it wasn't all about the benjamins with Moss last season because he had averaged about 50 catches per year for the past 3 seasons and a lot of people thought he was done. now, its a different story. after 1,500 yards and an NFL record-23 TD's, he's gonna wanna be paid. straight cash, homey. Right, he's definitely going to want to get paid - but I don't think it's a situation where he's going to refuse to be on the Cowboys because they won't pay him more than what they're paying T.O. If the contract is in-line with what other teams are willing to offer, I don't think it matters that Owens might be making more than him. With Owens, if Moss does make more than him, he might start to stick his nose in the front office... But I sincerely doubt that Jerry Jones isn't going to think of that before he were to sign Moss. My guess is that he would give Owens more to shut up, basically. and lest we not forget, Randy Moss is the culprit of developing a pass-monopolizing system called "the Randy Ratio." I'm pretty sure T.O. would immediately try to hit him over the head with a bengal tiger and then do 30 sit-ups on top of Randy's head In Moss's defense, that wasn't HIS idea. He wanted 'the damn ball', but he didn't come up with that idea. When there were games this year where Moss wasn't getting the ball thrown his way, he didn't start problems. As long as he has talented players around him who are trying to win the game, he's been pretty happy throughout his career. It's when guys suck and he's being blamed for their lack of success that he starts to speak up.

Citing two NFL sources, AOL Sports' Sean Jensen reports Randy Moss is expected to sign a "multi-year deal" to stay in New England. There was never much doubt Moss would stay with the Super Bowl runner-ups. Moss' deal, which can't become official until Friday at 12AM, figures to make him the NFL's richest wideout, though it may be surpassed by Larry Fitzgerald's deal later in the offseason. The contract is expected to be for three years, $30 million with $12-15 million guaranteed. Jensen adds that impending free agent Lance Briggs is slated to sign with San Francisco.
Profootballtalk.com reports that there's "increasing chatter" in league circles that Asante Samuel and the Saints have worked out a deal.

I enjoyed watching him torch defenses this year, and I expect more of the same next year.

Woo Rams re-sign Leonard Little and transfer the $7 million end of season bonus into a signing bonus so it can be paid off over two years which saves the Rams $3.5 million more for cap room.

Im bored so i thought i'd post some news.
The Packers are expected to seek a second-round pick in exchange for franchise player Corey Williams.
There's also a chance they'll keep Williams, but will shop him on draft day. An NFC North source said the Lions would've had heavy interest had Williams hit the market. Teams will have to work out a long-term deal to acquire him. Source: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
The Miami Herald believes the Dolphins are certain to take a quarterback somewhere on draft day.
The Herald thinks they'll pass on Matt Ryan at No. 1, but one of Miami's second-round picks could be used on a QB like Brian Brohm, Joe Flacco, or Chad Henne. Jake or Chris Long seem more likely candidates to be chosen first. Source: Miami Herald
The Dolphins are reportedly interested in free agent DB Eugene Wilson.
The Dolphins would appreciate Wilson's versatility, as he can play both safety and cornerback and they have question marks at both positions. In addition, Miami is said to be a possible suitor for free agent Will Demps. Source: Miami Herald
Jonathan Vilma was "apparently" in New Orleans on Monday to meet with Saints brass, according to Newsday's Tom Rock.
This is the first we've heard of any talks between Vilma and the Saints, who have been trying to find a middle linebacker all winter. Vilma recently wrote on his blog that he won't be able to run for another month. Rock speculates that a Shaun Rogers-for-Vilma may work if Vilma's visit with Detroit goes well. Source: Newsday
Free agent Alge Crumpler is expected to talk with the Seahawks after his visit with the Titans, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
We'll see if he makes it out of Nashville. The Bucs, who met with Crumpler on Tuesday, opened preliminary talks with the 30-year-old, but let him leave without a deal. DT Rod Coleman is expected to visit Tampa by Thursday. Source: St. Petersburg Times
Jaguars, Rams, and Falcons are expected to be the top bidders for free agent Todd Collins when he hits the market.
Of those, only Atlanta could offer him a starting opportunity. He'd he a sound fit there as a game manager in run-first coordinator Mike Mularkey's offense. Source: Washington Post
ESPN's John Clayton writes that "it's very possible" Randy Moss will make it to the free agent market.
The Patriots reportedly returned from the Combine and began "lengthy" talks with Moss' agent. This indicates that if an agreement is in place as has been reported, it would've been struck late Tuesday or sometime Wednesday. Source: ESPN Insider
ESPN's John Clayton reports that teams in need of QBs are beginning to show interest in restricted free agent Derek Anderson.
Clayton says the teams may even be willing to offer first- and third-round picks for the big armed 24-year-old. The Browns still hope to finalize a three-year contract, but talks will go down to the wire on Thursday. Source: ESPN Insider
The Titans have given Pacman Jones permission to seek a trade.
It's hard to imagine a team dealing more than a late-rounder for a suspended player who's unlikely to be reinstated anytime soon. This does likely spell the end of Pacman's time in Tennessee. Jones' agents say they'd be willing to change his contract into mostly incentives if that's what a new team wants. Source: Nashville City Paper
Profootballtalk.com reports the Jets, Lions, and Broncos are discussing a three-way trade that would send DT Dewayne Robertson to Denver, NT Shaun Rogers to New York, and DB Domonique Foxworth and a second-round draft choice to Detroit.
What is this, the NBA? A three-way deal, especially involving players of this magnitude, would be unprecedented in the NFL. Still, each team would be getting a piece it desperately needs. We'll have to see how salary situations unfold and whether Detroit can work Jonathan Vilma into the blockbuster. Source: Profootballtalk.com

Anything less than a fourth round pick (which I doubt they'd get) I'd rather just keep Pacman. At least they wouldn't have Chris Davis muffing punt returns.
Marcus Stroud is on the trading block according to PFT.

Pac man should come to Atlanta, since he spends all his jail time here anyway. Yeah, him and Vick could bunk together in the State Penetentary. Seriously though, if Atlanta wanted to stand a chance, they should cut there losses and work from the bottom up. The draft is crucial for them this year. And so is the free agency period. I wish them luck but....
