Hogan and Syxx seems like a strange tag team pack. Outsiders makes total sense. I think Bischoff would have gone better with Hogan or put them in box sets but on single cards. I think Hogan warrants a single card of his own. Still very happy that they are making really good choices generally. Hoping that RSC releases some tag team figure defender cases too if the retros are bringing back the tag team format. My Hasbro tag teams are in need of defenders!

Yeah, Bischoff would have made sense to go with Hogan, even Macho would have been good. EDIT: Or the Disciple.

Lawler looks incredible. Happy to see they have realised the mistakes from the first waves and are trying to fill gaps in the Hasbro line and add fam favourites. Wonder if ZST and Chella spurred them on a bit too. Would love some more from the 89-91 era that were missed. Think 92/93 was well covered by Hasbro

Hogan and Bischoff would have been the right move. Hogan and Syxx in a 2 pack is hilarious. I don’t even know if Hogan knows who that is lol. I’m buy two sets though. I’m just glad ringside is getting retros. Let’s think about other 2 pack sets Hogan and Paul Ordorff Studd and Andre Monsoon and Heenan

Any of the above could easily happen down the road though.

Thanks for the info; a Bischoff-Hogan two-pack would've been great but getting the four Hall of Famers out together in a set is very exciting.

Obviously keeping the unique style and features of the Retro cards, but giving them a special nWo flavour in terms of the colour-scheme for example, or at least a touch or two like the recent nWo and DX Legends boxes had?

I totally agree that the retros need more colour/distinction on the cards going forward like the hasbros. NWO would look awesome with black cards ,the harts with a pink backing and 2023 unreleased as a new colour.

Mattel is nailing the retro inspired stuff these days. I have said this before, but I would live for them to start putting the figures in a VHS style box. Keep the actual figures in the Hasbro style cards, but the big box being like a classic VHS would be so cool.

Think 92/93 was well covered by Hasbro Indeed, I think this is because by 92/93 they were pretty caught up on the big names, so were making just about everyone this is when we got guys like Skinner, Berzerker and all those guys. Lower card guys weren't covered as heavily when the line was new since they had to get the big names out, plus there were just way more guys on roster in those big years. And personally, I've thought for a long time Lawler in this blue/white gear may have been on the books to get made by Hasbro, probably would have been in the S10 or S11. Wonder if he was the one dropped from the Green set dropping it to 5 before they added in the 2 quick repaints. He was big in mid 93 in the fued with Bret, but would have been pulled due to his legal issues in late 93.

Hello a quick question, sorry if it’s been mentioned already, I didn’t know what phrase to search for.
Do we know Mattel Creations release/ order dates for:
Retro Wave 2 (Hart, Neidhart, Hart, Volkoff) = is it august 31?
Presumably called wave 3 (Tugboat Luger Valentine Doink) = TBC?
Thankyou

Wave 2 will be available for po on 8/31 or will it be in our hands by than? 6 weeks sounds a little too fast for delivery date...

Erm it’s clear that he’s saying Would a multi billion dollar worldwide company make decisions based on what a handful of people are doing in knocking out a run of figures which is insignificant as to not exist for Mattel
