Vegas Toy Con is just two days away and there doesn’t seem to be any buzz whatsoever. I’m certainly looking forward to it. I’m going to keep my wish list somewhat reasonable. Hoping to see BoAE Kurt Angle, UE Bret and Nakamura, and the next couple of exclusives after Patterson. Also hoping for a Q&A with Bill Miekina since he is going to be there.

I'm not familiar with this event, but just from a quick glance at their website, I would keep my hopes astronomically low for any delivery on those reveals. This looks to be much more of a "[your larger than average town/city]-con" type event, which are fun in their own right and usually are a decent opportunity to land a couple of nice meet and greets and pick up some decently priced wares in the vendor halls, but I think those sort of reveals aren't going to come to light until San Diego rolls around.

There’s been reveals there the last couple of years. Mattel’s head designer is there and I doubt he’s showing up without figures.

Pretty sure this is the Vegas event that Bill has been at the last 3-4 years. So I would guess he’ll be showing again this year.

Like I said, I'm not too familiar, and just gave the site a passive glance. I kinda drew comparisons between the guest list here and that of one I typically see in like...Connecticut. I suppose Vegas may be slightly more apt to grab something more intriguing than Hartford.

If we see something new that would be great! But there’s so much stuff that’s coming out that I really won’t be disappointed regardless

I hope we see Kari Sane. What a surprise that would be. And then comes a bigger surprise. It will be a Costco Japan exclusive.

Normally I would be super excited for a up coming show, but this whole Harley Race debacle and now the chase rubbish (Backlund, Dunne and Sherri) is kinda killing it for me. I’m all for the hunt, but at this point it feels like a hunt for Unicorns. Just to be clear, my main source for figures is Ringside and evilbay (a symptom of being a international collector, and I accepted that in the late 90’s). But the secondary market is ed right now, if a figure goes up in value over time - good, I’m happy about that, and I have had to man up and pay up for some of the black box series I passed on. But this chase crapthey have now, has just created a scalpers market... It’s taking some of the joy out of it, and feels more like a chore almost... (Luckly I don’t care about Dunne at least) If it wasn’t for the Ultimate Edition line (which I’m super excited about), I would be all but done. I might be anyway... Those NECA TMNT figures are looking mighty tempting right now, money that would have gone to Mattel... (I know they are GameStop and Target exclusives but there doesn’t seem to be anywhere near the D-D-D-dis-distribution issues).... Anywho, Ultimate Edition is all I really care about at the moment, hopefull Shinsuke is cancelled and replaced with someone else - so the line isn’t dead before it’s starts (sorry folks, but he is going to warm those pegs)

I just want them to show the Elite Itami so I know that it will get released. One of my biggest wants for a modern guy.
