Maybe we could get a Heenan Family 4 pack for RSC's next retro exclusive. I always hated the Rude hasbro mold, would love another Rude with short hair and cool tights, Heenan in white suit, , Big John Studd and maybe a new Andre the Giant.

I'd go Rude for sure, could use one in short hair, Studd would be cool, also Red Rooster, or Perfect in orange singlet.

Hogan and Disciple would have been amazing. Feels like they'll be ample opportunity to get us like a 95 Kid or 98/99 X-pac, and the Syxx wasn't something I really needed, and pairs oddly with Hogan.

Short hair would be cool, even redoing the Hasbro one with longer hair would be okay. Orange singlet Perfect would be great as well. Mr. Wonderful and King Kong Bundy also would be nice to see, even though they were a bit before the Hasbro timeline. Though Bundy would fit for 1994/95.

Yeah, Orndorf is another I wouldn't mind, but pretty early before the line really. Bundy is a bit closer to the timeline, but ZST is making him, so I have no desire for a Mattel, same with Andre especially since the Hasbro was so good anyway.

Did they say anything about Hart Foundation being a double card like the old Tag Teams from Hasbro? Since it sounds like they're doing 2 packs for the NWO sets, it would be a perfect fit. And anything said about a ring coming back?

And anything said about a ring coming back? I don't think anything has been said about either, but I think the Hart's come on individual cards. They look to be in the same style as the first set, coming in a similar box as well.

The Hart foundation will not be a double card, as they need to fit in the rectangle box that was already displayed -- as mentioned above.

In addition to a new Rick Rude, would be nice to get a heel Jake Roberts in the black tights, with a cobra from 91/92. Surprised we never got that. Love the original fig but Jake always seemed a little small

I'd say it's very possible we'll see a Heenan Family set at some point; I thought a singles set on Creations rather than a tag set on Ringside (assuming more sets will follow the nWo) but either would great:
-Heenan would obviously be a must for this set; I'm sure we'll get a Bobby Retro at some stage.
-Short-haired Rick Rude I also think is a lock for the line at some point; if there was any doubt about the Mattel team knowing which figures we want from the line then the "missing pieces" bundle choices should put that to rest. Rude could appear in a more random set, but he would be too good a choice for a Heenan Family set to ignore.
-Big John Studd (if still available to Mattel after his recent Legends figure) I think would be a popular choice as he is well remembered, plus should be quite cheap since they'd just need a new head on a Braun body.
But the fourth is up for debate, especially given how many guys aren't available to Mattel.
I don't think we need to use one of the limited Retro spaces on a Mr Perfect given how definitive the Hasbros are (though I'd like an Executive Consultant Perfect, but not for this set); Andre's Hasbro is brilliant and a classic, plus he's already getting two independently covering the Heenan era as well as WrestleMania 2 - I think I'd only need a WrestleMania 1 or suited Andre in addition to those.
My first choice would be Mr Wonderful, but Red Rooster would be a fun choice as well given the nature of the line.
So:
-Heenan -Rude -Studd -Orndorff or Rooster

Throw King Harley Race into the Heenan family… would be a great addition!

Throw King Harley Race into the Heenan family… would be a great addition! That would be amazing, but Mattel sadly don’t have the rights to make Harley Race any more, so he’s not an option. Same as with King Kong Bundy, Haku, Hercules, Brooklyn Brawler, Brain Busters, etc. But Mattel can still do a decent set with the guys they can make - the key thing is to have Bobby and short-haired Rick Rude in the set and then you’re on very solid ground.

A Heenan family pack would be pretty tremendous, though I wonder if they would include either Andre or Mr. Perfect to help make it feel a bit more iconic. True that neither really needs an improvement from their Hasbro, but I could see either being included to insure strong sales. I also think it would be pretty cool to include Heenan in the Lawler bundle as a kind of hybrid announcers pack. Bobby, Gorilla, Lawler and Jesse Ventura (if possible) would be a huge hit with me.

Where did you hear that Mattel can’t do Harley? There have been quite a few questions about him in the Q&A thread since his Elite got messed-up years ago, and the answer has been along the lines of "...if we get the rights to him again..." (IIRC). I'm sure Steve would've got him back in the line by now if he was available given all the anger about what happened with his Elite - he has the Jake from that same series in the Greatest Hits line but Harley hasn't appeared anywhere since that Walmart series. Most of the Harley stuff was three years ago now and he hasn't reappeared, but maybe there are other reasons like budgeting him back into a line, but I'd have thought they'd have found a spot for him by now, even if they had to put him out as an Ultimate to make the numbers work. Hopefully I've got it wrong and we'll start seeing Harley soon from Mattel.

Count me in with the Heenan Family pack
I would love Barbarian included somehow and to be honest it would not really bother me if it was a mish mash of superstars from different eras of The Heenan Family.

I wonder if Mattel might follow with the tag team sets what they sort of did with the Legends recently - they released some nWo guys and DX guys over the course of a few series, so maybe they'll follow the upcoming nWo set with a DX set?
If so, then which DX would they go for?
Original line-up:
*Shawn: IYH DX black pants *Triple H: late jodhpurs/riding pants timeframe - WM14 black and green maybe? *Chyna *Rick Rude: Insurance Policy, maybe with a briefcase, maybe with an alternative Nitro head like the Build-a-Figure is getting?
Sets would likely need to be Triple H & Chyna; HBK & Rude - makes sense to split HBK and Triple H, plus having H and Chyna together is an obvious move.
Or the classic line-up:
*Triple H: we already got him in the purple in series 2, so maybe the red that they used as a chase in the Elite line recently? Or maybe they drop him altogether for Chyna since we already have the series 2, but seems odd to have a DX set without him being included *X-Pac: red gear *Road Dog: a few good variations here - probably go for something with the DX green in it *Billy Gunn: choose a good shorts colour to contrast with the others - the pink maybe? Or the lime green to match DX?
Outlaws together; Triple H & X-Pac together.
Or they could put together a cheeky pre-DX New Generation set:
*Hunter Hearst Helmsley: The classic black and red riding pants, though I like the black and white as well *1-2-3 Kid: Either the red or purple gear with the white pants *The Roadie: probably not a lot of choice, basically between the Jarrett corner-man gear and ring gear I guess *Rockabilly: black jeans (could pass for late heel Smoking Gunns Billy as well); wonder if they could do the sequins jacket?
Same combos: Roadie & Billy; Hunter & Kid.

I like the purple tights Triple H from series 2, but it's always felt like a bit of an odd choice to be the only representation of him in the line.

I really think that of the people we know they have access to that Vader should 100% be made ASAP.
