasek and I hate him so much.
Actually, thinking about Hasek and the Sens from last season, I'd actually love to see Hasek turn around and bitch slap Ottawa in the finals.

Vanek's first goal was clearly not a goal, it was pretty conclusive that he punched it in. Although, I do agree that Alfredsson's hit on Tallinder should have been boarding.
Overall, that was probably the best game of the playoffs, had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and for Buffalo to come back now seems next to impossible.

Anaheim is lucky they got past Vancouver, they're not going anywhere. We beat them 4-1. How can you say lucky? Canucks didn't want it bad enough.

Boo hoo boo hoo...you got on my case when the referees ed over the Rangers, so now I'm going to say the same thing to you. The Sabres were outplayed and lost to the better team. I love Miller, but he's pretty much horrible at saving shots from the point. Anyway, on to bigger and better things...I ordered myself a Chelios white Wings jersey that will make WOJO and UYI happy.
