White had a case of skillet hands until this past year, where he finally turned the corner. Jenkins is Garbage, Finneran will probably never play again, and Horn is beyond washed up. falcons could invest in roy williams, chad johnson.....or james thrash.

yeah, Belichick definitely prefers veteran linebackers because of their ability to learn the scheme and their instincts on the field. but I think the reason they've had success with "safe" pick-ups like Junior Seau, is that the front-3 is simply so good that it frees up all sorts of possibilities for the LBs to blitz or hit the running lane un-evaded. hell, Wilfork and Seymour occupy 4 offensive linemen on any given play by themselves, so all someone like Seau has to do is make the play in the open field.
I think the only LB the Pats really have to be concerned about replacing is Vrabel. Adalius Thomas certainly fits that type of mold, but Adalius Thomas is like 33 years old in his own right. Vrabel is such a unique and versatile player that makes that LB corps what it is, so they need to start considering the future behind him. they haven't drafted a whole lot of LBs under Belichick, but they haven't always had success in adding players through free agency, either. Rosevelt Colvin has struggled with his hip ever since leaving Chicago, and he's had a few strong years with the Pats... but Colvin had recorded like 25 sacks over his last 2 seasons with the Bears and the Patriots paid him top dollar to be one of the league's premiere pass rushers. and it just hasn't happened. and wasn't there a time that Monty Beisel and Chad Brown were supposed to be starters and "genius Belichick moves"?

every time i hear or see that name i am propelled into a violent fit of rage. just because of that post, i picked up a number 2 pencil and broke it in HALF. now that is rage. to his credit, Thrash was always a good special teamer... but thats all he ever was. and it was salt in the wound when the Eagles went to Washington last year and Thrash caught 2 TD passes in the game. i think they were his first TDs since the Reagan administration. luckily we won the game, or i was considering purchasing a kitten and putting it in my microwave.

I;d give williams or johnson a go, but I'd rather sign Mike Quick than James Thrash.

Allegedly, Thomas is visiting Foxboro today. I wouldn't be surprised to see him walk out with a contract, to be honest. Whered you hear this my love? Link please? I like Crumpler and hate Ben Watson, I hope we can change that this offseaso....Watson can go to the Falcons and drop passes in the DURTY SQOUTH! I saw it via patsfans.com, it's what Larry Ridley reported on the 11 PM broadcast last night.

Yeah, that seemed more like bad luck than anything, with the major break his second game in a Pats uniform(against your Iggles, as I recall), missing that entire season, and he's really just never been the same player since.

ESPN says the Eagles are shopping CB Lito Sheppard. pretty strange. a 26 year-old, 2-time pro bowler thats signed through the next 5 seasons... not sure why they'd want to move that.
some are already speculating that they'll send him to Detroit for Roy Williams. barf.

Weren't you the guy who said mid-season that since the Ravens weren't doing good you were gonna be a Pats' fan?

Supposedly TRW, Dangelo Hall is going to the Giants for the #31 pick in the draft

You know....I ought to be upset by that, but I am not. He's not as good as he thinks he is. He could be. He's good. But he isn't great. I would prefer he shut his damn mouth, and play.

For a team like the Giants who have one of the worst secondarys in the world, he will make a TON of difference, the Falcons need to hold out for more, but its a good move for the Giants, no matter how big of a cock the guy is

Yeah, I would like to think they could do better than a #31 pick. At least a mid first round pick. That way we can take McFadden, and maybe still grab a QB.

Jets have given Vilma permission to seek trade. The idea in St. Louis is to ship 2nd round pick for Vilma and swap that with the Jets 6th pick. Even though rotoworld.com said it's unlikely, Vilma is a stud in the middle in the 4-3. Witherspoon could move to the outside along with Pisa. Depending on if the Jets take Gholston at No. 2 or not...it'd be heaven if he fell down there to No.6 for the Rams if that trade even went through.
I can only dream....can only dream.
