My kids love both of those Great. But it doesn't take away the fact that figures like these are pretty much made for the collector's (ie. adult) market... not many kids will be wanting Bob Backlund over the likes of Reigns, Rollins, Brock etc. That's your opinion not a fact

It's not my cup of tea, but I appreciate that some folks enjoy the look of packaged figures or like getting them signed. But there's always a line. I was at a toy show today and overheard a kid (maybe 7-8) tell their parent "I can't wait to get home and play with these," and the parent just responded dead-pan "Remember, we don't open toys, they stay in the package." There is definitely a point where MOC goes overboard, and that guy blew past it. And from what I could tell it didn't look like they were talking about some high dollar vintage MOC figures. that is an absolute disgrace. i’m a MOC collector that has a young child who loves playing with figures so believe you me i’ve boughten a crap ton of duplicates. one for him and one for the wall which also will eventually be his haha.

Not to mention, all the action figures and toys based on R/18 rated properties like Alien, Halloween, Elm Street, Evil Dead - and also higher-end/more expensive figures like the Mezco One:12 Collective...

There are also lines like Masters Of The Universe Classics and DC Multiverse that are specifically marketed towards the "adult collector" - and I'd wager a large amount that lines like Star Wars: The Black Series and Marvel Legends are aimed primarily at collectors/adults too. As for Mattel WWE, figures like Backlund and Sherri are clearly aimed at the adult/collectors market... most kids won't have a clue who they are - and it actually says "Collector's Edition" on the box, lol.

The same can be said for why do collectors open their figures? Why do you like blue and I like green? Just do what makes you happy and enjoy your collection to its fullest.

You sir, are 100% correct, there is no right or wrong way to collect, seems a small amount of collectors feel the need to impose their preferences on others. Thank god this is only a hobby and not something that actually matters in the grand scheme of things. For the record - I like orange 👍

The Bob Backlund is most definitely NOT aimed at kids. I'm old enough to remember him, and I have no interest in it, whatsoever. I don't understand why a kid would even be interested in someone liike Pete Dunne tbh. I don't believe a kid can truly appreciate that Aleister Black, either. No-one's saying they're the Mona Lisa, but they're certainly not worthless "pieces of plastic" either... (just look at the crazy price a figure like Harley Race is fetching). And if you think figures like Bob Backlund and Sensational Sherri are being made for kids... think again. My kids love both of those Yeah... because you've probably coerced your kids into "loving" them. Without your obvious influence, they wouldn't know who Sherri and Backlund are. I suppose your kids are going to love that Pat Patterson when it's out, too?

Because he's not mainstream, or someone who is primarily aimed at kids like Cena, Bayley, or even Reigns or Jeff Hardy. He's also a short, fairly ugly, unimpressive-looking, English bloke, who appears mainly on a little-watched, network-only show.

Is this "pick on Pete day? Lol.

Kids who enjoy wrestling enjoy it, they are not as cynical as adults who watch and thus they enjoy what they enjoy - they're not "smart" to the business and just enjoy it for what it is. Ergo to my kids skinner and repo an are as big stars as Austin
