I'm pretty happy with these. I wish anvil had a bigger frame, and I wish the singlet tops were molded on - but it sure is great to have the foundation released together.

I know we are excited about these, but man The Hart Foundation is pretty damn rough if we are being honest. The image on the Bret card is super freaking werid looking:(

I'm a teeny bit curious why they didnt go with the 1990-era Hart Foundation and instead went with something more akin to 87/88

Anvil in black and pink was a big want for me as a kid, but I wanted 94 Anvil from his time with Owen.
I hope this set does really well, especially since we are getting so few a year, but I'm only being motivated by the completionist in me on this one.

I know we are excited about these, but man The Hart Foundation is pretty damn rough if we are being honest. The image on the Bret card is super freaking werid looking:( My nitpick is that the straps are just way off on Bret and Anvil. I've seen a couple Jakks Classic Superstars packs that also did this, but when looking at real-life shots from the era the straps on their tops were a lot more uniform to the way they look on the Anvil figure. I agree the choice of using computer generated images for the carding is weird, especially when some look more real than others, but as a loose collector this doesn't bother me. My excitement for having the Hart Foundation in the retro fig-fed outweighs my issues with them as a whole, but I'm much more excited for the 2023 offerings.

Are the glasses on the Hart Foundation removable? I’m a huge Bret Hart mark but his figure looks bad and I don’t want any of the other guys so this is gonna be a pass for me.

I’ll get these but man, I’m not excited about them. I'm still excited for them... they seem to have been announced/shown ages ago though. I wish they could do the sets quaterly or something - it would really help build momentum and excitement for the line.

Think I’ve said before ideally for me they would be closer look to the Hasbros but even accepting mattels version, painted on singlets not moulded, Brets head and Volkoff with the stumpy weird little Piper legs (seriously, what are those?!) are downsides. I’m in because I bought the first set and I am looking forward to the ‘missing Hasbros’ set but meh.

You know, I might be out on this second set. I am super pumped that the line is back, but Bret and Anvil the more I look at them the less I like them. I'm a moc collector and that Bret image is terrible. I have no desire for a Nikolai Volkoff figure, but at least I could place him next to Iron Shiek. The only figure out of the four I actually like is Jimmy Hart.
Would it be worthwhile to buy the set, keep Jimmy and then sell the other three?

Pay $60 for the set. Sell Anvil, Bret and Volkoff for around $20 each. Keep Jimmy for free. All singles from Wave 1 are still north of $20 each on eBay, with Gene being +$30. Could see Jimmy sitting in that $30 spot this time around, and the rest in the $20 range. Maybe Volkoff is a little less, $15.

The Volkoff on card looks really plain without the USSR on his shirt I get why they did not do it, but it looks so plain. I am still very excited for wave three and the NWO waves, but this wave two is a real dud for me and the more I look at those moc pics to try and convince myself to get them, the more I straight up think three of the four figures look bad

I'm excited for them but not excited, as getting Mattel Creations stuff has largely not worked out for me. It's difficult to be free and on my phone when items go up. I would think the near-immediate sellouts have to be good for Mattel and the teams that work on these to get support for more figures, so I'm not complaining or advocating they change. If I want them bad enough, I'll go to eBay. With series one, eBay/convention prices weren't worth it.
