Let’s clear some things up:
“Young and bitter” has nothing to do with a child being upset about not obtaining a figure. Just a clever thread title, dealing with one of Pete Dunne’s alias.
I believe cancer is one of the worst things in the world. Especially pediatric cancer. I won’t go into my personal stance on it, but it’s obviously awful.
The child’s mother was after an Aleister Black figure. I only bought a Pete Dunne. So it’s just my reaction to a shocking moment. No bragging or anything of the nature.

Say what you will. I honestly don’t care if people do or don’t believe me. If I had video/audio proof, I’d post it. Definitely not someone to make up a story for any sort of internet clout. Haha I do believe you now. Just saw u said novel so I thought it was some made up story. Anyway I would’ve done the same A novel because of the length. I wanted to explain in detail what today was. Me and the dude Bill even started fixing and facing the board games section, while waiting. Just something to do while we patiently waited... as patiently as we could be without leaving.

These figures are absolute scalper bait. So if you have an aleister black figure in your hands and give it away to some random woman with a sad story, don't be surprised if you see that figure on eBay hours later. People will say and do anything to make a few bucks on ebay.

I don’t even think she was going to scalp it. I dunno what to believe.
My assumption was that she has a kid who isn’t sick and used a sob story to try to get him a figure.
I don’t want a kid having cancer, but I’d also hate to find out this woman would lie about something like that to get her kid a wrestling action figure. I’ve seen parents steal ice cream bars and candy out of boxes and give them to their children... so anything is possible.

Because as a parent if God forbid my daughter had cancer and I saw two other people in the aisle with the one thing she wanted I would have offered to buy it from one of them for two-three times the price. If that didn’t work I would have tried to take it from one of them and have store security try and stop me. But that’s me.

I almost suggested eBay. I mean, if it means THAT much to the child... is $70-80+ that bad? I understand treatment is expensive, but a specific $20 figure is what he’s after? She also declined the rest of Elite 64 and Ruby/Dain as “The Aleister Black is what he wants”. I dunno. I was pretty happy to get almost any new toy when I was 5 years old. Also, sorry that is has turned into this whole thing. I was just sharing my finding out of excitement and was so taken back by the event that occurred before leaving after an already crazy day, I figured I’d share that part as well. Never meant to come off a certain way, other than skeptical.

I think if her story is legit, just send the man himself a message on Twitter or Facebook. I think he could totally get mattel to send the kid a figure. Wwe and mattel love good pr, and would do that in a heartbeat.

Dunne looks out of scale, is his figure as tall as it looks in the photo? Hes around 5'10 or so in real life.

Here's a thought for Mattel and Walmart... how about people don't have to figure chase by trying to go to a retailer when the shipments arrive. This is a messed up and stressful way for people to buy figures.

Yes, you are correct. However, having to use things like brick seek to check when they are arriving and then waiting around for boxes to be unpacked sucks. The reason they are doing it is to ensure they get the figures they want because Walmart is so bad at stocking shelves or ordering the right quantities. As consumers, we should have a better editions than this. Walmart is getting away with some crappy service here.

Hanging out in a store for hours hassling employees to unpack is for creeps imo. crapty distribution forces people to shop this way.

It's not that great to have to hunt for toys in 2019. Every day a kid picks up a tablet, another toy company lost another customer. They should be making it easier not harder if they want to survive or exist.
