I am going to have to rewatch this show in awhile but upon first viewing I would say their where four matches that where four stars or above.Can't think of any other wrestling PPV that has done that or if it did pulled it off this well and without having to deal with any filler matches or matches that brought the show down.

Looks like Ciampa's not as invested in protecting his character, as people claim - can't take him seriously as the sadistic, black-hearted, heel after that.

That TakeOver has gotta be one of my top picks. From the beginning all the way to the end, filled with fantastic action. I'm definitely glad that Johnny Wrestling FINALLY won the big one. It would of been more satisfying story-wise if Ciampa wasn't injured, but it worked. The end with Ciampa coming out and embracing both Johnny and Candice was surprising.

So in my honest opinion, I really thought Cole should have won the NXT Title, so Gargano could spend the next while chasing it. But whatever.
With Black and Ricochet leaving for good from NXT, I feel that puts a pretty big hole in the main event scene for NXT now.

Watching Takeover now and I'm up to the UK title match, and I just gotta say... wow. The quality of wrestling on these shows amazes me every time. I think a heel Riddle would work out well. Been a fan of his since his spot on the Taz show a couple years ago and him being on NXT now is really the reason why I'm making it a priority to watch more now.

I pity the main roster stars that have to follow that on Sunday. Amazing how the crowd was very pro Cole at the start of the main event but was totally invested in Gargano winning by the end. The amount of false finishes and punishment taken by Gargano was excessive but sometimes you just have to leave logic by the wayside. All told a great event.

Great show as always. Not quite in the group of all-time best Takeovers IMO, but hella strong show.
I think they went slightly overboard with the overcoming the odds for Gargano, but it was gonna happen to some degree. I’d take away one of the two biggest false finishes.. either the high/low with the ref down, or the superkick/superkick/Last Shot sequence right after Johnny took out all three guys on the outside. Having both of those was just like, wow that’s A LOT to overcome. I thought Johnny was gonna win the whole time, but after the superkick/superkick/Last Shot I was like sh*t I think it’s over. All in all it was a great match, awesome, but it can still be that and a little flawed at the same time.

I don’t know if this was brought up in the thread already, but this makes Gargano the first ever NXT Triple Crown winner. (NXT, North American, and Tag Team Championships)

Ive said it time and time and time again and Ill continue to say it. Shayna Baszler is what the WWE wanted Ronda Rousey to be. Shayna had a lot more training and wasn't thrust into the highest profile main roster spotlight so she's had time to grow into a star. She also surprisingly has more charisma in her promos. Khali has more charisma than Ronda. |

No but really, when he kicked out after the superkick combo + Undisputed Era attacks that was the most shocking moment since the streak ended. Coudln't believe my  ing eyes. |

Hanson did a swanton bomb off the top rope onto 3 other men on the floor. If that doesn't deserve a 5*, nothing will.
That was simply the best wrestling PPV I've ever watched. Full of great wrestling, story telling, and emotion. In the words of Triple H after NXT Dallas..."You bastards, I said push the main roster, I said make it hard for us, I didnt say make it impossible for us....holy cow." That's exactly what happened last night. There is NO way Wrestlemania 35 lives up to this.
