WWE superstars RVD & Sabu? 🤔🤔🤔 I noticed the same thing. It may be the convention taking some liberties with the marketing. But typically large companies are very protective of their brand and how it is used/associated. And Vegas Toy Con would have had to go through WWE to book the active wrestlers that are appearing, so I doubt they'd take that kind of risk. It's 50/50 in my eyes, but either WWE has Sabu and RVD under a Legends deal or the convention took some went out on a limb with their advertising. RVD and Sabu both seem to need money, so I don't doubt they'd sign a deal in a heartbeat if offered.

Damn crap reveal if that's true. It is sandwiched in between Toy Fair and WM Axxess so I wasn’t expecting much. Would like to see more than 1 new figure tho.

Sometimes other promoters bring them in

Sometimes other promoters bring them in I would think that they’re there with no current affiliation with WWE. But they were both employed there so it’s not incorrect to consider them WWE Superstars. It’s the same as having Erik Estrada there saying he’s from CHiPs. He’s no longer on the show but it’s still something he’s credited with.

Saying someone was in WWE adds to their appeal

Sometimes other promoters bring them in I think only active WWE talent needs to be scheduled through the WWE office. But they're being advertised as "WWE Superstars." Without approval, I believe that could open the toy con up to legal action since it's a trademarked phrase. Similar to how advertisers have to call the Superbowl "the big game" because they own the trademark and are very protective of it. Again, it may just be the promoter taking some liberties with their marketing and mean absolutely nothing. No way for us to know one way or the other.

Saying someone was in WWE adds to their appeal Yes and no. Small indies do it often, but WWE also isn't likely to send a cease and desist over Mideon appearing at some show in a high school gym in Nebraska. But WWE owns (or at least owned) the trademark for "WWE Superstar." It's a high visibility show and they are working with WWE to bring in some big name active talent. So it would be pretty stupid to do without approval. But again, approval does not necessarily mean they've signed any kind of Legends deal. I think their Impact booking is a one night only appearance, so it may not conflict with a WWE marketing deal. But it's been a while since I've read through the Legends contracts.

Didn’t last year Vegas con have flashbacks 2 and milk o mania? They probably had FB2 but it was first shown at Toy Fair. Not gonna be very exciting if they’re just showing 1 new figure.

Wasn’t 67 and 68 revealed? Trash reveal. Guess comic con it is Yeah we’ve seen em both. Maybe we see Patterson’s 2nd head and Taker with elbow pads this time around. Maybe they gave Shayna a women’s NXT belt and not reuse the men’s belt. On the Major Pod they said that, per Bill, Taker will have elbow pads. And in regards to no logo on the hat, apparently it's a 3rd party logo so they couldn't use it. Didn't sound like Patterson will have a 2nd head, they just said that it will have wrestling trunks underneath to kind of make it "2-in-1."

It’s close enough and better than nothing. Clearly accuracy isn’t that big of a concern considering it comes with a modern Kane mask. Yeah I’m not sure about Patterson’s 2nd head. They didn’t mention it at all so don’t know to take it as it’s not coming with it or that they forgot about it or they themselves aren’t sure.

Lol @ the excuses for the hat being incomplete. How about just giving us the Taker we actually wanted and there wouldn't even be any issues? Nobody asked for that Taker. Nobody. It's a fine figure for what it is, don't get me wrong, but nobody has ever specifically asked for a Summerslam 00 Taker. Everyone wanted the Judgment Day look but Mattel just has to be obscure.

“Normally I would be super excited for a up coming show, but this whole Harley Race debacle and now the chase rubbish (Backlund, Dunne and Sherri) is kinda killing it for me. I’m all for the hunt, but at this point it feels like a hunt for Unicorns. Just to be clear, my main source for figures is Ringside and evilbay (a symptom of being a international collector, and I accepted that in the late 90’s). “ Even being into US, I can’t compete with people who are resellers, as the stores here in Chicago always picked over or poorly stocked. so, I, too, am tired of the chase figures. Even store exclusives are a pain to get.
