tr dub, do you know what kind of RFA tender the falcons put on Mike Boley? I was a huge fan of his coming out of Southern Miss and knew he was going to develop into a playmaking starter in the NFL... he'd look great in Eagle green
as far as UFA's, I think the Eagles will look at Asante Samuel but someone like the Jets or Saints is likely to outbid them. Lance Briggs fits their system but they don't put enough of a premium on LB's to warrant his asking price. there are talks of them going after Gibril Wilson, which I'd be happy with. he's already tuned in with the Eagles' scheme, having played under Giants' D-Coordinator and former Eagles LB Coach Steve Spagnuolo. plus, we'd be stealing him from a division rival, which is always a good thing

No wtf the Rams released Isaac Bruce. So stupid, they re-sign leonard Little who had like 1 sack last year but they cut Bruce who had a pretty good year. I'm heartbroken.

Both of those guys are playmakers, and are better than Brooking if you ask me.

I'm heartbroken. heartbreaking isn't it? i really hoped the Rams would of got rid of Bennett. i mean...bennett is going to cash out with that stupid ass contract he got after not even being productive. eh...the saddest thing...is that bruce has been a STL Ram for the beginning and will probably end up retiring a 49er. just a shame. one day...i hope managment will be good. i expect these people to get cut: glover, byrd, chavous, hall. but that's the part of being a nfl fan. move on with the old...bring in the new.

Anyone else hear about Kevin Faulk getting busted for marajuana? ~Sorry if old~ Is all you do is post negative Patriots news or what? Following his arrest on a misdemeanor marijuana charge last week, Kevin Faulk reportedly passed a drug test and will not be admitted into the league's substance abuse program.

Vilma and Jenkins played different positions.
Vilma is a Saint because he wasnt a fan of Mangini and vice versa, plus he is coming off a major injury.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that the Jaguars agreed to terms with Jerry Porter. I dunno why I wanted the Titans to sign Porter as much as I did, but having him go to the Jags sucks even harder. There's reports that Samuel signed with the Eagles.

If the Titans can sign Stallworth and Crumpler, that'd be a major coup for the Titans and Young.
Samuels is def going to the Eagles though

Samuel is a solid CB, but the term "system player" is a scary term. He isnt a shut down corner, he plays his side, not the best guy. For the money he will make, hes not worth it obviously, but hes def going to help the Eagles defense.

Samuel is a solid CB, but the term "system player" is a scary term. He isnt a shut down corner, he plays his side, not the best guy. For the money he will make, hes not worth it obviously, but hes def going to help the Eagles defense. first and foremost I want to say that, if this signing is true, I'm happy mainly because its indicative of the Eagles actually looking to improve their roster. under Andy Reid, they've only been "active" in the off-season once time--2004, when they got T.O. and Kearse, among others. not surprisingly, that was their Super Bowl year. this 2008 roster is one that can be just as good if they get healthy and make a few key moves, so i'm happy they're willing to spend the money. Signing Samuel tells me that Lito Sheppard is gone, and it will be an exchange for a big-time WR. probably not Fitzgerald, but a Roy Williams-type is very possible. Sheppard and Samuel are, more or less, the same player. they're smallish, physical corners that excel in timing and jumping routes and make a lot of big plays, but are also prone to getting beat on occasion by bigger guys. So essentially we're just giving Samuel 20 million bucks more to do the same thing Lito already does; except Samuel is a lot, lot more durable than Lito. Eagles have also reportedly signed Raiders DE/OLB Chris Clemons, I signing I like. he's purely a situational rusher that had 8 sacks last year, but with Trent Cole having developed into an every-down starter now, the Eagles are looking for a spark plug situational guy that can come in with fresh legs and get after the QB. Clemons can do that. edit: I'd also like to say that I'd be pleasantly surprised if it only turned out to be a 47 Mil contract. obviously thats not chump change, but this year's market is DISGUSTING and thats a relative bargain when you consider that Tommy Kelly got nearly 60 million and Jerry Porter just got 30 million from Jacksonville.

Lions reportedly trade DT Shaun Rogers to the Bengals. a player with character concerns going to the Bengals? nooo waaay
Shaun Rogers is the best DT in the NFL when he chooses to be, though, so I can't knock the move for Cincy, if its true
